16th-century farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany

NicholasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Patricia's beautiful property which is a lovely old farmhouse, set in a peaceful countryside location but which is walkable to a town with shops, bars and a restaurant. The property has plenty of space and is filled with character. There was pleasant outside seating, a bbq with additional seating area, pool, gardens and off road parking. Patrizia was very helpful and kind and always on hand/email to answer any questions. The property was good value and we would be very happy to return to the property again.

Private villa/swimming pool in Tuscany

MārcisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Everything was absolutely perfect! ⭐ Location: Ideal base for exploring Tuscany — you’re right in the heart of it all. Whether you’re heading to Florence, Pisa, or the charming hill towns, everything is within easy reach. House: Well-equipped and comfortable, with all the listed amenities in perfect working order. After long days of sightseeing, the pool was a refreshing retreat. The panoramic view over the valley is truly breathtaking. Host: Lorenzo is an outstanding host — friendly, responsive, and fluent in English. He was proactive and helpful throughout our stay. The house includes a detailed guidebook he created with handpicked recommendations for local shops, markets, restaurants, farms, and sights. It made planning our days effortless. Bottom line: If this listing is available — don’t hesitate. Book it. 10/10 would recommend!

Casa Al Poggio & Chianti view

KathyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Hands down our favorite part of our two weeks in Italy! Casa Al Poggio was our Tuscan home away from home. We went and did all the things
Florence, Cinque Terre, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, etc. But coming “home” to this place was the best. So peaceful and picturesque looking across the valley at the Badia Di Passignano. We cooked many meals in the well stocked kitchen and my husband loved the rustic BBQ. Fresh herbs in the garden and the smell of jasmine blooming on the patio. Book yourself extra time here
you won’t want to leave! Emanuele & Tamara are the kindest people. Take them up on all of their restaurant recommendations. Everyone one was a hit! We can’t wait to go back.

Nada Home

GuillermoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The main thing is Nada' s attention to every communication you sent, she responds the same day. Anything you asks for within reason, you get from Nada. It was a new experience for us in Tuscany but her property is combiniently located within 40 minutes to an hour and 30 from all the Tuscany turistic places.

Paluffo Stillo House

LisaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Il Paluffo was a beautiful place in the Tuscan hills. Stilla, our accommodation, was relaxing and provided most everything we needed. The views were amazing and the staff friendly. The highlight of our stay was the cooking class with Monica. She was a burst of energy and patient as she guided us through a 4-course meal. It was absolutely delicious and plentiful. I would stay a Il Paluffo again and recommend to anyone.

house downstream of the source

AngelaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We are delighted with this vacation at Vanda's, where the location of the accommodation allows easy access to many sites to visit in the area. The house is quiet and well equipped. The garden offers a green and shaded relaxation area. Vanda is an extremely friendly and discreet host who takes care of her visitors and who succeeds, despite language difficulties, in establishing a caring atmosphere. We were privileged to have met him and we will treasure our time.

We only got one night here but everything was perfect. Comfortable, clean, very nicely renovated, couldn’t have asked for a better night. Filipo was extremely friendly and kind when checking in. We were able to leave our luggage hours before check in and he made it all so easy for us. We had one very minor issue that Filipo went above and beyond to remedy. My husband, 2 adult sons and I highly recommend Francesco’s place.

Chianti, Country house with pool

ƁukaszRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We spent the whole week in this house. We look forward to welcoming you to your stay. Claudio was helpful and explained all the issues related to the accommodation. The host was waiting in the village next door. It was important because the access road is specific. In general, I recommend a car with a high and good suspension, possibly 4x4. There are quite a few ruts and potholes (they were being repaired during our holiday) and it is certainly a challenge for ordinary cars or SUVs. The road is gravel. We liked it and had fun driving our off-road car. As for the house, it is a beautiful, old and atmospheric property. The style can be seen outside and inside. Great pool. Beautiful views and surroundings. The quintessence of Tuscany. A good base for excursions. I wouldn't change anything there. The equipment is complete. Cleanliness also without reservations. Overall, it's great!

We had a wonderful week at Mirko and Marino’s peaceful mountain home. The apartment was spotless, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the pool—with its stunning view—was a real highlight. Mirko was an exceptional host: warm, welcoming and full of great local tips. He even arranged us a beach club reservation. We left completely recharged and would love to return. Highly recommended!

Quite old farmhouse on the hills of Florence

GregRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was just what I was looking for. A Tuscan villa in the hills with a rustic style outside but excellent on inside. There was more space than expected: 3 queen size rooms and one twin, with 3 bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs. The library in the living space looks great (although you have to read Italian). Modern kitchen and great facilities. One minor challenge is the 3.7k drive off the main road to get to the property a you get used to it! Loved listening to the Cuckoos and other birds from the veranda Tommaso was an excellent and helpful host.

Luxury Villa in the very heart of Chianti

MelissaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Wow-10 days spent at Alec's villa and could have stayed longer! The age and beauty of this place makes you feel transported back in time. From the stone walls, the detailed wall paintings, furniture and decor, to the solid doors easily hundreds of years old... We spent hours just speaking of it's history. The house is clean, spacious, and had plenty of room for our family of 8. It is situated on a small family vineyard at the top of an incredibly windey road. There outdoor space was safe/secluded for my kids. The hill made for wonderful beautiful views and sunrise. However, as with much of Tuscany, we were glad our rental cars weren't too big! The closest town is 5 minutes away and has a few restaurants... Though not somewhere you can have coffee or walk the streets. About 15 minutes away is San Casciano where you can find coffee shops, restaurants, stores etc. Alec is a perfect host... helpful, responsive, and answered dozens of questions weekly. Book dinner at A Casa Mia for sure!

GUIDI POWER

TerryRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Giuliani is a wonderful host who made us feel as if this slice of paradise was our home, too. The location, the meticulously restored home, the views all make for the ultimate Tuscan experience. But Giuliani and her husband bring it all together with their warmth and attentiveness. It was a tough place to say goodbye to — for now. If you are looking for a Tuscan experience, this is it. And remember to ask for the hosts’ home-cooked meal. It is a culinary experience in the very best sense.

Luxury Tuscany Villa on the hill with private pool

JanetRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This villa was something out of a dream. Stefania was so lovely and wonderful with recommendations and booking us a rez at a fantastic local gem of a restaurant. The views were incredible and the atmosphere was so relaxing. The villa itself was cozy and inviting. The outside seating area was well used by us for nightcaps, dinner and conversations about falling in love with Tuscany and all it's amazing nooks and crannies. We wanted a picturesque and home-like central base for our 10 day adventure in Italy and we're delighted with the accommodations that really was like something out of a movie. Lucca was only a short drive away and offered the best grocery store-Esselunga! Thank you Stefania for your warm generosity, kindness and suggestions. This was a birthday trip that we will never forget and cemented our longing to return soon!

La Macina Farmhouse And Olive Oil Estate

StevenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We stayed at La Macina Farmhouse for ten nights in October 2024. The photos do not not truly capture how special this 16th century villa is, it is magical. There were days we did not leave the villa as it had everything we could want or need and was such a nice retreat from the cities we visited in the surrounding region. It is perfectly located in the hills above Lucca, day trips to Firenze, Sienna, Pisa, Carrara, Forte di Marmi and Parma are easy to drive to for daily adventures. The restaurants in the surrounding hills were incredible with great menus at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this property and Lucca Apartments & Villas for their exceptional service.

Borgometato – Magione

JohnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Nestled in the mountainside is the Tuscan stay of your dreams. In a villa designed by a renowned architect, you are surrounded by not only incredible views of mountains, valleys and the sea, but also have stunning accommodations. Every detail has been thought of in this home from comfortable living spaces, to luxe fireplaces and high quality beds. We highly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous villa. One of the best parts of the time we spent here, though, was our wonderful host, Letitzia. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly helpful and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic when one of our guests was ill, bringing meals to her while the other guests were out. Additionally, we can't recommend enough joining the dinner sessions they offer for guests throughout the week. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was exactly what you would want from a home cooked meal in Tuscany.

Our Villa in Montespertoli was everything we could have wished for and more, full of all the modern conveniences required to cook if desired. The grounds were absolutely delightful and the hillside backdrop of grapevines etc was stunning to wake up to every morning in a secluded and peaceful place. We enjoyed many mornings having coffee around the poolside deck and afternoons sharing a glass of wine chatting with our friends after our many touring adventures. You definitely need to have a car to enjoy this Villa and surrounding areas like Pisa, Siena, hot Springs, San Gimignano to name a few. Our Caretaker Lia cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner to share on our last night which we enjoyed immensely. Thankyou for hosting us in your home, we didn’t want to leave.
