Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Raystown Lake

We enjoyed our 3-night stay in this beautiful farmhouse in the country. The kitchen had everything we might need. The surrounding countryside is wonderful. We hosted my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter for one night and appreciated the children’s books and toys that were available. We also liked to watch the cute donkey, friendly pigs, and the chickens and sheep. Thank you, Calvin and Jennifer, for the opportunity to stay in your home.

This is the second time we've stayed at Brooke's place. We looked for a place closer to Altoona, but nothing compares to Brooke's and Martinsburg. We love it out there. The house is exactly as described. It has all the amenities that you need. The area and people are wonderful. We also recommend Mamies for breakfast in Martinsburg.

Great place right off the highway that felt peaceful. Great for my and my kids to sleep for a night. Would recommend!

Excellent location quick ride to the trailhead! A wonderful, super clean and comfortable house with everything you need to enjoy a stay near Raystown lake. Plenty of space inside and outside around the campfire. The BBQ grill and the fully equipped kitchen were excellent and had everything needed for our stay. Nicole was very responsive provided clear instructions to make checking in and out easy.

A very nice private area set away from everything. Served well for a weekend get away for an event I attended and was so impressed I might just bring the wife and kids back. Host is nice and quick to respond and the house itself very clean and well kept. Grass was taken care of. Nothing overgrown. I didn’t find myself looking for anything I needed short of groceries. Well worth the money!

We had an amazing time at Elizabeth's cabin by the lake. There was plenty of space for my family of 4. The house was amazing! It was very clean and well taken care of. This was by far, the best AirBNB I have stayed at. It had everything you could possibly want or need when you are away from home. Awesome place!

Clean and pristine and felt right at home. It's a shame I discovered this place the weekend my son was graduating from Juniata College. Had I known this gem was there, I would have stayed here much more versus staying at the local hotels.

It was easy to find and all the instructions were clear. Cinnamon buns were a nice touch! Beds comfortable and linen great! Conveniently located close to travel paths and attractions. Would definitely stay again in the future!

I would love to stay here again! Everything was comfortable, safe, and accommodating. It’s the perfect place for a weekend up at Penn State and an easy walk to downtown State College.

This is a beautiful place right in downtown chambersburg. Top class designer furnishings and interior decor, comfortable bed and linens, downtown walkable location and tons of parking!

Very nice space. It was perfect for my wife and I when we needed a quiet place away from all the hustle and bustle for a few days to just unwind. Off the beaten path, but not so far away that you can’t still find activities or food.

Jeannie and Herb’s place was exactly what our family needed on our way to the east coast. It was quiet and peaceful, viewing the cows and chickens was a favorite of our kids. There were plenty of games and puzzles to occupy our kids and everything we needed to make a healthy meal was available in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Marie. The accommodations were comfy cozy and the property grounds are absolutely beautiful. Marie is a very gracious host and a very lovely person. She made us feel so welcome and we’re finally happy to have met her and can now call her a friend. We would highly recommend this AirBnB…..

This spotless upstairs apartment was perfect for me while visiting friends nearby: a soft bed, nice bathroom with thick towels, and full kitchen made for a great home base. Very easy drive to Huntingdon, as well! I ended up needing to reschedule my stay and was thrilled how quickly Sarah put that into action. It's always cool to see a host has put together everything you might need in a pinch like spare hygeine items, too.

I love how it makes me feel like home. Great work area and the kitchen is my favorite place. Also really convenient if you have dogs cause there is some great area to go in a long walk with your pets

The place was perfect! The creek behind was filled with trout and the location was close to surrounding fishing spots as well. Never needed to go more than 10min away from the condo. Clean and well maintained by Dan.

This was the perfect place for a quick overnight stay. It was cozy and the rainstorm added wonderful background noise! The kitchen was easy to use as well.

The wooded mountain setting is just relaxing and the stress of the world’s problems melted away during the drive up the mountain. I would strongly recommend checking in during daylight, especially if there is fog (or snow in winter). This is a ski resort and the roads are mountain ski resort roads and visibility can be sketchy in weather. Never had time to use the resort amenities but they were very close and looked very nice. On one of my puppy walks I saw a common area with a fire pit pre-stocked with wood. Wish I had time to use it. Booking was smooth and hosts were very responsive even after hours. E-locks made check in easy. Nice K-cup coffee selection was a life saver. Bathroom was good sized and spotless. Wife is a clean freak and didn’t utter a peep! A primary concern of my wife and I is sleep comfort. The mattress was more COMFORTABLE than the one at home - not the cheap mats you find at some airbnbs. Heaters looked new and took the chill off the rainy nights perfectly.

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. We had the best time! The hosts are the nicest people and went out of their way to make sure that we had a great stay! The hosts kept us posted on all of the fun activities on the mountain. We loved the fireplace in the condo. We will definitely be back! Thank you 😊

I had a wonderful stay at Rose’s cabin near Blue Knob State Park. The setting was peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature—exactly what I was hoping for. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed, from a comfortable bed to a fully stocked kitchen. It’s clear Rose put a lot of thought into the little details that make guests feel at home. Rose was an excellent host—responsive, kind, and respectful of privacy. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back and would definitely recommend this gem to anyone looking for a peaceful escape into the Pennsylvania mountains. Thank you
