Small cottage with charm at Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk upwards from the parking lot. Here there is simple life without electricity and water. The road up is a nice trip, a bit heavy some lots. Recommend going upstairs before dark. Remember good shoes and warm cloths. At the top, the prize awaits, flat and nice with lovely views:) Bunk bed in kitchen, sofa bed in living room. Remember sleeping bag+pillowcase, bed sheets are in the cabin. *Road fee NOK 50,- *Remember drinking water! Dishwashing water is available in the cabin *storm kitchen/portable *Outhouse

The surroundings are experienced deserted and untouched, but also central. Lots of opportunities to vary experiences throughout the year. Great log cabin with beautiful views (500 meters above sea level) just an hour from Oslo. The cabin is well equipped with a fireplace and wood stove in the living room. Kitchen with dishwasher. The cabin has a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. One bedroom on a loft (note: steep staircase) and one in 1 floor. Both bedrooms have a double bed. Several good hiking opportunities, driven ski runs right by the cabin. Close to forest and field hiking trails, bathing facilities. A great place for all four seasons.

There are plenty of hiking tracks in the forest, and we have two bikes for rent so you can explore the countryside roads. Storsjøen is a large lake great for fishing both in the summer and winter. In the summer, you can take the river down to the village of Skarnes, situated on Norway's longest river Glomma. We have a boat, a canoe and a kayak for rent.
