Farmstay vacation rentals in Perugia

We loved our stay in Sara's rustic farmhouse cottage with its glorious views across the valley, little hill towns on the other side and a beautiful scenic drive across to Orvieto on one side (about 1 hour) and Todi on the other. The pool was heavenly. We only had swimming weather for the first week but we were in every day. When the mornings were cold, I also enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning sun, reading and drinking my coffee. The garden is also beautiful and very quiet. It was so peaceful here - and what a dream to have the pool to ourselves. Sara lives in the other half of the house with Simone, her partner, and Eugene, the dog - but we never saw them (they have their own entrance) except when they were cleaning the pool. The house is full of art and ceramics, some of which are Sara's own, and we even had lunch in Todi at Simone's restaurant. Yes, the road is rough, but so are all roads in Umbria. We have a mini and the road was not a problem.

Karin was the best host! Not only took she care of the arrival of friends of mine who came in the middle of the night on a sunday but she also helped us to organize a vet when my dog got sick. She always reacted immediately when I texted her, gave us good recommendations about restaurants (in the area as well as in Perugia) and organized an amazing cooking class for us. We really felt like we were at home and the athmosphere at the house, the beautiful park and pool area was so relaxing. As soon as one enters this house it feels like you are in another world and you can just forget your everyday life. Thank you so much for everything Karin, we will be back!!

I loved my stay, basically everything about it. The place is like from a fairytale: beautiful apartment and the yard. Jacopo and his father were very helpful and picked me up from the train station since I arrived there by train and did not have a car. I fully recommend this accommodation!

Wow, what a beautiful apartment this was. Nestled in the countryside by the Tuscany/Umbria border is this gorgeous farmhouse owned by Simona and Yens and what a find it was! The rolling hills are captivating and if you want to switch off, enjoy visiting beautiful villages, eat lovely food and really rest, this is the place to do it. We were welcomed by their two friendly dogs and received lots of tips about the local area from Yens on arrival. The apartment is spacious and serene. From spending evenings on the patio eating al fresco, watching the stars or having morning swims, we had a wonderful time and would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone and everyone seeking some peace and quiet. The farmhouse is remote but it's very easy to get anywhere by car and the drives are never dull with the countryside views. It's hard to put into words how relaxing this place is and so I suggest you book and find out, you won't regret it! Thank you so much Simona and Yens!

What a great experience and stay all around! Everyone who was on site was so amazing and attentive. Really appreciate the warm hospitality and quick responses. We also did the lunch making class, wine tour and dinner on site and that was a great experience to top it all off! Apartment overall was spacious and as expected. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was an added bonus. Thank you for the great experience ☺️

Stefania was super nice to wait for us despite we were later for 3 hours. Her house was very beautiful and lots of space for 10 of us. Everyone can have their own space on the balcony or terrace. Can have BBQ too. House was very well equipped with everything that we expected. Had a wonderful time. Thank you.

I cannot say enough about our trip to Martino’s villa. What a lovely villa in the cute town of San Casciano dei Bagni. We had a great family vacation, enjoying some of the smaller towns and a visit to Montepulciano . We enjoyed Eleanor’s cooking for us two nights- what an amazing chef! Martino was very responsive and helpful when we needed something. I hope we can return one day!

Great house, stayed here for four days. We don't have a car, so we can only choose a place with convenient transportation.It's closer to the train station and has a beautiful view. It's the best place for us! The host was very friendly and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Friends without a car can book a day tour, or rent an e-bike/electric car to get around. The room on the second floor has a great view. You can see the beautiful Tuscan countryside when you open the window. The natural scenery is accompanied by birdsong. The whole person is quieted, it's really cozy. There is a kitchen, you can buy cooking supplies at the nearby supermarket and cook your own meals (30 minutes walk). The room is clean and tidy, the bed is moderately soft, everything is very satisfactory.The only regret is that the pool doesn't open until May. I hope I can come back next time!

Country slow living at its best combined with outstanding hospitality. Our vacation started right after we entered the apartment which was exactly as described and cleaned to perfection. We immediately got recommendations on possible activities in the region and were actively supported during support with any request we had. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some relaxation in a peaceful environment.

We had wonderful stay at Casale Zeno. The pristine environment is exactly what we needed and the beautiful sceneries surrounding the property were divine. Jo and Tony are very friendly hosts and it was pleasure staying at their place. We really appreciate all the small details provided in the accommodation along with the super comfortable mattress and pillows. The house is a perfect base for exploring Orvieto and the fantastic region around it. We would happily come back and recommend it. Thank you for a magical stay!

Caroline's villa was absolutely stunning. We visited as a family of 8 adults and it was even more beautiful in person. It's completely private with amazing views all around. It's also in a great location to visit other picturesque villages nearby with a car. The pool was a great addition to combat the Tuscan heat. As this is in the countryside, be aware that there will be insects and wildlife. We came across a snake and a scorpion, but that's not an issue with the house, but rather the natural environment. The property manager Bianca greeted us upon arrival. She was super friendly and helpful with tips. And Caroline left us super detailed recommendations for restaurants, itineraries, and wineries. She was always available and friendly. We had an amazing time and would definitely visit again!

We had the absolute pleasure of spending three unforgettable days at Paolo and Monica’s 800-year-old farmhouse — and it was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The home itself is stunning: full of history, character, and comfort, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Each morning, Paolo and Monica prepared a beautiful, fresh breakfast spread complete with homemade cakes and warm, delicious options that started our days off with so much care and joy. The hospitality was truly beyond compare — Paolo and Monica are salt-of-the-earth people with hearts of gold. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting with the many animals they lovingly care for. From eagles and owls to donkeys, horses, peacocks, ducks, and sheep — it felt like something out of a storybook. Monica’s passion for rescuing and training animals is inspiring, and added such a special, personal touch to the experience. Thier home is filled with beauty, warmth, and heart. We felt very comfortable in our apartment. The location of the Agriturismo is very good. Not far from many interesting cities, but quiet. We were the only guests during our stay and unfortunately there was no breakfast or restaurant. So we took care of ourselves and ate very well in restaurants in the area.

This place is even more beautiful than the photos show! We are travelling round Italy for our honeymoon and this has been our highlight. From the amazing grounds to the incredible food at the little restaurant it’s all been perfect. Thank you Marian for excellent communication and being so accommodating. Fantastic place and fantastic hosts. We spent a month here with our baby and it could not have been better. Pietro and Christina are friendly, helpful and warm. Strongly recommend to those who are looking for a peaceful and charming place in the middle of Umbria

Great accommodation in a stunning area

Wow! What an incredible property. We loved our time staying at ‘the tower’. It is a beautiful setting among the olives and vines on a hilltop. The surrounding area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to local vineyards and restaurants. Only one caveat: the WiFi is very weak and not suitable for video calls.

This was the finest AirBNB home that we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, the views were incredible (private and among vineyards, you can see for miles), every appliance and fixture seemed new. Everything was anticipated to make the stay perfect.....a refrigerator, bathroom and shower at the beautiful pool, pool towels in each bedroom, etc. As soon as you walk into this house, you are going to go "wow", and for good reason. Francesca came and cooked us a delicious local dinner and did some light grocery shopping for us.....all for an unreasonably LOW fee. We had another chef team come in on another night. We also visited a local winery where we had a fantastic, private wine tasting tour and lunch (Tenuta Vitalonga) and followed that up with touring Orvieto and having dinner at a very unique restaurant (Le Grotte del Funaro). Make sure you have a car or are using a bus/limo service for your transportation, nothing is walkable from this beautiful private house.

I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how clean and well-maintained the place was. The interior was beautifully preserved, with every detail reflecting the character and charm and coziness of the region, while the exterior was equally delightful, surrounded by scenic views of the olive farm. The highlight of my stay, however is the animals.The three dogs were the perfect companions; they were so friendly and loving that it felt like they were my own. The resident cat added an extra layer of warmth to the experience, making the entire stay feel truly special. The surroundings of the olive farm provided a peaceful atmosphere that was perfect for relaxation. I spent my days soaking in the beauty of the landscape.

We had 2 fantastic weeks at the place! The house is beautiful and lovingly furnished, so we felt at home. There are many cozy corners in the living area where you can relax, read or eat and talk together. The bedrooms are also very nicely designed retreats where we slept very well. A highlight is also the kitchen, which is really perfectly equipped. We cooked almost every day and found everything we needed. Around the house, there are many different places in the garden where tables and deck chairs are set up to stay there alone or together - not to mention the great pool to cool off. Annalisa and her husband Ulli are super friendly, helpful and the perfect hosts! They gave us many useful tips to explore the surrounding area and Annalisa even organized olive oil from the region. The host Leo was lovely and very welcoming. He was very professional and efficient in all our correspondence and would provide me with recommendations for restaurants, locations to visit and tours. More importantly though he assisted with the planning of our two weeks. The wine tasting experience with Tomas was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and hospitable and our family loved the wines but also the Special Family Dinner. The food and experience was amazing and one of the highlights of the trip. The villa is ideal for a family or group of ten people. It is on the vineyard, up a windy road, but was worth it for the outlook over Arezzo, day and night. It was a holiday we will treasure. We realised how lucky we were to manage to get together as a family and have a true Tuscan experience. Thank you to Leo and Tomas , and the others at the Villa, who made our time truly memorable.
