Cottage in rural riverside setting close to Oxford

JeffRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Overall it was an amazing stay. the cottage is small, but cozy and perfect for 2 people. it has some quirks, but that is what you would expect with a small and old cottage. There are no electrical outlets in the bathroom and the shower is small so as a 6'1 man, it was difficult but doable to use the shower. The grounds were peaceful and relaxing. Overall, the cottage was as expected and it was a great home base for access to Oxford and the Cotswolds!

Beautiful Victorian Home near central Oxford

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Charlie’s house was absolutely fantastic for our group of 7 ladies to stay for a hen party. It was spotlessly clean and less than 10 mins into Central Oxford. Charlie was extremely helpful to me when planning this weekend, giving practical recommendations. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. 4 good sized double bedrooms and very well equipped.

Deluxe Coach House at Bretforton Manor with pool

AmandaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Had a wonderful long weekend at Bretforton Manor. Lucy was the perfect host and made us feel very welcome. Everything in the Coach House was spotless and well equipped and we loved having the use of the swimming pool and gardens which were beautiful. Our visit coincided with Bretforton open gardens weekend which was hosted in the Manor garden so we also got to see other gardens in the village as well as entertainment and delicious refreshments on our doorstep. The Fleece Inn pub is a 5 minute walk and we recommend the food there too. Perfect location for exploring the area with Hidcote Gardens and Kiftsgate a short drive away. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you so much Lucy Rob and Aslan x

No1 Woodstock

JessicaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We were a group of 5 friends celebrating 40th birthdays and we had a fantastic 2 night stay. The bedrooms are huge and the space was spotlessly clean. The living spaces are also a good size, though I’d say the kitchen / dining space is slightly on the small side considering the size of the rest of the space. There was a very generous hamper on arrival which we all appreciated. Woodstock is a stunning village with some fab shops to explore. We also had a wander around Blenheim Palace using the ‘secret gate’ which is a 4 minute walk from the property, so didn’t have to pay for entry! (Check out freeblenheim. com!) I also strongly recommend Worton Kitchen Garden for lunch / dinner / a general wander around - it is utterly beautiful and the food was excellent. Great food at The Back Lane Tavern a few minutes’ walk too. All in all a really wonderful weekend away, thank you!

Stable Cottage on beautiful farm

RoyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The cottage is located in a totally peaceful position adjoining the farmhouse at the end of a long track and right in the middle of the countryside. Pure heaven! We were greeted by a friendly little dog who followed us into the cottage and made himself at home on the sofa! The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities needed to make it a comfortable stay. We would stay here again without any hesitation and it comes highly recommended. Thank you Pauline!

Idyllic & Perfectly Located 18th Century Cottage

RachaelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We were thrilled to be welcomed into Caroline's gorgeous cottage. It had everything we could need plus more and exceeded our expectations compared to the photos. Caroline couldnt be more helpful and was a delight to meet. Thoughtful touches throughout the house made it such a special stay - including a fresh-baked loaf of bread, butter, home made marmalade and a delicious jam and cream sponge cake. Plus we had the joy of seeing the wysteria starting to bloom. Charming in every way. We would definitely stay again given the chance.

Cosy 2 bedroom cottage in West Hanney village

GillianRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a great stay here and everything was perfect. We managed to try the only local pub and the food and beer was excellent and value for money. The Indian restaurant was better than and from my local area in Stockport. The location is great for Oxford and we did a day trip to the Diddly Squat Farm. Tracey is a great host and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at Honeysuckle; a very cosy cabin in a serene location. There are lots of local walks to enjoy and cafes to visit. Great communication from the host and you truly feel tucked away from it all. This was our second visit and we loved it as much as we did the first time. We will definitely be back again!

Boutique couples hideaway – "The Den"

PhilippaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Den! Ali went above and beyond - not only accommodating our very last minute request to stay, but she also made us feel so welcome with extra personal touches for us. A beautiful spot, and we did both recommended walks in the area which were perfect for us. The Den itself is cosy, peaceful, and has absolutely everything you could need! Truly magical! Thank you so much Ali.

We had a fantastic time at Jasmine Cottage, it was characterful and cosy with everything we needed for our stay. The garden was a real bonus and meant our daughter could play freely while we had a glass of wine in the sun. Location couldn’t be better, a 5min stroll from the centre of Bourton, perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Steve's charming barn, and it was nothing short of a perfect experience. From the moment I inquired about the booking, Steve was incredibly quick to respond, ensuring everything was set for our visit. The barn itself is a gem, nestled in beautifully peaceful surroundings, which provided a serene escape from the bustle of everyday life. It was an ideal location for my visit to Oxford, offering both convenience and tranquility. I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to explore Oxford while enjoying a restful retreat in the countryside. Thank you, Steve, for being a fantastic host.

A Perfect Cotswold Getaway in Peaceful location

LewisRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My partner and I stayed here for two nights in late May and we had a wonderful experience. Maudie the host was very friendly and helpful from the beginning all the way through to the end of our stay. The barn is just how it looks in the pictures, beautiful, spacious but also cosy at the same time. There’s plenty of entertainment such as board games, TV/Netflix, music speakers to keep you entertained on a rainy day. It’s a short 15-20min drive to the nearest big town which is Stow-on-the-Wold, which is easy enough to do since I’d imagine most guests will have a car. We were also provided with plenty of recommendations from Maudie, for things to do in the local and surrounding areas. Overall this place is brilliant! I would absolutely go back again if I have the chance.

The Cotswolds, Churchview Barn, Todenham.

KateRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Verity's place is as beautiful as the pictures. She kindly provided some lovely brekkie items on arrival. Walks right from the doorstep. In easy distance from Moreton-in-Marsh, only 10 mins drive, and located within easy reach of lots of other Cotswold locations to explore. The garden is absolutely stunning, which we thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the sun in. Imagine it would be just as nice to snuggle up by the log burner in the colder months too Verity provided lots of lovely foody suggestions, all of which were great too. Very sweet to leave Bertie a toy on arrival, we always appreciate a doggy friendly stay.
