We rented this house as a base where our family could stay while local family and friends visited with us during a time of loss. The house was peaceful as was the setting with lots of space for people to gather for small conversations and also large meals. The house is beautiful, tastefully decorated, stocked with everything you could need, and equipped with the extras. There was plenty of space for family to sleep, friends to gather, and hearts to rest. We would definitely rent this place again. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets were a bonus.

Great place to stay with family or friends. It was our family ski trip to snow creek her place was only 15 minutes drive.The home is nicely done, has lots of of puzzles and games to entertain my whole family loved the house. I will definitely come back next time we come to the area.

Paul was a fantastic host. Extremely responsive and so easy to work with. The house was perfect for our group of 15 and slept everyone comfortably. The house was very clean and very well maintained.

our 2nd stay here in Stewartsville. about 1 mile off the highway on the main street in town. I've been staying at Airbnbs since 2014 and this place is in my top 3. it is about an hour to Kansas City, so if you don't mind the drive it's perfect. it's in an old building with hardwood floors, so the sound from the upstairs neighbors were a bit loud one night. it sounded like they had boots on. Charity has all the utensils and cookware you would need, even a cockpot ( ill remember this for next year) highly recommend place to stay. Just 1 mile south it's pitch dark at night so we went to see the stars in the night sky too. Bravo Zulu!!

Fantastic stay. 10/10. Beautiful, well built, cozy and VERY spacious home. Two large bathroom, up to 5 beds if you include the futon. Owners are present but not overbearing. All animals we encountered were sweet and tame. You pretty much get to rent a large home with a petting zoo in the front yard, and lake access with great fishing about 45 seconds down the road. Smithville is bumpin. So much to do around the lake and so many good restaurants. We will be back!

Plenty of room for the five of us in town for baseball vs MWSU. Loved the kitchen/family room. Easily held us and others that stopped in for dinner after the game. Would recommend for anyone needing 2-3 bedrooms.

Lovely house and neighborhood that was perfect for the children and I. We traveled for a family funeral and my siblings also came by to tell stories while sitting in the back garden. My siblings were also impressed with the house and surrounding area. The house was 15 minutes from Kansas City International, but you don't hear aircraft landing or taking off. We didn't have time to visit museums or other local sites.

Had a great stay! Place was very private and peaceful. Place was clean and just as described. Tammy answered all our questions and was a great host. Would highly recommend and hope to stay here again in the future.

It was like staying at grandma’s house . Out in the country and Steve and Tammie had fresh chicken eggs and Steve makes homemade jelly which was great. I will stay there again!!

This older remodeled small home was very comfortable and well stocked. The neighborhood was very quiet and felt safe. To note, however, one of the beds is very tall and as a 5'2" person, I could not get up in it. There isn't a television in the bedroom as pictured but the tv in living room is huge. The owners were quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

We were the first to book for the season; they often close for the winter. We have stayed here prior and consider it our “go to” for the area. Upgraded furniture and leather recliners. They added features to the kitchen (which is nothing short of amazing). We cook in quite a bit and wanted for nothing. Upgraded outdoor spaces including a kitchen! Stop scrolling and just book this place. It is beautiful, they take good care of you, and they clearly work hard. See you next year!
