Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Rainy Lake

My wife and I enjoyed our stay and John and Deb's place over President's Day Weekend 2025 when overnight lows were -20. The place was warm and cozy especially with the wood burning stove. John was very responsive and went as far as getting on the phone to walk you through the place when we first got there. The place was peaceful, with no TV, so we are able to catch up on reading and play games. We did a hike at Zippel Bay State Park which was close by and did a day trip to the Northern Most Point of the contiguous US.

Nicole and Steffan are great hosts. Very communicative! The house is very cozy and felt like home to us for several weeks.

Second time we've stayed here, and hopefully not the last. Annie is always super responsive and helpful. The home is a great "home away from home".

We had a small family reunion at David & Johnathan’s place and I’ve gotta say it was absolutely the perfect place. So much space! The photos don’t communicate how much room there is. The kids had so much fun and us adults were able to enjoy ourselves. It had everything we needed and was super accommodating. We will absolutely use this place again in the future. Thanks D & J!

We enjoyed staying here. We appreciated that there was a full size fridge and a spacious living room area that was separate from the bedroom. The place was mostly clean, but some things, especially the bathroom floor and mirror, were a bit dusty, so a cleaner bathroom would have been nice. Also, in going around to the back yard to the Airbnb private entrance, we did have to pass clothes and towels laying in the mud, which made the entrance to the Airbnb look untidy and less welcoming. Also, it is the basement of a house, so we could sometimes hear distant noises from upstairs, but nothing disruptive or distracting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and this was a great, affordable place to stay on our trip to Canada.

Perfect location for the SAX ZIM Bog. Close to the north west end, and also a quick trip to Hibbing if you need any supplies. Alan was a great host, very responsive. We stayed 2 nights, 3 days. Would stay again.

Beth’s place was a wonderful little break for us. The lake and surroundings were peaceful and beautiful and the cabin was the perfect spot for my busy family of 6! The tree swing and hammocks were a huge hit with my kids and we even braved a canoe ride with a few of them. 😂 We loved sitting out at the fire at nights and having fun s’mores. Beth was super responsive and very accommodating and had some great recommendations for fishing and local places to visit. House was very well stocked, with extras in the kitchen and bedrooms and she even had rain jackets we could use if needed! We will definitely come stay again!

The Deer Lake Apt was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed taking our boat out on the lake. The host was very accommodating and friendly. So nice to find dog friendly places to stay. Our dogs were very happy and content there.

This was my second time staying and we had a blast! Ashley was very kind and very welcoming! It was peaceful and it had everything we needed. Great for family and friend to unwinded from the city life. Would definitely recommend staying here!

How fun! This basement apartment was spacious with several sleeping quarters, full kitchen, and full bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the space gets very dark for good sleeping, and we enjoyed the common space living room/kitchen. The decor was really creative. It is a basement and we stayed on the 4th of July, so we did not experience the quiet hours, but the whole fun little town was alive and having fun that night, so no concerns. If quiet is a must, basement apartments are not the way to go and we know and are ok with that, but if you’re not, this is something to avoid. The kitchen is stocked, but only for a couple people, so bringing paper products is helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

100% recommend and if the need arrives I will be checking here first. From the beautiful property, to the incredibly nice home owners I don’t know of anything that could have made the stay better. The maintenance man was extremely helpful and hilarious could have spent much more time talking with him. (Teehee) Felt more welcomed here then any others Airbnb I’ve ever been to. Don’t hesitate this is a gem of a place.

We had a great week-long winter outing. The unit is right across from the ski resort, but quiet and peaceful with views overlooking the frozen lake. We were able to take long (snowshoe) walks with our dog on the Mesabi trail, plus the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed to make meals.

Great place! We enjoyed our stay. Loved being close to all amenities of Giants Ridge. Very spacious room and nice to have multiple bathrooms! Eldon communicated all details ahead of our stay and shared all information we needed and more!

The place was perfect. It had everything we needed and then some. Also, it is incredibly close to one of the alpine ski lofts for Giants Ridge (literally right across the street). We will definitely stay again!

We stayed in this condo for the state Nordic meet, and it was perfect. The temperatures hovered around zero, and we could watch the races that were not important from the condo. Going downstairs and stepping outside for the important races was incredibly easy. The host was very responsive and answered questions quickly.
