What an incredible stay! This little farmhouse in Prince Albert was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning scenery and peaceful surroundings. The house itself was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay feel truly special. Waking up to breathtaking views, enjoying the tranquility of the countryside, and unwinding in such a charming and well-kept space was just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommended!

Oh WOW! From the start this was a special place. Julia communicated with more information way before the booking so we knew about braai-packs, meals, horse riding etc. written in a very charming PDF. The house already had milk, farm butter, marmalade, Doornkraal Chenin Blanc in the fridge, coffee (and a plunger!!) tea, rusks, plums from that day's harvest. When travelling on a roadtrip, having things like this means we could really just arrive. +50 points for this! Breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruits, brand and cheese scones that we immediately slathered with the delicious butter, quince jam and marmalade from the fridge.Doornkraal farmstall lunch (20 mins away) - most delicious roosterkoeke and dessert wine. We also did a horse ride on the beautiful farm and ended with a sunset picnic which was incredible. Each bite amazing, delicious chutney, mustard, ostrich fillet, stuf more roosterkoek and their sparkling wine. Amazing people, special place, we will be back. Huis. Baie dankie!

This is not the first time we stay at Jolette's place and every time it has been an absolute pleasure. Always a great stay on the farm, tranquil and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Great value, with outstanding amenities. The Farm House (and every other unit) comes highly recommended. We look forward to our next stay.

Do yourself a favour and book a stay at Aswater. It was the perfect rest stop on our road trip and was a beautiful place to explore. I was travelling with my children and felt safe and welcome to explore the farm.

Lovely home close to the main road and all the restaurants. Spacious rooms, the kitchen has a 6 seater table, perfect for a family coffee get together. it is a quiet setting with peaceful outlook onto an orchard . Very clean and well maintained! We stayed for 2 nights and would have liked to stay longer! Beautiful little farm with amazing views and the friendliest hosts I’ve ever met!! If you don’t mind long rocky roads and have a heart for originality and nature then this is the place to be. Definitely can recommend!!

What you may feel is missing in luxury in the old farm house is more than made up for with the luxurious peace of the space and Adri's hospitality and generosity of spirit. She is a fantastic host and will make sure you are well looked after during your stay. The house is exactly as described in the listing and has everything you need for a comfortable stay plus little extra touches from Adri and her team. Make sure to visit Adri's Plaaskind Padstal for a roosterkoek breakfast or an afternoon tea with home-baked cakes to die for (the cheese cake, carrot cake and lemon meringue were our favourites!) Adri knows the area very well and has lots of recommendations depending on what you are interested in.

Had a wonderful short stay at Brendan’s farm. The location and surroundings are simply beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat.

Wonderful stay at Insika! Gill and Mike made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived - even bringing us dry fire wood after a huge downpour. The highlight for us was the river to cool off from the heat, and the padleski's to explore. Endless hours of fun for a 5yr old and dog. The accommodation was perfect for us - clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The outdoor showers were a lovely addition to the space, and highly appreciated in the heat we experienced! From collecting eggs in the morning for breakfast, walks on the farm, activities on the river, game spotting, braiing under the stars, to cooling off in the plunge tub - we couldn't have imagined a better weekend away.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sandra’s place, wished we had booked for longer. The place was clean and well furnished, with many thoughtful supplies such as basic BBQ supplies. Even though we had some initial difficulty in getting to the accommodation due to road conditions, Sandra and her husband were quick to respond and assist. The perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and to experience off-the-grid living. Highly recommended!

We had the most amazing stay at Sunnyside Cottage! Yolande was super warm and welcoming and best of all is that we could take our doggy with us - he loved exploring the big, enclosed yard! Sitting out on the stoep watching the beautiful landscape was my favorite! We will definitely come visit again!

Greg & Sam, are amazing hosts. They let me know which dirt roads are the best for travel and kept me up to date with information about the area. As a keen hiker, I was invited to hike with them in Rooiberg Mountains and experience its pristine beauty, which is food of the soul. Thank you for the generosity of sharing veggies from your garden, and gift of staying at the Happy Place!

We loved staying at PurePlaas. It was perfectly peaceful and private. Sonja was a great host and we loved chatting with her. We also loved her 2 beautiful, friendly dogs! The space had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We could have easily spent a week or more there. We will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

We had a lovely stay celebrating a friend's birthday. One suggestion would be to equip the kitchen with a few more platters and larger serving bowls to enable cooking and serving larger groups of people. Also perhaps some lamps in the lounge to create more ambience. It was either very bright lights while eating at the dining table / sitting in the lounge or in the dark with just the kitchen lights as lighting. Other than that we had a lovely stay and highly recommend your establishment for a comfortable stay for large families.

Without a doubt great value for money. We stayed in the River tented accommodation (Number 5) and it was amazing. Cozy and warm with a beautiful bath tub and situated right on the river. So much to do for kids on the property from feeding animals, bass fishing, playground, hikes, not to mention very close to Cango caves, orstich farm and the Cango crocs. My only regret was not staying longer! Stop looking and just click pay now....Trust me. nothing better than this in the area. get a tented camp on the river or one in the mountain side....you won't be disappointed .

Stay here! Absolutely beautiful location, Elanda was SO helpful and welcoming, even after we arrived later than expected. The house has everything you need and lots of space. I would 100% come back and recommend!

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Kliphuis. We could switch off and relax from the moment we got there. The directions and self-checkin worked very well. The house had everything we needed, even an ice machine. As our host Jacques was not expecting any guests on the day of our departure, he offered that we could stay an extra night if we wanted to, and of course we did! It felt as if we were in the middle of nowhere, we did not see other people for our whole stay. Although the place is quite remote, its very safe and there is cellphone reception. The huge stoep with comfy coaches on wheels and one of them hanging, was such a highlight. We sat on the stoep almost the whole day enjoying nature, birdlife in/around the river below, and the amazing view of the starts at night. We were woken up by 4 owls on the stoep on our last morning, what a treat for birders. We were also fortunate that there was water in the river during a hot December.

Peter is an awesome and gregarious host. He is very knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics, both local and global and holds an intelligent conversation. He has a great sense of humor and is very hospitable. The place is set in a kloof with awesome hills, water and bush around and is very tranquil. It is well worth travelling the dirt road till 11km outside Calitzdorp. Great value for money

The location is so magestic, with beautiful Swartberg mountain just in front of the house. Huge property with anything you need inside. Just relax here, enjoy fresh air, peaceful surroundings, hike to the mountain, running / cycling around. Maryna, her mother in law live nearby and really helpful to help us book restaurant. Patat restaurant nearby has the best food in town, even this the best food we've been so far.
