Magical oasis in a beautiful setting. Everything is so well thought out. Beautiful interior decoration staying true to its aim of being sustainable. The bed is probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in away from home. Even the toiletries smelt amazing. The outdoor area is also spectacular. Best shower I’ve had under the stars. I would most definitely come back. Zelma also booked us in for dinner at Bread&co across the valley (2 mins away) and the food was amazing. Everything was superb and it’s been one of the most special stays I’ve had. Worth every penny!

This spot is absolutely GORGEOUS, we were completely in awe as we arrived during sunset and woke up to the first light touching the tips of the mountains, truly blown away by the beauty of this little gem of a place. The dam was extremely beautiful and refreshing to swim in even in the middle of winter! We will definitely be returning!

Jeff is a wonderful host, amazing person, the venue is more than I expected to be honest, and the people of De Rust are amazing people. The people is what made the stay valuable, anyone can build accomodation and hot tubs etc, but Noone can just build a character,and De Rust,along with Jeff, is full of it.

We enjoyed a very peaceful stay at Cango retreat with a lot of friendly animals on site and in a beautiful location.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. The views were breathtaking, offering complete peace and serenity. The hosts were incredibly helpful, ensuring our stay was smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway—highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

We stayed for 1 night in the cottage and it was lovely. Comfortable bed, spacious, good kitchen etc. The property is beautiful and peaceful and it's pet friendly. Hostage are lovely and friendly as is their lovely dog.

Very enjoyable farm stay with a very friendly and hospitable family, surrounded by beautiful nature. The house is not big but comfortable and has anything you need for a short break. Especially loved the hot tub, which the hosts kindly fired every night for me - what pleasure to relax in hot water and admire the night sky full of stars! Louis and his family are such open, friendly and hospitable people - it is a privilege to have been given an opportunity to be their guest. The farm is not far from Oudtshoorn and is easily accessible, I was given clear instructions and had no problem at all finding the place. Great stay overall.

One word to describe this place and home, ZEN! Beautiful home with a welcoming feel. Relaxing atmosphere at the pool and walking the labyrinth was so calming for the mind! We loved our stay, and Ampie our host was really wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed the restaurant “De Krans” close by. Highly recommend!

Oh WOW! From the start this was a special place. Julia communicated with more information way before the booking so we knew about braai-packs, meals, horse riding etc. written in a very charming PDF. The house already had milk, farm butter, marmalade, Doornkraal Chenin Blanc in the fridge, coffee (and a plunger!!) tea, rusks, plums from that day's harvest. When travelling on a roadtrip, having things like this means we could really just arrive. +50 points for this! Breakfast was delicious! Fresh fruits, brand and cheese scones that we immediately slathered with the delicious butter, quince jam and marmalade from the fridge.Doornkraal farmstall lunch (20 mins away) - most delicious roosterkoeke and dessert wine. We also did a horse ride on the beautiful farm and ended with a sunset picnic which was incredible. Each bite amazing, delicious chutney, mustard, ostrich fillet, stuf more roosterkoek and their sparkling wine. Amazing people, special place, we will be back. Huis. Baie dankie!

Daisy Tree Cottage is quaint and has everything you need. It is easy to find and access is easy and it is well located. It looks just like the pictures and is clean and neat, with a comfortable bed. We had a lovely stay! Thank you.

This is the most stunning place. A beautiful house, loads of space. We loved the open space in the main living area. It has everything you need. The outside space is exceptional, offering eating and seating areas with a fabulous pool. Even on the hottest days, it was cool and relaxing. The town of Oudtshoorn is friendly and has some wonderful cafes and restaurants, plus some brilliant activities just out of town (caves, wildlife ranch, hiking). Our hosts were the very best we have ever had, friendly, helpful, courteous and offered some great ideas for the area. This home is most definitely the best we have ever stayed in and we will be definitely back as often as we can! Thank you to this fabulous family!

Excellent stay! Very cool house. Had everything we needed. Frans gave us great recommendations for dinner. Pool was perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back, highly recommend!

El Dorado was a fantastic stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The secure estate added peace of mind, and the location was perfect for exploring Oudtshoorn’s attractions. We especially enjoyed the communal swimming pool for unwinding after a day out. Highly recommended!

A Superb environment surrounded by danimaix animals, choice for pools! very nice by the river!

Although brief, we had a really lovely stay at Jean-Luc and Marie-Claire's, we felt right at home in the old farmhouse and enjoyed the walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house is huge, super clean with comfy beds and a beautiful and peaceful garden. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Gert is an excellent host, very responsive and helpful! The unit feels tranquil and secluded, yet is situated enroute all the must-do attractions Oudtshoorn has to offer. Our family had a wonderful stay at Africa Inn

This was really such a cosy place to stay in. Big and comfortable, beautiful views, quiet but yet close to town. We were a group of friends and everybody loved the place

We spent 2 nights and it was amazing stay. The place was the perfect location, walkable within reach of restaurants and shops. Jude wad the perfect host, she took care of everything from restaurants reservations to recommendations for things and no ask was not too big for her to help. 100% recommend staying with Jude and Brian. Loved the plunge pool and the Braii( BbQ grill). The house and grounds are beautiful and very comfortable.

Unbelievable views! Very well appointed and equipped! Everything is of good quality and high standard! Stunning central area to socialize and braai and read, or just stare out at the beautiful Karoo mountains! Loved the plaasdam! We will def be back, a super place to recharge the soul!
