Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Playa Negra

Honestly it’s exactly what is described. Location is great close enough to the beach to get there quickly- 4x4 definitely required but worth it. I made it in my crossover but high 4x4 ideal. I got photos of a howler monkey! I saw hummingbirds, agoutis, bananas and pineapples, not ripe yet but still beautiful. No air but honestly with the fan blowing right on my I slept like a baby… until the howlers anyways… still awesome. Advice for travelers book it- do not hesitate- plan to sleep in very little with a fan and you’ll do splendid. This is a legit jungle experience and worth every moment. My favorite stay by far in Costa Rica. Take drinking water WITH you (they told me but I didn’t listen so reiterating for folks like myself😂) and enjoy!!

What a great place in the middle of the rain forest. It felt so good to be in the middle of nature, have a house with privacy, to be within walking distance of the local convenience store and local hotel to book our excursions. For just a few bucks the local tuk tuks took us in to the nearby city for some great local cuisine. Felt good to be forced to slow down and relax.

I recommend it, it's a spectacular house, perfectly laid out, spacious, with everything you need! In addition, the service, communication and everything else with Carolina was excellent.

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

The home was beautiful and looked just like the photos! Please keep in mind this is an open concept home. So understandably nature will join you if you are sitting in the outdoor common area. We very much enjoyed evenings playing in the pool. The kitchen was stocked with all the needed utensils to cook meals. AC worked great in all the bedrooms. Area felt super safe with 2 gates to get into the home. Can’t wait to come back! Host was prompt and responded to any questions we had.

If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica, this is hands down your best bet. It’s way better than a hotel, hostel, or even a typical Airbnb. This was my first time out of the country, and since it was also our honeymoon, I was nervous about planning everything. But from the start, David was incredibly communicative and thorough. When we arrived, he was so helpful and welcoming. He gave us tons of great recommendation places to eat, things to do and even offered to take us kayaking on a nearby river. When we told him about our love for coffee, he gave us a mason jar full of his own homemade coffee! Every time we came back to the Airbnb, he checked in with us to see how our day went and chatted with us about all our tourist adventures. The AC in the place works great, so no worries there! He also told us about the local weekly market, where he sells his coffee, we enjoyed more of his amazing coffee, and ended up buying six bags to take home. -Pura Vida!

We had such a great stay here! The space is lovely and the surroundings felt so peaceful. Meg was a great host and would recommend!

Mery’s place was just as described. Very comfortable, cozy and quaint. Well worth the value and I highly recommend. Took a while to find the exact place, although the shuttle was right there. Some type of signage out front would be helpful, but she responded immediately with a picture of where I was looking for.

We had two beautiful days at Cristina’s place. Couldn’t pick better. Jungle atmosphere with comfortable distance from everything that you need. Great vibe and place. Thank you Cristina for the experience

Great accomandation for digital nomads! The wifi is really good. The area is super quiet and chill & has plenty full of wildlife. You have everything you need nearby. I would recommend renting a bike for an extra smooth experience but you can also easily get around on foot. 10/10 would recommend! :)

We loved the space. Private, safe, clean, very homely! Besides being nature lovers, we were happy since we had the opportunity to see many birds! We hope to be back soon!

Absolutely beautiful place right next to the beach super clean. I highly recommend this for anybody there’s a market next-door and the beach is right there. The host could not be more welcoming. Mariana’s place was great. She provided great instructions and was available if we needed. I will be staying here the next time I am in Puerto Viejo. If you are in Puerto Viejo you should definitely stay here.

Truly was the most magical stay. The most perfect location, can walk or ride bike to local beach and restaurants. The place was extremely quiet and clean. the family underneath were so friendly and gave us great recommendations for things to do. And had the cutest dogs and cat. Our stay was too short and wish we could have stayed longer! This place is paradise i cannot recommend this stay enough!!

The stay was amazing. The place was beautiful, everything Sofi described was accurate and she was super helpful, friendly and very responsive. Really recommended!

The place is super spacious, cute, and how it looks in the pictures. Where I stayed there is no cooking (pots), there is no microwave, and the kitchen is gas. But out of there, everything is fine, very quiet and you can walk to the black beach.

I had a perfect stay in Puerto Viejo and in Ernyk his airbnb. He helped me with extra requests which was very nice. The house is very new and beautiful, a lot of green and animals around + only 5 min bikeride to shops and restaurants. Another plus is the eco friendly elements in the house. I would recommend this place 1000% and hope to return someday.

Good accommodation in a quiet area of Puerto Viejo, 5 minutes by car from downtown. We traveled as a family of 4 and stayed in one of the houses that have a kitchen and bunk bed. Spacious and comfy stay. As it appears in the photos. Cozy common area and very clean pool. The manager Giacomo was very nice and was always attentive. Highly recommended.

Cinzia's place was very good. Value for money is fair. Great cleanliness and location. It's close to restaurants, supermarkets and just 5 minutes from the beach on foot. The kitchen utensils needed to prepare meals without a problem. Adriana was an excellent host, very attentive and responds very quickly. The property's garden is beautiful and the space to store the car is on the premises. I definitely recommend Cinzia's place.

Amazing stay, these apartments must be the most modern in the town! It was brand new and spotless. Great WiFi.
