We spent a truly memorable fortnight in this most magical of settings – our best Airbnb experience to date! The cottage is gorgeous inside and out. Inside, the accommodation is spacious, incredibly comfortable and finished to a high standard with taste and thought. Outside, the garden is lovely and completely private, with gorgeous views (securely fenced all round so doggies are safe). The cottage is situated in a setting that is tranquil, steeped in nature, but not at all isolated. We could walk the short distance to the local hamlet of St Estephe where there is a fantastic bakery and lovely little café/bar. There is a large supermarket a short drive away in Nontron (which also has a fantastic gym with very reasonable day rates). Most of all, we enjoyed a level of hospitality that is second to none - Angus is the perfect host, personable, approachable and unfailingly helpful (and Bella is the most adorable and friendly doggy). The perfect holiday!

Beautiful Coach House in the grounds of La Manoir

Our stay at the coach house was a real treat. The house was in a beautiful rural location - lovely and peaceful - and the garden was a real bonus for us (we had 2 small children with us) as it was secure and not overlooked. Debs was a thoughtful and helpful host - any questions of issues we had were dealt with quickly and without any hassle. We were all sad to leave - which is the sure sign of a great holiday. Highly recommended, especially if you’re travelling with kids.

The Signals - Lovely character cottage - sleeps 4

This was the perfect holiday for our family. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. The grounds are incredible. Kate and Julian work hard to keep the extensive gardens immaculate. The inclusion of extra touches like garden games and sports equipment makes it the perfect family holiday for those with young children. It felt really safe and the children loved their time playing with new friends. The pool was also great fun - especially on really hot days. The local village has everything you could wish for in walking distance. Kate provided superb recommendations of what to do locally and we enjoyed every day of our stay -swimming in the lake, canoeing, seeing prehistoric cave paintings, visiting numerous beautiful villages and enjoying French markets. Highly recommend the Le Moulin Du Grand Etang for a really special meal. Kate and Julian were perfect hosts and so responsive before and during our stay. Highly recommend.

Our stay with Kevin was perfect. The house is practical, beautiful and well maintained. Everything is available. The coffee machine is really great! We enjoyed the tranquility, the garden, the birds and the green surroundings. Pizzeria, weekly markets and supermarket are nearby. Limoges and Oradour are 2 excursions that are recommended. We stayed with a family of 4. The room with work table was ideal for our student. Kevin is very friendly as a host and responds quickly. All information is clear and easy available. In short: recommended!
