Cottage vacation rentals in Oxford

A really enjoyable stay at The Little Cottage, amazingly secluded if you want to go off grid. Hot tub is a brilliant and very welcome addition, we sat and read all of the wonderful books with red wine and smooth soul music which is highly recommended! Great location for lots of walks in the Wiltshire countryside; Ludgershall Castle is worth checking out for the history and we had a fantastic meal and drinks at The Shears Inn which is a Brakspear Brewery pub, just a short 20 mins walk from the cottage. Thank you to Lorraine and Barry who were excellent hosts throughout our stay 😃

We stayed at Paul’s lovely property for the second time as we loved it so much the first time round. Our recent stay was made even better by the addition of a hot tub , the ping pong table and loads of board games and activities. The bedrooms were clean and comfy like before and we loved the living and dining space. Our 3 kids had an amazing time running around in the garden and going for little walks around the grounds. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and we loved having freshly popped popcorn for our movie evenings at the house! The property is close to Millets Farm Centre which was great for the kids as there’s always a lot to do there!

We had such a lovely stay, everything was just as described and even better in person. The hot tub was spotless and perfect for relaxing, and the space felt really private and peaceful. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made everything really easy. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and clear instructions. We genuinely left feeling refreshed and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommend!

Gemma and her cottage were both so incredibly lovely. Gemma is so kind and was communicative and easy to contact. Her cottage was the perfect location and a great house. The only bit of trouble was the hot tub, which is quite difficult to navigate.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It is truly beautiful and in a stunning location. The hosts were really helpful and responsive and responded very promptly to an issue regarding toilet paper and provided this within 5 minutes of us contacting them about this. Definitely would stay again

Had an amazing valentines stay here with my partner. Clare was the perfect host and the barn was the perfect property for our stay. Very quaint, peaceful and secluded. With lovely views over the farmland and a short drive from some beautiful towns

Wow - Beautiful and tranquil place to stay with absolutely stunning gardens. Perfect place to stay to purely relax with the enjoyment of a private hot tub to use throughout , firepit and loungers in the gardens to use. Our dog loved this place and had so much to explore , the house supplies dog treats / and a dog bed , all the little touches were all noticed to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Keith / Jean were very communicative, and helpful during check in. The beds were very comfortable, each room pristine and decorated to a high standard , even provide slip on shoes and gowns to access the hot tub which was really handy! the continental breakfast supplied was lovely . We would love to come back and stay again , would recommend to anyone it is pure bliss, inside and outside , thank you!

Catherine’s place was amazing, right in the heart of Stow on the Wold yet relaxing and peaceful once you open the door. Perfect location and size for our family of 4. Catherine is a fantastic host, had everything we needed and plenty of nice touches to make it special. Would definitely come back! One note - bedrooms are up a narrow set of stairs, not a problem for us but make sure you are fit to carry suitcases up the stairs.

Valerie’s cottage is very peaceful and is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Cotswolds. The Old House Barn is very clean and had all the amenities you will need. Valerie provided us great recommendations for places to visit and some great restaurants. She is also quick to respond to any messages. I definitely give her and The Old House Barn 5 stars! We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future!

Amazing house in the Cotswolds. Close to Stow on the Wold but far enough away that it was peaceful. Homely feel once you are inside. Leonie was very helpful from the moment we booked until the moment we left. Would highly recommend a visit if you are going to the local area.

We stayed as a family of four and throughly enjoyed our stay. (Two adults and two 19 year olds.) A charming homely cottage, well situated which perfectly suited our needs. Bursting with character in every room. Hosts were exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Locals were all exceptionally friendly and taxi drivers were too. The only blip was three of our family are over six feet tall and it soon became a game as to how many times heads were hit on door frames or whilst climbing the stairs! This is not a cottage for tall people! This didn’t impact our stay in any way though as we all loved the cottage. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The Granary is a lovely thatched cottage tucked away in a peaceful spot on a no through lane in the old part of the village. The property ticked all my boxes for a peaceful and comfortable stay when visiting family living close by. The gated driveway parking directly adjacent to the property makes easy work of unloading/loading on arrival/departure. There are lovely mature garden surrounds to the property offering a good degree of privacy, although not fully enclosed if you have young children or pets. With two dogs in tow it was an added bonus to have lovely countryside walks directly from the door over the adjacent Edgecote Estate. Michael the host’s communication and directions for accessing the property were excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommend.

Had such a wonderful last minute getaway with my daughter and our pug! Such a beautiful place to stay with stunning views. We will be back!

Beautiful, historic cottage in a great location. Had a very comfortable 3 night stay with everything we needed. Was a perfect location to visit many pretty villages nearby & lots of great dog walks for our dog. Jody was very communicative throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely stay! The place was very clean and comfortable. Angela was a wonderful host—she even invited the kids to help groom the ponies and collect fresh eggs. Such a special touch!

What an amazing place to stay!! Can not recommend enough. Julie welcomed us to our beautiful cottage with access to large garden, outside seating and even a cow field just over the hedge :) The house was immaculate. Absolutely perfect! Both bedrooms are identical in which was lovely for us travelling as 2 couples each with our own bathroom. Downstairs had all amenities and Julie thought of everything. We used the cottage as a base for exploring Bourton on the Water, Diddly Squat Farm, Witney and the new Farmers Dog which was amazing. Really can’t recommend enough, will defiantly be back!! This place is MAGICAL! Beautiful cottage in the most idyllic setting. The cottage has old world charm but every modern amenity you need. On our first full day we enjoyed a great hike from the cottage to the Roman Villa, passing over hills, through wheat fields and herds of sheep. Such an incredible adventure, making lifelong memories with our kids. We hope to stay here again. Thank you Seb!

We had an amazing repeat stay. The cottage is wonderfully quintessential and in a prefect location. The amenities are spot on and the private outside space is such a great addition. The inside is all you could hope for from a Cotswolds cottage. Communication throughout our stay is always good and helpful local suggestions really made the holiday. In addition to the lovely pubs in Kingham, For a country walk we recommend a walk through the fields to The Kings Head for lunch.

Lovely accommodation and wonderful hosts. We loved our stay at The Granary - a one bedroom conversion in an idyllic Oxfordshire village close to the M40, A43 and A34 - great access to Oxford, Banbury, Silverstone, Leamington Spa and surrounds. Beautifully appointed over two floors with garden views, the accommodation has everything needed to self cater and relax and was very private and quiet. Our host Jane was warm, friendly, very accommodating and responsive to our questions. We had a memorable stay and hope to visit again.

We had an amazing stay at Martin’s Nest for a few days in the Cotswolds. The place was as depicted with comfortable living spaces. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. It was so nice to curl up with a fire at end of a long day. Would stay again!

What a fantastic welcome to The Manse cottage we received from Janet. Her cottage was cosy and spotless clean. Janet had thought of everything down to the ice, for a welcome G&T in the evening after busy days exploring the area. We shall definitely return to The Manse, with so much more to explore in the area.
