Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Province of Como

Silviu’s place was lovely. It was charming and within walking distance of a Chinese super market, the lake, and a place for coffee. Silviu even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station which was extremely kind. His place is close to the train station but it is a would have felt very long with our heavy bags. He was very kind and responsive before and during the visit. There was also parking right in-front of the place for our friends who had a car. We had a great stay.

Loredana’s place is absolutely lovely, a little gem tucked away in Nesso. It was clean and tidy upon arrival and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. Loredana left plenty of helpful guides and instructions which were great to read! The Wifi was better than we’d expected based on previous reviews, we were able to send photos home to family which was nice. It’s not far from a bus stop for direct busses to Bellagio/Como, and there’s a lovely little shop around the corner which has all the essentials you could need. I’d highly recommend and we would certainly stay here again.

Thank Serenella for hosting us. The apartment was pristine, view was beautiful, basket was full of complimentary items. Anyone that needs some time to collect themselves and be away from civilizition and think things through, this is the spot! Thanks again .

We spent all of May 2025 at Mattia’s house May 1 to May 31. This experience was amazing! We explored all of Lake Como. The town of Argegno is so amazing and unique. Argegno is the ideal town to select to stay in Lake Como. It is close to everything. We even drove across to Lugano from Argegno. The people and vibe are wonderful. I went each week for a wash and blow dry at the salon. The food establishments are incredible. We would walk to the plaza every morning for our morning coffee alternating from place to place. The ferry stop is right in the town center. The house has an incredible view. The house is historical but the plumbing is spectacular! The house is comfortable. The kitchen is great. It comes with all needed items. Just bring your groceries. I’ve never seen such water pressure and hot water. My husband and I loved our month in Mattias house. We cannot wait to return!

We had a very pleasant stay at Daniele’s house in Como. He was very helpful and responsive—he sent us a video guide for the self check-in and explained everything in detail, which made the process easy and smooth. The apartment is located on the second floor, please expect a few stairs to get to the house. However, the location is convenient, with both the train station and bus stop within walking distance. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the provided breakfast and snacks. Thank you, Daniele, for hosting us—we really enjoyed our stay!

A very nice, quiet place to stay with wonderful views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Carlo is a very friendly and helpful host. The place was clean and well equipped.

We had such a great time visiting here. It was a bit of a walk to the house but very doable. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Riccardo was extremely responsive during our visit too. Menaggio was the perfect area to stay at Lake Como. All of the charm and half of the crowds. We Hope to come back again someday.

For us, Casa Berta was the perfect place to stay! We spent one day each in Bellagio and Como - and were glad to leave the crowds (late May!) behind and live in such a quiet, charming mountain village. We imagined the street to be worse from the reviews - thank God there is not much traffic up here. Nevertheless, we preferred the bus, which actually always ran reliably (except on Sundays, because it generally does not run). The Casa itself is really adorable. Everything as in the photos. Very comfortable bed and head cushion. Also the shower with good water pressure (normally I don't like shower curtains, but the shower is large enough so that the curtain, which is not made of plastic, does not stick to the body). The terrace is also great, we spent a lot of time here. It would be perfect if there was also reception on the terrace, for example, to stream music or plan the next day.

The apartment has an unbelievable view. The view out the front door will take your breath away. It's beautiful. The entire town is walkable and worth exploring. The train and ferry stations are also walking distance from the apartment, and we ended up using both for day trips to other lake cities. This is truly a magical location. We will forever remember having our morning coffee or pre-dinner wine on the lake, a mere 10 feet from our front door. Francesca and her mother were amazing, responsive, and helpful in every way. They left us a bottle of their family's wine as a welcome present. On our departure day, it was pouring rain, and they offered to drive us to the train station. So unexpected and kind. I would highly recommend this apartment and location. We'll visit again.

My wife and I stayed in Nertilia's apartment, which corresponded to what was listed on the site. Very clean apartment with attention to the smallest details. Hosts available and gave us directions and tips on Lake Como. We had a great time, we recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

Beautifully located by the lake, fantastic view. The apartment is very nicely decorated and we were particularly pleased with the open fireplace in the evening.

It’s very beautiful and clean villa and convenient location!

This is a delightful apartment right on the lakes edge. The view in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the day are to die for. The area is lovely and quiet and restful and the perfect place away from it all. If you are interested in walking, it is a very short distance to the Greenway. If you are into dining and wining the apartment is well served with restaurants and bars a very easy walking distance away. Sala Comacina itself is a quiet town, but this is part of its charm. We would certainly come back again.

The place was just as described: good location, clean and very, very spacious. We did our research before reserving Lisa's apartment, so we knew the place was walking distance to some events we had to attend that weekend. Lisa was extremely helpful, patient with us (we changed arrival time last minute) and flexible. The bathrooms were modern and clean, and so was the kitchen. Very spacious and with really high ceilings. It all went very smooth during our stay. A great asset to Airbnb.

Great house with a gorgeous view. Hard to reach with the windling roads, car an absolute must. Great outdoor areas and good bedrooms and bathrooms.

Wonderful location! Nicola was very responsive and quick to answer any questions. The home is charming and has a stunning view of the lake. The hot tub was the perfect way to end each evening!

A wonderful, spacious villa in keeping with era, with beautiful terrace and gardens. near to town and the ferryboat terminal. Roxanna was an excellent attentive host.

We had a lovely stay in Oliveta Laria. I can't say enough good things about Marzia. She communicated well from the time of reservation through check-out and beyond. The house is beautiful, magnificent view and very private. Believe what she says about the driveway!! It is very steep and windy. Smaller cars much better. We had a large van and it was intimidating. The path through the woods to the town was nice. We would definitely rent from Marzia again!!

Beautiful home and even better view of the lake and surround towns. Really what we wanted to get a relaxing yet fun experience. Would definitely come again and highly suggest for anyone looking for a great place to stay in the area.

We had an amazing time staying in this home. The place is very well equipped and the beds are very comfy. Feel right at home. The hosts provide excellent instructions and recommendations for local restaurants and bars which we enjoyed very much. Highly recommended.

It was indeed a pleasure staying at Marco's chalet, in serene surroundings. Spacious with a great garden, and the house had all it needed

Marcus and Simona are perfect AirBnB hosts. The place is gorgeous; even better than the photos, which do not do it justice. The house was immaculate, and the most comfortable bed and linens I’ve experienced in a rental. Marcus went out of his way to accommodate us with recommendations and assistance from months before we arrived and always made himself available for help. I brought my older parents with me, who had some issues with the walk to the house - it’s about 2-3 minutes downhill and through cobblestones and rough gravel to get to the house - but worth every minute once you are there. I recommend you pack as light as possible - we had 3 large suitcases and 2 huge duffel bags plus carryons because we are on a long trip, which made it extra tough to load in and out. I actually left 2 suitcases in the car and took what we needed. Aside from the challenges because of our bags and some limited mobility, their home easily ranks in my Top 3 of all places I’ve been. Will be back!
