This was perfect for my daughter and son in law travelling up from Devon for a family event, they had a horrendous journey due to fatal accident on motorway . Thelma was so understanding of the situation and very helpful . They felt very welcome and Thelma goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome .We will definately be visiting again when family are visiting , everything was supplied to make them feel at home . Thank you Thelma for looking after them .

We had a great couple of nights at Stephen’s place with our little boy. Nice and cosy with equipped kitchen, as well as some essentials such as milk, butter, bread, fruit etc. Great location for exploring, walking and days out. Would stay again.

Claire’s property was just as described, in a beautiful position in a truly pretty village. Rose and Crown in Burwash in easy walking distance and serving excellent food. Would certainly like to re visit

Lovely cosy and comfortable little house in a beautiful location. Ideal for a short break and great that it is dog friendly - short stroll to beautiful beach and coastal walks. Communication with Liz was excellent and the welcome cream tea on arrival was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come again

Sophie and Joe have a very special little place that they are kind enough to let us experience. A beautiful annexe so thoughtfully designed and decorated. And nestled in the beautiful countryside surrounded chickens, pigs, cattle and donkeys. Came away wishing for just one extra night but feeling very rested

What an absolutely gorgeous stay in a beautiful location. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived, the lodge was spotless and the hot tub and pool a real treat. The lodge is surrounded by stunning gardens making it feel very peaceful and secluded, the perfect spot for a girls staycation. Becky was really accommodating and always on hand to answer any questions. Thank you. We look forward to returning already!

Beautiful accommodation in a very peaceful location. Made to feel very welcome by Kate & Will and their dogs & cat! Very nice to have some treats left in the fridge & the brownies were great. Good food at The Black Horse, worth the walk up the hill. Excellent base for exploring this part of the country, the walk up to the common is steep but the views are amazing. We only had a short visit but would definitely recommend this place.

Karen and Ally went the extra mile for us as hosts. They were so helpful with local beach, walking and cycling recommendations. Lovely people. So kind and friendly and will hopefully see/stay with them again when visiting the area. The place was really clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our time there. The area is very peaceful. ideal for anyone wanting a quiet break away. Thank you Karen and Ally!

Thank you Jacqueline for a wonderful stay at the Granary Cottage. Such a beautiful and luxurious place to stay. Spotlessly clean and every luxury laid on. The bedroom here is the highlight, it's a dream, would be hard to imagine a nicer place to sleep. We stayed for 4 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Hosts Jacqui and Ian were wonderfully helpful and welcoming. Would give 6 stars if we could.

This was a really lovely place to stay. The village is lovely and the home was perfect for our needs. The sofa bed is comfortable and it was great to have things like kids cutlery and plastic cups too. The kitchen is well stocked. Having access to the shared garden was a particular highlight, as was the gorgeous birdsong. It's great for access into Tamworth, there's a garden centre a 2 min drive away that does a great breakfast and there's a brilliant play park in the village.

The Coach House was wonderful! Two of us stayed here for a girl's weekend, so it was helpful to have two car spaces as we travelled separately. Inside the Coach House, we had everything we needed - everything had been thought of. We really enjoyed the space, and particularly enjoyed the fire pit for a chilled late spring evening. Thank you for letting us stay with you, we'd love to return!

We had such a memorable experience staying here — just myself and my three boys aged 7, 12, and 13. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home. Marley was incredibly friendly with a great sense of humour that had us all laughing and relaxed. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and ideal for a family. You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into making sure guests feel welcome. The boys didn’t even miss their devices — they were too busy learning and soaking up the experience. Some of our highlights were watching the red kites feed, spotting deer, and seeing badgers feeding — all made even more special by Marley and Fred, who patiently and enthusiastically educated us along the way. The boys gained so much from it, and it was a joy to see them so engaged and curious. We loved it so much we even tried to stay an extra night! Truly a warm, welcoming, and unforgettable place to stay with kids — we’ll treasure the memories

Such a lovely place to stay! The house was very cosy and beautifully done, and the area around it is stunning - really peaceful and scenic. The hosts were amazing too - so friendly and quick to reply if we needed anything. We would 100% come back!

We had a very relaxing stay, whilst there was a variety of restaurants nearby and beautiful scenery we chose to stay in most of the time in the cosy loft. A great nook to binge movies and play games with friends by the fire. Lovely hosts and pictures provided of the propery are very accurate. 100% recommend for a chill weekend and 100% stay again.

We absolutely loved our short stay in this cute wee bothy, which is like a luxury cabin above Andrea and Gregor’s garage. It’s incredibly quiet and private despite being very close to their house. There’s even some decking to enjoy the Scottish sunshine!. It’s beautifully fitted out, really comfortable, cosy and warm. We stayed one night to break up a long journey south after our NC500 trip, but hung around the area the next morning to visit the Wallace Monument, a 2 minute car ride up the hill. Would happily have stayed longer to visit the area’s other attractions if we could. Thoroughly recommended.

There were plenty of great walking trails nearby, making it ideal for nature lovers or anyone looking to unwind in a quiet, scenic setting. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure everything went smoothly from check-in to check-out. Communication was clear and friendly, and we felt very well looked after throughout our stay. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a restful escape in nature with all the comforts of home.

We had a lovely stay at the farm. The accommodation was excellent, well equipped and comfortable. The whirlpool bath was a relaxing addition, especially at the end of a long walk. It was lovely to meet and chat with Karen and Colin during our stay, they are a wonderfully warm and welcoming couple.

Michael and Caroline’s B&B is just fantastic and so are these two wonderful people! If you plan on visiting the moors and the Dartmoor region look no further, this is the place to be! The cottage is even better than on the photos. We absolutely loved it!
