Family-friendly vacation rentals in Santa Croce, Florence

We had an absolute perfect stay in Salverio and Lorenzo's flat. It was incredibly spacious - very unusual to have a 3 bedroom/3 bath flat to rent in such a highly sought after part of Firenze. The decor was a perfect blend of antiques and art mixed with contemporary furnishings. Having a washer/dryer was a fantastic addition. Our favorite part of the flat was the rooftop terrace at sunset. You feel like you are on top of all of Firenze looking across the buildings. The duomo view was breathtaking. It was magical and truly stunning. The location could not be more suitable for proximity to all of the sights and indulge in luxury shopping. Salverio and Lorenzo were so helpful and accommodating. We will most assuredly be back! Thank you to you both!

Massimo beschreibt den Weg zur Unterkunft sehr gut, das Häuschen liegt etwa 20 min südlich von Florenz mitten in den Weinbergen, sehr ruhig und malerisch in den toskanischen Hügeln. Wir waren zu dritt bei Massimo und uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Ob Stadtbesichtigung von Siena& Florenz, Weinverkostung oder einfach die Ruhe am Haus genießen: für alles das perfekt geeignet! Das Haus ist typisch toskanisch, Massimo und Beatrice haben viel Arbeit reingesteckt um ihren Gästen einen authentischen Aufenthalt zu bieten: trotzdem aber modern mit Klimaanlage- im Sommer geht’s auch kaum ohne! Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit!

I can not say enough about Alessandra and her amazing land! It was the most magical place we have ever been to. We are taking a 3 month trip, hitting up 21 cities in Europe and this is BY far the best! She was so kind and took us shopping and back to our train! She was always there when we needed her.thank you Alessandra we will see you next year!

Max was a thoughtful, responsive, kind and helpful host! We appreciated the care he took to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, the maps with suggestions for where to eat and what to do were a great bonus. We loved learning about his family history and staying in his family home - that was beautifully preserved and updated for our convenience! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back again!

Had a pleasant stay at Monica’s place. The AC was super nice to come home to after a long day in the June heat! Bonus points for having a second AC unit right in the bedroom! The place itself is super spacious and decorated very nicely. Sky lights within the unit allowed for lots of natural light, brightened the place right up (there are also blinds for each one to keep light out during sleep). Would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again!

Lovely apartment in the center of the city. Stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 daughters ages 17 and 22. So quiet considering the location in the middle of a busy area . Loved the big windows, the authentic decor and Riccardo was the sweetest - so helpful and gracious.

I cannot recommend Giovanni’s properties enough! His place is absolutely stunning, a million times better than the photos - and the photos are great! He provided a really helpful list of local recommendations long before we arrived, and kindly booked a Tuscan cooking class for us at a local restaurant (which was brilliant). Giovanni was extremely welcoming and provided us with a delicious selection of antipasti and a glass of wine each after a tour of the stunning grounds. Our property was very well equipped - with a fantastic coffee machine that deserves particular mention. It was spotless throughout and the beds were very comfortable. The highlight for us was the outdoor terrace, where we dined with stunning olive grove views - and the roof terrace, where we had a private hot tub with views to die for. I think the best reflection of how much we loved this place is that my husband and I both want to come back, and we never retrace our footsteps because there is so much world to see!

This Airbnb listing has a great location! It has a lot of space and is roomy and well appointed. The communication is also clear and precise and Filipo was very helpful with all the instructions! We had a lot of fun in our time here at Florence and would love to come back again.

Please do yourself the favor and book this space immediately. To call the home a palace would be an understatement. As a constant traveler, this is easily the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed at. Perfect view of the Uffizi gallery and river Arno. A 2 minute walk to the Ponte Vecchio and many surrounding markets and Osteria’s. Frederico is an amazing host and now a good friend of ours. He accommodated us and was super patient when we were checking out. The home is extremely well curated with beautiful works of arts and sculptures. The living room area is a great big space with giant windows that can be opened and marble bath tub and shower. I will be dreaming of returning to see our friend Frederico in Florence very soon. He has a kind soul and was very warm with us. Side note: our favorite restaurant was the Osteria Toscanella. Only a 5 minute walk from the space. Please tell Tony from the Osteria that Richard and Geraldine from Texas say “Hola”!!! Everyone made us feel at home.

We loved Antonio’s place so much! The location was priceless and walkable to everything! He was also super friendly and very accommodating to our travels. Also gave us great recommendations for dinner around the area! The stairs up to the Airbnb is a hike, but once you get to the top it’s 100% worth it. We will definitely coming back to stay in the future!

We stayed here in 2016 and it was even better than we remembered. A beautiful apartment, quiet and private, with amazing original features. The area is residential and round the corner is San Ambrogio food market. Lovely local restaurants all use fresh ingredients from the market. Wonderful evening in a street filled with locals enjoying food and drink. We could have spent the whole time exploring the locality.

Giulia nos espero con agua fresca en la heladera, shampu de ducha, jabón de manos y jabón intimo, toallas y sabanas impecablemente blancas, la cocina muy bien equipada, incluso había condimentos, sal azúcar, café...genial. Simona thought of so many details including a coffee maker and espresso maker. The location was close to everything with no more than a 30 minute walk to reach la Central Market and 5 minutes to Saint Ambrosia Market. Amazing apertive location with 10 minute walk. Staying in June temps were high and the AC provided was amazing. We will be back. Be sure to check out the local experiences like a pasta making class, it was amazing.

**Unforgettable Stay with Perfect Pool and Stunning Views** This BNB met our expectations during our family trip to Italy. The property was clean throughout, and the hosts went above and beyond with their hospitality - greeting us warmly in person and thoughtfully providing welcome snacks and a bottle of wine. The pool is absolutely perfect and became the centerpiece of our stay. Some of my most cherished memories from our entire Italy trip were spent relaxing by the pool with my family. The sunset views from the property are breathtaking and provided the perfect backdrop for our evenings. Both sisters who run this place are genuinely wonderful people who clearly care about their guests' experience. Their personal touch made our stay feel special and welcoming.

Anna was a fantastic host, who treated us with the upmost respect and kindness. While her place is a bit difficult to find at first, once you're there, you're in one of the most beautiful scenes we've seen during our time in Italy. Also, it was close enough that we were still early able to travel into Florence each day we were there. Anna was so nice in providing us with breakfast each morning, which included apricot jam from her fruit trees and homemade bread. We would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay outside of the busy city.

We loved our stay at Michaela’s house. The views were beautiful and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great location, very short walk to the town or easy bus ride into the center of Florence. We will definitely be back!

What a magical stay! Christine is a true host and not only has curated a beautiful space but she also was perfectly attentive to us during our stay. The apartment was as comfortable as it is beautiful. We took advantage of the outdoor grill and swimming pool and although we explored the area we would have been just as happy to stay “home” all day. The recommendations for the area were true gems. We had breakfast our last morning and it was the perfect ending to our stay! I don’t think you can find a more perfect place.

Die Aussicht ins Tal ist atemberaubend schön – man könnte stundenlang einfach nur dastehen und schauen. Der 28 Meter Pool? Besser geht es nicht – perfekt gelegen mit Panoramablick, absoluter Ruhe und einer Atmosphäre, die zur puren Entspannung einlädt. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich besonders macht, sind die Menschen: Jacopo, Sophia und ihre Kinder haben uns mit einer so herzlichen Offenheit empfangen, dass wir uns sofort wie bei guten Freunden gefühlt haben. Es ist einfach schön, solchen Menschen zu begegnen – authentisch, warm und voller Lebensfreude. Und dann war da noch Luba, die Schäferhündin – ein echtes Herz auf vier Pfoten! Sie hat uns jedes Mal mit solcher Freude empfangen, dass wir sie sofort ins Herz geschlossen haben.

Aura and Massimillio were so kind and helpful. The recommendation for dinner was delicious. The home has so much character and history-it was a great change of pace from the busy city of Firenze. Just amazing to sit and relax by the pool with some wine and look at the countryside.

Absolutely beautiful air bnb. The views and surroundings are breathtaking, we loved swimming in the pool whilst looking over the Italian countryside. Leonardo was a great host, always responded quickly and made us feel welcome. We will definitely come back for another stay.
