Danie and Narina are lovely guests, very easy to communicate with, very nice and accomodating. Their place is something special, in the middle of « nowhere », horizon as far as the eye can see, you can see the sunset and the moon rising at the same time, and their place is very well equipped ! The road to arrive is quite long and the wind can wake you up while you sleep but that’s part of the trip ! We recommend

Our stay at this incredible property was nothing short of magical. Nestled on a tranquil sheep farm just 20km outside Beaufort West, this beautifully restored 1800s home is a true gem. The renovation in 2020 has preserved its historic charm while introducing all the modern comforts you could need. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with high ceilings and tasteful decor that perfectly balances the old-world character with contemporary elegance. Every detail, from the cozy furnishings to the immaculate cleanliness, made us feel completely at home. The peaceful farm setting was the perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life. Waking up to breathtaking views of the Karoo landscape and the gentle sounds of nature was a highlight of our trip. The host's hospitality was unmatched—friendly, attentive, and full of great local recommendations. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or a base for exploring the Karoo, this property is an absolute must. We can't wait to return!

Words cannot describe how special Klein Riviertjie is. I chose it as the place to propose to my partner, under the starlit skies of the Karoo, and it was perfect. The house is immaculate with all the amenities one would require; think of it is a refined "cabin". We particularly loved the donkey geyser and fireplace, and the swing couches on the porch. Quarta and her family are absolutely lovely and ensured we were well taken care of. I hope we can go back one day, as it it will forever hold a place in our hearts. We totally recommend it! Some advice for those wanting to visit, the route to get there is a long stretch of dirt roads starting near Beaufort West. Some sections are not in great condition due to recent rains in the Karoo. We managed to get there and back in a small hatchback but it was not easy, and in hindsight would have made a plan to use a car better suited to those kinds of roads. Also, there is zero cell signal once you leave Beaufort West, so do keep that in mind.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Marina and Hans’ place. The cottage is spacious and well-kitted with everything you would need. Everything has been thoughtfully considered, from the immaculate cleanliness to the stylish and comfortable interiors and the peaceful garden surroundings. Marina and Hans were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever being intrusive. Communication was easy and they were always available if needed, which made the stay feel even more relaxed. The location is ideal, private and tranquil yet close enough to explore the area. I left feeling rested and recharged and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you again Marina and Hans, an exceptional stay in every way.

This is a most peaceful and private farm cottage at the end of a very private road in a beautiful valley near Graaff-Reinet. You are in a biosphere farming environment where considerable effort is made at preserving the natural flora and fauna of the area. There is a lovely track from the farm cottage up onto the escarpment with never ending view’s across the Camdeboo. We had a most relaxing and peaceful stay there and would love to be there for longer next time. Thank you Tanya for making that special part of the world available for guests to experience.

Do yourself a favour and book a stay at Aswater. It was the perfect rest stop on our road trip and was a beautiful place to explore. I was travelling with my children and felt safe and welcome to explore the farm.
