Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in San José Province

Rain ecolodge was extremely beautiful, I had a super relaxing stay and would go again 12 out of 10 stars

Honking the horn after hours to come in was awkward and I was told not to even come unless I called first before I arrived even after I paid and got receipt and the convo consisted of nothing important.

This place is a gem! The owner(s) clearly put a lot of love into the place and the landscaping. I absolutely loved the river access and enjoyed it every day - so many fun places to explore right from the Airbnb! I could easily spend an entire month here. I hope that I am able to stay again someday.

I liked the place very much, it was a blessing, very quiet. The host was very helpful, I needed a good wi-fi connection and he was able to provide. There is a lot to do in the place and is also conveniently close to Manuel Antonio's National Park and other beaches. I appreciate he was able to accomodate us in such a short notice.

Manoas was by far the best place we stayed during our trip to Costa Rica! Not only were the tents huge, clean and comfortable but the staff went above and beyond to help us with everything Steve was great at communicating and gave us some recommendations for a local tour company before we arrived as well as directions to the property. The campsite is 10-15 mins drive from the Ballena national park and there are supermarkets on the main road before entering the road up to the campsite (you will need 4 x 4) Upon check in we were assisted with our laundry and I asked if there was somewhere to get hot water (for our baby) and they found us a kettle to use in our room. We were also placed in a private spot and near the restaurant which was thoughtful The tents were amazing! The bed was huge and the bathroom was lovely and clean! There was a mini fridge, plates and glasses so it was easy to eat lunch on the surrounding balcony The restaurant serves a 3 course meal for 20 dollars per person which is well worth it as the food is spectacular and you won’t get a more beautiful setting. Breakfast is huge and tasty and 10 dollars per person too. The campsite has a lovely pool, a walk to the river for swimming and a lagoon to visit. The cicada are amazing-we have never heard them so loud and using an app on our phone measured them to be around 70-80 decibels during the day! They quietened at night and the gentle noise helped our baby sleep as it acted like white noise. In the early hours of the morning we heard howler monkeys which was eerie but amazing I could say so much more about this amazing place but think it is best experienced. Definitely the place to stay in Uvita!

Great tiny apartment, very well furnished with a little terrace. The host was very nice and responded quickly. We saw an agouti in the morning and some wildlife around the apartment !

Jon's place was a dream. The apartment is beautiful, nestled in gardens in the jungle. The location is so scenic, with an incredible view of the ocean from the deck. There's a lovely yoga shala that we loved practicing in. The kitchen is well stocked, and we loved cooking every night. The bedroom, bathrooms and whole house is very clean. We felt right at home. Jon is a welcoming, kind and fantastic host. He let us use the yoga shala and deck as much as we wanted, and even gave us rides into town when he could. We felt very safe and comfortable, which was a big deal to my partner and I, as we are a queer couple. We already miss our new friend! The apartment is located about 45 minutes up a steep mountain road. I didn't read the listing carefully, so I thought it was a bit closer to the beaches of Dominicalito. Even with the blisters from all the walking, we had absolutely no regrets though! We just wished we'd rented a car. Learn from us 😂

Severine and her husband Mark were very friendly hosts. Our place on stilts was a dream come true and decorated with a lot of love. Delicious breakfast. Definitely recommend this place to our friends

The cabin is beautiful and cozy. It is a very quiet and peaceful space even being so close to the restaurant and the main street. The access is super easy, the care of the hosts is unbeatable. We stayed on a very busy day for the restaurant, and the cabin is very close to the parking lot and the pedestrian access to the restaurant so other people were passing nearby, however there are curtains you can close and you almost don't realize it.

8 km drive on unpaved road. Nice, clean cottage, well-equipped kitchen. Great views and surrounded by greenery. Absolutely quiet. From the terrace we could watch many birds. 2 giant tokens greeted us in the morning.

We had a great experience. The attention of the staff was really outstanding, always attentive, friendly and willing to help. A special recognition to Jean Carlos for his great service and disposition, made our stay very pleasant. The only aspects to improve are the state of the road to get there, which is in poor condition, and the lack of signaling from it.

San Agustín is beautiful, we loved getting to know the place, the cabin is very cozy, with some foggy sunrises, perfect for drinking coffee on the upstairs terrace overlooking the coffee plantation.

Excellent place to rest and be in contact with nature, close to the easily accessible volcano, nice view, very quiet, excellent hosts and they also provide you with a lot of important information. Amazing breakfast, highly recommended

We had a completely factual 7 day stay at Toji's place ♥️ We were lucky to have almost all the wonderful place to ourselves in mid-April, and had great sunshine weather all days ☀️ The place was everything we had hoped for for a start to a great holiday with our 3 kids. Wonderful view, beautiful terrace area with pool, sun loungers, etc. really good, a little secluded location, close to local, really good beach, super welcoming staff, delicious food prepared by the place's lovely chef. We also saw a lot of animals on site, monkeys, parrots, lizards, frogs, toucans, etc. All in all an extraordinarily amazing place that we can really recommend 😍🌴☀️♥️ We wish we had had the opportunity to have stayed some longer! Pura Vida!

Super comfortable beds, the room is new, everything is very nice, clean, tidy. Although the place is still under construction it is already perfect for staying. The pool is super big and delicious.

This place was located nicely in some beautiful hills with a great view. A cozy cabin with comfy and clean beds. The neighbors kept us up with some loud music for a little while and there is a wood burning stove. The stove worked great, of course, and they stocked plenty of wood outside for it, but does require a little more effort than an electric or gas stove. Overall, really liked the place.

Amazing views, clean and special rooms and Francisca and Luca were very friendly hosts!

As a host I found it very kind, I always responded to inquiries. The place is very quiet, cool, beautiful. I loved that they will accept my two puppies 🐶 🐶 The delicious cafeteria….❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷 If you need to be in touch with nature it's the place to be! I recommend it 1000% 🌿🌱🪴🍀🌿🥬🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃

The area where the accommodation is located is very nice, the peace, tranquility and the cabin made the stay very worthwhile, thanks to the host for guiding us to get there and always being attentive

Everything was fine and we wished he had brought more time the beautiful ranch. Milton is an unbelievable kind Person and rally helped us with everything.

Brett was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. He even offered to pick things up for us and drive us to the other side of town. This spot is super cozy and perfect for bird watching.

What a magical, relaxing place. We had a lovely 3 days staying with Guiselle, she is the friendliest and kindest host, welcoming us with homemade treats and fruit. The cabin was perfect, we loved sitting out on the balcony looking out at the distant lights of San Jose and the surrounding mountains. And we were right around the corner from the Toucan Rescue Ranch! Thank you Guiselle for a perfect stay.
