Great hosts!! Really friendly, responsive and caring! I booked this for family visiting Nottingham for the first time and I’m glad we did! My family felt right at home and were delighted with their stay! They were very comfortable staying in this private annex and really liked the homely touches and warm welcome they received from the hosts. They said they would love to stay here again :)

Double room at the Bulls Head

ColinRating, 5 stars30 months ago
On our first visit to the area and first use of airbnb we chose to stay at The Bulls Head Hartshorne enticed by the price, photographs and reviews. The pub was easy to find with ample parking. We were greeted by David who couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay, assisting in the arrangement of taxis to and from a local gastro tapas bar. We had a fabulous lunch before returning to the pub to then have an equally fabulous evening meal. Beccy, the host, greeted us and engaged with us in a lengthy chat about mutual interests that added to the overall enjoyment of our short stay. Both she and David (who works for Beccy) provided a warm and welcoming experience so often lacking in larger B&B/guest house establishments. The room was exactly as described allowing for a restful nights sleep before a huge full English breakfast to set us up for our journey home. We will definitely be returning.

Spacious Annexe in Riverside Village

HarryRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Where do I start! The most lovely hosts you could ever ask for. I arrived late at night from a work event in London. After a couple of long days I was in need of some peace and relaxation. From the moment I checked in Sue made sure I had everything I needed, brought me some milk and offered extras, as she knew I wouldn't have much with me to start with (the rest of my party were arriving the following day). The place itself is roomy, cosy, clean and perfect for a group of 4. Proper coffee pods were welcomed with open arms haha and I was particularly impressed that the pool table is a slate bed playing surface rather than wooden. The star of the show had to be Milo, the mini Daschund, he was a joy to spend time with in the garden and was such a good boy keeping watch, lounging in the sun, playing fetch with us and eating treats 😁 Pete and Sue went the extra mile by lending us some essentials we had forgotten and needed for the wedding we travelled for. Thank you so much!

Fabulous 3 night stay as a family of 6. Cottage is bigger than it appears in the photos, plenty of room for all of us. Really well equipped, great shower, wonderful location, lots of charm. Children loved the cats that came to visit and looking out on the horses. Dermot and Anne were lovely hosts, really friendly and gave us useful local information along with breakfast items, tea coffee etc. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and book again. An absolute gem. Thank you

The Airbnb is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Lottie added some really nice touches like homemade gin, cordial and cookies as well as some soft drinks and milk in the fridge. We also really appreciated the children’s toys and books inside as well as the playhouse, swing and trampoline outside, which kept our little ones entertained.

The Stables - cosy up in comfort in the country.

NeilRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
It’s a little treasure, tucked away in the peace and quiet of the Derbyshire countryside. It’s quite spacious for two, with good amenities and good local information. We can see from comments left in the visitors book that the “welcome pack” is legendary - very generous, down to the eggs from the nearby chickens. We loved our stay and would go back anytime.

Beautiful place in the heart of Derbyshire

ElizeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had a really wonderful stay. James was incredibly responsive, replying to my late-evening enquiry within minutes. Clear instructions made check-in easy, even late at night. I arrived to find the cottage warm and welcoming, with the heater and heated towel rails on. On the colder evenings, the air conditioning unit worked really well to warm up the space quickly. I was a bit unsure about the sofa bed, but it turned out to be really comfortable and I slept very well! I didn’t spend much time at the cottage, but waking up to stunning countryside views each morning was such a treat - it felt like being on a farm. The cottage had everything I needed for my 6-night stay and was the perfect base to explore from, with convenient parking right by the main house and a few steps to the cottage. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The entire cottage was spotless! A special thanks to the host for lending me a camping chair for my son’s cricket match. Highly recommended!

New 2025 Countryside Retreat Karaoke Bar & Hot Tub

EthanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The area is super peaceful and quiet, the house was easy to find due to the owners simple instructions, and checking in was very simple too. The house is incredible! Very unique and different, the cinema room, mini bar, karaoke and pool table was a great addition, and super fun. Little bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music, which was great for us. There is a little sign featuring plenty of recommendations of places to go, and places to eat, which is very helpful. The shower was lovely and warm, and the bedding was very comfortable The garden area is nice, (easy to use hot tub, tables and chairs, sunbeds). Also gives you a pretty view of the field behind. Both owners are very polite, and quick to respond to any concerns. The only issue we encountered was that the place could be a little bit cleaner; (few cobwebs, dusty in certain places, food in the sink). Other than that it was perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re a young couple.
