Penthouse Suite room 77 Historic Val Verde Hotel

KamillaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A unique and spooky experience to stay in a haunted hotel. The rooms and bedding were comfortable, the kitchen has quite a bit (could use more large frying pans) and we made a delicious breakfast there. We were two couples and the space was great. One husband said he heard someone walking away from the other bedroom five times and not returning throughout the night. We played clue at the kitchen table and watched a birding movie in the living room, as we prepared to go to Bosque Del Apache for sunset and sunrise. Bosque Del Apache was incredible with Sandhill Cranes landing at sunset and calling to one another. We saw two owls at sunset. The weather was so nice as a bonus. At sunrise, we saw a bald eagle and some deer with one sipping out of the edge of the water and two walking through another area of water. Magical!

Serene 3 BR retreat on a rural farm

We stayed here with our dog over thanksgiving and had a lovely time. Very spacious and clean home. A little taste of the rural life, some wildlife and open fields. Just to reiterate another review, make sure you follow Kelly’s written directions, the gps is incorrect the last little stretch. Thank you so much Kelly and Mark!! Will definitely stay again when we come up to visit family.

KaHoon Campground and Event Center Site: Winterfat

Super cool experience! Remember this is off grid living. Expect a lot of dirt road getting in. directions from Melody were fantastic, G Maps, has no idea what is and isn't roads out there, so just follow her directions. We checked in early to see and find the site during daylight first. Would recommend. It's a great place to camp, star gaze, or as we did, catch the eclipse! Again, very friendly, great place, and with a communal fire pit. We loved it.

Stargazing delight! Super remote and private. Directions were accurate and detailed, but you are going on an adventure to find the location. Our host was super friendly and extra details to make our night enjoyable.

This is a wonderful place to stay for seeing cranes and snow geese. This was our second time. Just as great as the first. Highly recommend.

Nice people and very helpful. They met up with me and showed me the way there. I usually camp on blm this is pretty much that but with a host, road was a little rough for my Harley but doable. They have a little gift shop with things they make and drawings of her. I picked up a ring. All in all it was a great stay.
