Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca

What a great place in the middle of the rain forest. It felt so good to be in the middle of nature, have a house with privacy, to be within walking distance of the local convenience store and local hotel to book our excursions. For just a few bucks the local tuk tuks took us in to the nearby city for some great local cuisine. Felt good to be forced to slow down and relax.

this place was as we had hoped, it was so nice having a private pool for when it got hot and humid and we didn't want to walk to the beach! having a black sand beach 5 minutes away was so beautiful as well. we really enjoyed our stay

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa in Puerto Viejo war einfach unvergesslich! Die Unterkunft liegt eingebettet im tropischen Grünen und bietet absolute Ruhe und Privatsphäre – ideal, um dem Alltag zu entfliehen und in die entspannte Atmosphäre der Karibikküste einzutauchen. Die Villa selbst war geräumig, sehr sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders beeindruckt waren wir vom Außenbereich mit Pool und Hängematten – ein perfekter Ort, um zu entspannen und die Natur zu genießen. Jeden Morgen wurden wir vom Zwitschern der Vögel und gelegentlichen Brüllaffen geweckt – ein echtes Naturerlebnis! Die Lage ist ebenfalls top: nur wenige Minuten mit dem Fahrrad oder Auto ins Zentrum von Puerto Viejo und zu wunderschönen Stränden wie Playa Cocles oder Punta Uva. Trotz der Nähe zu allem fühlt man sich hier wie in einer ruhigen Oase. Der Gastgeber war super freundlich, hilfsbereit und immer erreichbar, falls wir Fragen hatten oder Tipps brauchten. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen

Se los recomiendo, es una casa espectacular, distribuida perfectamente, amplia, con todo lo necesario! Además, la atención, comunicación y demás con carolina fue excelente.

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

What an excellent experience. If you’re looking for a jungle getaway… this is the ultimate place to go. Make sure to read their tip book when you arrive. Highly recommend bringing food or asking Jessica for a chef’s contact info. They will send somebody directly to the Airbnb to cook for you. It’s pretty important to arrive in the daylight… it was a little bit freaky to follow the path into the jungle at night. Waking up, we realized we were in paradise. We will book again. Thanks!!

We spent a lot of time trying to choose a spot for our week in Costa Rica. Our stay exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful piece of paradise. So clean and open, surrounded by a large yard full of flora and fauna. So many lovely details went into the building of this airbnb. We loved the covered porch so much. Our hosts were beyond gracious. They answered questions and helped us navigate things like bike rentals. We felt so lucky to stay at Casa Corazon. The nearby beach was a beautiful feature too. Quick bike rides into Puerto Viejo were fun. We loved exploring spaces and places on foot, on bike, or by Tuk Tuks. We are so grateful!!

We loved staying at Franks place. Its a cute get away and right at the beach and close to cocles amenities. We had a great time talking to Frank and his wife and would highly recommend this place.!

We had such a great stay here! The space is lovely and the surroundings felt so peaceful. Meg was a great host and would recommend!

Mery’s place was just as described. Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. Well worth the value and I highly recommend. Took a while to find the exact place, although the shuttle was right there. Some type of signage out front would be helpful, but she responded immediately with a picture of where I was looking for.

The most beautiful place to stay very clean feels like your in a jungle oasis, pool is lovely. Host is very friendly and welcoming

We had two beautiful days at Cristina’s place. Couldn’t pick better. Jungle atmosphere with comfortable distance from everything that you need. Great vibe and place. Thank you Cristina for the experience

Great accomandation for digital nomads! The wifi is really good. The area is super quiet and chill & has plenty full of wildlife. You have everything you need nearby. I would recommend renting a bike for an extra smooth experience but you can also easily get around on foot. 10/10 would recommend! :)

Nos encantó el alojamiento. Privado, seguro, limpio, muy hogareño! Además al ser amantes de la naturaleza estábamos felices ya que tuvimos la oportunidad de ver muchas aves! Esperamos volver pronto!

Mariana’s place was great. She provided great instructions and was available if we needed. I will be staying here the next time I am in Puerto Viejo. If you are in Puerto Viejo you should definitely stay here.

Todo fue excelente, desde la belleza del lugar hasta la seguridad. Nos gustó mucho la ubicación. Edson fue super atento, desde el principio hasta el final. Definitivamente volveremos!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft! Alles sah aus wie auf den Bildern und war total sauber und neu. Die Lage ist ebenfalls super, die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen, aber sowohl das Zentrum von Puerto Viejo als auch Cocles sind super zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt :)

El lugar es super espacioso, bonito y como sale en las fotos. Dónde me quedé no hay con que cocinar (ollas), no hay microondas, y la cocina es de gas. Pero fuera de ahí, todo bien, muy tranquilo y a playa negra se llega caminando bien poquito.

I had a perfect stay in Puerto Viejo and in Ernyk his airbnb. He helped me with extra requests which was very nice. The house is very new and beautiful, a lot of green and animals around + only 5 min bikeride to shops and restaurants. Another plus is the eco friendly elements in the house. I would recommend this place 1000% and hope to return someday.

Buen alojamiento en una zona tranquila de Puerto Viejo, a 5 minutos en coche del centro. Viajamos en familia 4 personas y nos alojamos en una de las casitas que tienen con cocina y litera. Estancia amplia y cómoda. Tal y como aparece en las fotos. Zona común acogedora y piscina muy limpia. El gerente Giacomo muy agradable y siempre estuvo atento. Muy recomendable.

Un excelente lugar para ir en pareja; a mi novia y a mi nos encantó el departamento. Nos costó un poco llegar ya que justo dónde estábamos ni ella ni yo teníamos señal de teléfono para comunicar que habíamos llegado. Pero siguiendo las indicaciones llegas perfectamente, literalmente está a unos cuantos pasos del acceso a Playa Chiquita, tiene una cocina muy bien equipada, baño completo, parqueo y duchas para cuándo vuelvas de la playa. Hay opciones cerca para comer sin embargo nos pareció que lo mejor es ir hasta Cocles o Puerto Viejo si buscan opciones. Excelente lugar y definitivamente volveremos!

Amazing stay, these apartments must be the most modern in the town! It was brand new and spotless. Great WiFi.
