Gorgeous Serenity in the City with Views near Haight Ashbury Golden Gate Park

Settle into this amazing, light filled, stunning old San Francisco Victorian that I have called home for 23 years. With incredible south facing city and park views, relax in the open space of a large great room! Filled with character, this completely renovated Victorian has 118 years of history and stories to tell. We are centrally located to the culinary delights of NOPA and the Haight Ashbury / Cole Valley neighborhoods and perfect for walking and exploring. Take a stroll or go for a run in Golden Gate Park (two blocks away) and don’t forget to check out Ocean beach at the far end of the park. Let us know if you have special requests, we would love to customize your stay, offer recommendations of restaurants to visit or share the location of many great hikes or places of interest to visit here in San Francisco or just outside the city. Our available three bedrooms in the flat are great fit for families and groups up to 6 adults (2 per bed in queen size beds). The décor of our home is one of a kind in terms of family heirlooms, vintage décor, collectibles and amenities gathered from our travels though out the world including from trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Columbia, Peru, Argentina, India, Nepal, Morocco and Egypt and here in the US including San Francisco. If you love to cook, we have a gourmet kitchen with professional appliances (Wolf and Subzero) and a large dining table that comfortably sits 6 people. The entire flat is light filled and airy. This entire building was meticulously renovated and detailed by me and various craftsmen over the course of my 23 years living here and features a 700 square foot south facing great room with incredible city views of the park and twin peaks. Each room has been appointed with hotel quality mattresses and bedding and enough closet space for you to make yourself at home. Both bathrooms have been fully renovated and the entire home features radiant floor heating and dual pane windows to keep you warm on those chilly SF nights. Our home is stocked with books, games, playing cards and is a perfect place to unwind and relax with friends and family. Nest Learning Thermostats keep the house at a perfect temperature. A washer & dryer in the flat are available for your use. Bedrooms - Bedroom #1: Is one of two front bedrooms, features a queen wrought iron bed with a spacious dresser. The closet has stacked double hanging rods for tons of storage space. This room has a bay window looking out to St. Ignatius Church. Bedroom #2: Is the second of two front bedrooms and features an armoires as well as a large closet and a queen size upholstered bed. This bedroom also has views of St. Ignatius church. This bedroom features a chandelier original to the house. Bedroom #3: Is nestled in the interior of the house which makes it extra cozy and has two large closets, a large dresser and queen size upholstered bed. The Bathrooms - The first bathroom features a modern tub/shower, beautiful porcelain subway tile and herringbone bathroom floors. There is plenty of storage in the custom cabinets and vanity. There is plenty of hot water for a hot shower or relaxing soak in the tub. The second bathroom features a large shower with porcelain subway tile and herringbone floors. There is plenty of water pressure in this shower! Both bathrooms have organic and natural brand shampoos, conditioners and body washes. The Kitchen - The kitchen is well equipped with chef grade All-clad and Le Creuset pots and pans, Global chef’s knives and Laguiole steak knifes and utensils and serving sets. For coffee drinkers there is a burr grinder and insulated stainless steel French press. For tea drinkers a loose leaf tea pot. Parking - I am often asked if I have parking available in my garage. Unfortunately I do not as I keep my personal vehicle and a few motorcycles that I use on a regular basis inside and unfortunately there is no additional room. Street parking in the neighborhood is allowed at night and on the weekends. Residential parking permits for residents are required between the hours of 8am to 6pm However non resident may park during those hours for up to 2 hours. It has been my experience that parking enforcement does not begin until 930 am and ends by 330 pm however this is not guaranteed. Given a two hour allotment for non residents you are usually safe to park up to about 10 am and safe to park after 330pm with out getting a ticket or two hours during those posted permit times. Non residents may park on Fulton street west of Stanyan street which is about 2 block from my home. This street requires no permits however be mindful of the once a week street cleaning that takes place for a few hours and is posted on street signs along Fulton street. Amenities We have wifi and a number of amenities to make sure your stay is a wonderful one. I provide fresh whole local boutique coffee beans and an assortment of teas We provide organic laundry detergents and softeners for your stay as well. The unit features a smart TV with guest accounts for Netflix and Hulu. We are available and happy to answer questions about your stay and SF to make the most of your trip. Our location In the heart or center of the city just a few blocks from incredible Golden Gate Park, the apartment is within walking distance of NOPA/Divisadero street corridor of incredible restaurants, Haight Ashbury, The DeYoung museum, Academy of Sciences, Conservatory of Flowers, Stow Lake, plus many other great restaurants and shops. Transportation Many great options for public transit exist including metro light rail, Hayes 21 and Fulton 5 bus lines blocks away and of course Uber and Lyft. The Muni N Judah line at the intersection Carl street & Cole street stop is just 8 blocks away (10 minutes walk) and can take you downtown in just 15 minutes or out to the Ocean Beach. There are many places/kiosks to rent pedal and e-bikes “Bay Wheels” nearby as well. Walkable location - Walking Score of 96 makes us a walkers paradise And Bike Score of 93 There are “Bay Wheels” bike sharing stations 2 blocks away at Fell and Stanyan and 3 blocks away at Grove and Masonic There is a local corner store "Cindy's Market" at the intersection of Cole street and Hayes street that has a great selection of drinks, beer and wine as well as food and other items and an assortment of restaurants and coffee next door HOUSE SUPPLIES The flat is fully stocked with cleaning essentials, clothing irons, ironing boards, etc. We also provide cooking basics like spices and olive oils. Accessibility For those that are mobility impaired please note There are 10 steps from the side walk to the front entrance / porch (This is fairly typical of most San Francisco homes). El Nido—a Magnificent Victorian Home

Architectural elements like the wooden beams and whimsical shapes of the rooms inspired a Cuban approach to integrate traditional styles into the modern updates. Notice the Spanish-Moorish tiles, the charming skylights, and artisanal decor items. It's a very special home. You will feel like you are staying in a luxury spa. Every detail has been meticulously thought out; from the hangers in the bathroom to every appliance, every picture on the walls and the selection of Spanish-moorish tiles both in the bathroom and kitchen. It doesn't matter if you are staying for 3 days, for a week or for longer. The place has been purposely designed for your thorough enjoyment and extreme comfort. You have a full walking closet with capacity to hang as much clouding as you can carry and as many as 40 pairs of shoes. Of course you have top quality linens and towels as well as all the essentials for a 5-stars hotel experience. El Nido es the top unit of a former home; there are other 2 units occupied by very decent and quite families, but they have their completely separate entrances, so you will not be sharing common spaces with anyone; in fact, the entire space is at your disposal and at your disposal only, every square foot both of the apartment and of the private deck is entirely and exclusively for your use. My partner and I are avid travelers; we are AirBnB users as well; hence, we appreciate the availability of hosts as they are locals with ample knowledge of the amenities and less obvious gems of their cities. We want to let you know that we will be happy to be available as a friendly and willing source not only of problem solving, but also of information and guidance. How much interaction is for your to freely decide. Voted one of the 10 most interesting cities in the US by The Traveler magazine, Oakland is a growing area that has a wonderful selection of unique restaurants, shops, and bars. Take in the harbor views nearby and spend a fun day out on Lake Merritt. Lake Merritt Bart Station to San Francisco: Bart takes you to San Francisco (Only 2 short stops, an about 7-minutes ride, and you are in Embarcadero, the very epicenter of “the City”). It also takes you to and from both San Francisco International and Oakland International airports. While this station is only 1.2 away from the apartment, it is a good 25 minutes-walk. It is a lot easier and comfortable if you take Uber or Lift. For those of you more intrepid, there are also bikes or even those city-scooters that people leave anywhere. A major bus line runs down the Lake on Foothill Boulevard (which you catch at the intersection of 7th Ave @ Foothill, only 800 feet away). The same line brings you back one intersection over (@ E 14th). Both streets are one way, so the nearest goes down the Lake and the subsequent brings you back. Nevertheless, as we said earlier, Taxis and app-based ride services like Uber and Lyft work quite efficiently and inexpensively in our area. Nearby Stores Some popular grocery store options include: • Lucky's, a natural foods supermarket: less than half a mile • Several Chinese and Vietnamese minimarkets on International Boulevard. Less than 5 blocks away. • Trader Joe's (a specialty market): 2.3 miles Nearby Restaurants We recommend all of these restaurants: • Champa Garden (Laotian/Cambodian) 2102 8th Ave. @ 21st St. (510) 238-8819 Reservation recommended. Shelter Here! Escape to the beach. Less than 50 yards walk to fishing pier and beach. Updated electrical, plumbing, insulation, dual pane windows, newly landscaped front yard with deck. Stainless steel appliances and a convenient breakfast bar. The backyard has BBQ, fire pits (2), pergola. Take long walks along beach and into the hills on open access trails, surf at the beach, or catch dinner off the pier, (no fishing license necessary. Walk to food stores, shopping, local restaurants, and cafes. Two large smart TV's with streaming apps. Cottage built in 1951, but is totally refurbished with a new kitchen, hypoallergic flooring, comfortable furnishings, wifi, HDTV (cable), and REALLY easy access to the beach, costal trails and pier fishing. It is finished off with lots of nice decorative touches and a huge library of great beach reading. This is a private home that we love to use frequently for our own enjoyment, but when it is leased out to our AirBNB community, it becomes their private space with one small exception. We do reserve a couple of drawers and cabinets for our own stuff and hope that you will respect those places. There will be a notebook on the kitchen counter with house rules, instructions on the use of the fireplace, ceiling fans, and other appliances along with emergency numbers and suggestions for other activities. We live relatively close and are always available for questions. Please note that the listing price includes a 12% occupancy tax from the city of Pacifica and a $1 a day excise tax, also from the city of Pacifica. It is just steps down a quiet street to the stunning Pacifica Pier, beach and beach promenade. Fish, crab, play on the beach, walk the flat 1-mile trail along the beach, or hike into the hills from the promenade. Restaurants, golf and shopping are both in walking distance or just a short drive away. Since parking is not an issue, using your car to get around is an option. Bus lines 110 and 112 have stops within 2 blocks of our home and can take you south to Half Moon Bay or north into San Francisco. Eating, Shopping and Activities Pacifica Immediate Neighborhood Restaurants: Chit Chat – 50 steps to the right out our front door. Somewhat of a dive, but had a good hamberger there Café Pacifica – left to Palmetto, left 2 blocks past Salada. Coffee, pastries, sandwiches. Haven’t tried it yet. Appreciate comments Longboards Marguarita Bar – cross pedestrian bridge over Rt 1 left at Palmetto then right on San Jose and then over bridge. Haven’t tried it yet, but looks like fun and they have live music Food Store: Oceana – next to Longboars. Nice little market with good fish, meat and produce Fishing Pier – need your own equipment and a license. Golf: Sharp Park short drive south on Francisco Blvd (street after Palmetto). Historic, inexpensive and generally easy to get on. You may borrow our clubs in the garage. Walk & Jog on the promenade. 1 mile to steps up to Mori point trails Manor Plaza – 1 mile north on Palmetto Restaurants: Mazzetti’s Bakery: my favorite place for a pastry and coffee. Great quality and low prices. Have take and bake pizzas. Paesano’s: next to Safeway. Italian. Looks good, leave a review (haven’t tried it yet) Food Store: Safeway Hardware: Ace Rockaway Beach Area – 2 miles south on US1 Restaurants: Moonraker: 105 Rockaway Beach – Upscale seafood on water Nick’s Rockaway – 100 Rockaway Beach – seafood, happy hour, live music on weekends Gorilla Barbeque: - on the way to Rockaway just off US1 – 2145 Coast Highway

Views from every room to the surrounding forest. Down a long path is the entrance of the home. Not appropriate for guests with limited mobility. Renovated with new furnishings, beds and high quality linens. Refinished original hardwood floors throughout. Renovated kitchen features restored vintage Wedgewood range, Kohler farmhouse sink with Brizo faucet, new Kitchen Aid dishwasher, and custom cabinetry. Thoughtfully designed custom lighting, as well as lighting by Restoration Hardware & Rejuvenation. My husband and I live in the neighboring town of Tiburon, and use this home occasionally as a nearby retreat to rest, enjoy the outdoors, and spend family time with our kids living in nearby San Francisco. Kindly note our strict policy precluding any gatherings larger than 6 guests. To access the house, please note the entry includes a relatively long pathway leading to our home. The redwood steps are newly built and comply with code standards for outdoor steps (evenly spaced, graded with proper incline, and tread height). Due to the many steps it may be challenging for those with limited mobility or small children. You have access to the entire home during your stay, as well as nearby public walking trails into town. I will provide my guests with access information to the house a couple of days before arrival. There will be additional information about the house on a welcome letter there inside; and, while your privacy will be completely respected, we are happy to be available to answer questions. Nestled in the hills, the property boasts a scenic walking path which leads down into Mill Valley town square. The nearby station offers bus transportation into San Francisco. Muir Woods National Monument is also located within an easy drive or an adventurous two and a half mile hike. It is most convenient to drive to our place. To get around Mill Valley there are many interesting walking paths and trails to explore the immediate area. Uber and Lyft are convenient for rides leaving the town square. For day trips into San Francisco, ferries depart from nearby Sausalito & Tiburon. Also, bus transportation into SF leaves from the Mill Valley town square. House layout includes— upstairs: one queen bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, vintage style bathroom, deck with dining furniture, office, and music/art room—this level does not have central heating, but does have radiant floor heating in bathroom, remote control heater in bedroom, & radiant heaters in kitchen and living room. downstairs: three bedrooms, cedar lined bathroom, living room with TV, laundry room, and two decks with lounge furniture; this level does have central heating. The house is in a secluded, wooded neighborhood with quiet neighbors. Enjoy 3 different decks on the top floor, each with a different ocean or forest view. Inside the home, you will enjoy the clean and comfortable space with luxurious touches throughout. The treehouse comes with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. It has 3 bedrooms, a full bath, and a full kitchen with everything you need to make dinner for 6. The house cannot sleep more than 6 people including children of any age. A total of 8 people can be in the house. After 8 pm additional guests need to vacate the premises. This is to ensure the continued use of our permit as well as to respect our neighbors. Beautiful Luxury Victorian near San Francisco, Beach, Oak

Bring the past back to life in this updated historical residence. The house features original architecture details, a neutral color scheme, contemporary and antique furnishings, contrasting textures and patterns, and an outdoor dining area. Parties are not allowed. This is a beautiful Victorian house built in 1908, with delightful vintage details throughout, and recently luxurious upgrades from top to bottom. It is decorated with French Country theme. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and welcoming. House is equipped with high speed internet (free wifi), flat screen TV, and wash/dryer. Guests will have access to the entire house and the garden. I am a very easy going person. Every guest will be respected and be cared for during their stay. Absolutely no problem if you break a dish, a glass, or accidentally scratch a table or spill something on the carpet. Things are meant to be used and guests should live freely during their visit. I live in Santa Clara, 45mins south of Alameda. Not onsite most days, but always available by phone or text, and will give guests immediate attention. My kind neighbors Dean and Stacy offered to help in emergency situations. My grown up son, Sean (25), lives half miles away from the Airbnb is able to help as well. The home is in a charming neighborhood where people are very friendly and welcoming. It is walking distance to Webster Street, filled with restaurant and shops, and a few minutes walk to the Crown Beach with miles of trails and stunning views. The Victorian house is convenient and central located, walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, 7 miles to Oakland International airport, 4 miles to Coliseum, Oracle Arena. Going to San Francisco, 12 miles by land, you have the options of taking the ferries, Bart (Lake Merritt Station) and bus AC Transit Route O (Santa Clara/9th bus stop, a few minutes walk) https://sfbaytransit.org/actransit/route/O Party is not allowed and quiet time is 9:30pm.

Our unique San Francisco lodging on Russian Hill is convenient to many interesting shops and boutiques nearby. The historic San Francisco cable car system is only a short 1/2 block away. The accommodation is very private with a separate entrance and private deck. Since we are behind another building there is very little street noise. It is like being in the country in the middle of San Francisco. There is a queen bed and also a sofa bed but it is an additional cost. Three people, 2 beds add $15 per night, two people 2 beds add $7.50 per night. I live on the property so I am usually available by phone or text. At this time there is no personal interaction The home is located in an eclectic neighborhood with residents of all ages. It is 1/2 block to the cable car and 2.5 blocks from the popular Polk Street, which offers an array of ethnic restaurants and shops. It is within walking distance to North Beach and China Town. The vibrant Financial District is also close by. The cable car line, going to Fishermans Wharf and Union Square is 1/2 block away, Buses going all directions are 2 1/2 blocks away.
