Laura's spot at the Viva Beach Life resort was exactly the peaceful getaway I needed! Stayed 4 days (3/22 to 3/26) and loved every minute—the simple pleasure of waking up to incredible ocean views, coffee cup in hand, NPR & you're literally steps from Mission Beach. Pictures don't do it justice; the place is even better in person & just as described. Laura was amazing—super responsive & made sure everything was perfect. Hands down, this is my new go-to spot for San Diego beach life. Highly recommend VBL if you're looking for a chill, quiet, peaceful vibe with an unbeatable location! Laura, you're the BEST! *Special Note* The garage parking may be tight for some larger cars, trucks, etc. I'm horrible at parking in tight spaces, but I found *free* overnight parking a block away heading west toward Mission Beach, aprx 50 spaces, & additional parking w/ limited parking hours (4am - 10pm). Also, be sure to bring a pad & pen if you would like to leave a note or jot something down. Enjoy!

My stay was what I was looking for in terms of a nice room and a very nice bathroom. Alex is a great host. Lots of restaurants and fun things to do nearby.

I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had a wonderful experience! The location was perfect – close to everything I wanted to see and do. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was also incredibly responsive and helpful, providing great recommendations and making sure I had a smooth and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb if you’re looking for a homey feel.

My family and I truly enjoyed staying at your beautiful home! Doug and Shawn really thought of everything for their guests! They are very professional, kind and responsive. The home is very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We walked everywhere without having to move our car which was a big plus! If you’re traveling with a baby they have a pack and play and high chair you can use. We only used the pack and play and that was super helpful for us. It was one less thing we had to pack for our trip. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing home this is the place for you! The outside patio is absolutely stunning! We sat outside for dinner one night and truly enjoyed it! The home is very clean and organized as well! I highly recommend staying here when visiting San Diego. Being so close to the beach is what sold us, especially when you have to walk there with little kids! Thank you once again Doug and Shawn for hosting us! We really appreciate it!

This beach house is everything and more. You won’t want to leave! We came out to celebrate my birthday and just relax for the holiday with local family. We had a great time. It was a bit chilly so we didn’t get to use the backyard as much as we would’ve liked but sitting in the living room with the door open and listening to the waves was priceless. Heather was so friendly and easy to communicate with. We had everything we needed. Dolphin and surfer watching every day and we even saw a whale. We will definitely be back!!! One tip: try to have a compact car so you can park in the driveway spot. Although, we never had trouble with street parking. My hiccup was the street sweep is early am and I was scared to get a ticket! Easy to work around though and well worth it for the location.

Jermaine’s place was exactly as described, clean and he was a very responsive host. Priced very reasonably, amazing views from backyard and master balcony. Can see from Tijuana to downtown SD and Coronado. Oranges in backyard were delicious and lots of nice flowers that attract birds (including hummingbirds). Would stay again

Zahra’s house was a perfect place for our group of 10 to stay. Comfortable interior with a spacious kitchen and living room and all the linens and pillows we needed. We were very impressed with the outdoor space as well and spent a lot of time lounging next to the pool and staying up next to the gas fire pit. The garage was useful for storing our bicycles and also for ping pong. Despite it being a newer listing on Airbnb, everything was in order and Zahra was very responsive during our stay when we needed assistance.

I recently stayed at Cindy’s Airbnb and overall, it was a good experience. The property is maintained, well-lit, and located in a great neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, and shops. The host was communicative and very kind. The living area was cozy, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like great coffee and available snacks.

This property is so special! Host was very accommodating and communicated well. My friends and I had the best time. We had everything we needed and more. Will def consider this property again next year for our annual trip.

My swimmers were very happy with the house and the services it had. Talking with them, they came to the conclusion that it is one of the best houses!

What a beautiful restored older cottage in a quiet neighborhood. So restful and charming. Fully handicapped if needed, including electric lift up to deck. Large, comfortable living space and full kitchen. The large deck is so welcoming. I would give it 10 stars if i could.

Directions were exactly how directed. Rustic house with just about what is needed. Just a little cold as expected(be sure to pickup firewood, prior)We had a memorable moment the first morning with deer in the back and front yards. Everyone enjoyed the stay. We would recommend to anyone how would like to stay out in the wilderness. Thank you Eileen!!

Inderjit’s listing is exactly what he says it is. We had two trucks and a small car park in the location. I would say you need a confident driver and a strong car to get to it though. The kitchen is so big and all 5 of us with a three year old were able to eat and cook simultaneously. It is definitely a cabin like feel including the wildlife, but you’re out in the hills so it’s expected. Inderjit was very kind, patient, and responsive to all of his guests. He communicated very effectively and resolved any identified issues promptly. We forgot our telescope, but luckily he had one available and we were able to see several planets. The location was right in the middle of several wineries and about 15 minutes from any grocery store. Definitely felt very personal, cozy, like visiting a family members home. Had more than enough functional air conditioning and a grill, perfect for a Memorial Day weekend. Great place to go rest and cool off at after a whole day of exploring and sight seeing!!

We loved staying here! As I told the host, it’s a little beach oasis in the middle of Carlsbad. Perfect set-up for our fur babies. If welcomed back, we would definitely stay here again.

Chris was an amazing host and I would definitely stay at this property again. It was a central location to the airport and an event we attended in Escondido. The surrounding neighborhoods had everything we needed; shopping, food, and beautiful views. All of the amenities at the property went above and beyond - including the gaming area in the family room and garage. One of the sinks were leaking during the visit and Chris was not only came by himself to check it out (at a time that accommodated us), but he incentivized our visit with a gift card for the inconvenience. A wonderful host and a wonderful property. I can’t wait to bring more friends and family and stay at this place again! Thank you so much Chris!

Beautifully well appointed home with careful attention given to making your stay as comfortable as possible. All the little extras make you feel welcome and pampered and we especially appreciated the manual with easy to use instructions and everything was labeled for easy use. The golf cart and pontoon boat were an added bonus we took advantage of. We will definitely be using this Airbnb again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the San Marcos area.
