Farmstay vacation rentals in Otago

We had a fantastic stay here for a couple of nights. The setting was beautiful and Michele was kind enough to let us explore the stunning garden and enjoy some of her home grown veg. The welcome couldnt have been warmer. The accommodation was clean and cosy and was perfect for us and our two small children. A perfect alternative to staying in Tekapo. We would loved to have stayed longer. Would strongly recommend this place to others.

The lookout lodge was by far one of the best places I've ever stayed! The lodge was perfect for our girls weekend, spacious, clean with everything you need. The garden are and lookout/views are incredible. Nancy was a great host and communicated everything perfectly. We all cant wait to book again with our family!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Hosts are delightful, very helpful and full of local knowledge. Cottage was exactly what we expected of a farm stay. Breakfast items provided, including eggs from the farm. Place was clean and tidy and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped. All in all a great stay and highly recommended.

Beautiful surroundings, especially in autumn with all the gorgeous trees changing colour! Very private, isolated, quiet, and peaceful. Easy 3 minute drive to Twizel to get groceries. About an hour’s drive to Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo, and the drive is lovely with gorgeous scenery the whole way. Cottage was clean. Beds very comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and prepare all our meals. TV only has freeview channels and signal is sporadic, but you don’t go all the way to Ben Ohau to watch TV so it wasn’t an issue for us! Would definitely stay again.

Loved staying at Meg’s place! It was a peaceful getaway. Loved seeing the horses and foals. Also enjoyed the very friendly dog and cat. The cat gets chatty when they see you and greets you when walking out to your car or coming back to the property. Facilities were great! Highly recommend and would stay again.

Clever design of a compact space with beautiful mountain views. A very relaxing retreat in rural surroundings and yet very convenient for Queenstown and Arrowtown attractions.

Amazing house, amazing hosts, cool animals which you can feed! Setting is absolutely stunning, close enough to Queenstown but remote enough to feel the serene landscape, amazing night sky's too. Hosts went above and beyond and did everything with a smile. Great spot!!

We had a fantastic time staying here. All the bedrooms were a great size and the open plan dining and lounge area was huge. The place was spotless and had a good range of kitchenware. The highlight for our daughters was Indy (super friendly dog) coming over to say hello and the sight of the merino sheep running across the field to get some snacks.

We came as a group of 7, 18 year-old boys and had the best time. Would be ideal for a family or anyone young as well. Beautiful walks all around and a great escape from city life. Thank you so much.

We cannot say enough good things about this fantastic Lavender Farm home. It is beautifully decorated, was spotlessly clean, incredibly well-equipped, the location was very handy and the grounds just lovely. We were impressed with how warm the house stayed overnight, even on very crisp mornings—the quality of build is imminently evident. Our family extended our stay as we couldn’t bear to leave, and we wish we could live there forever. Thank you as well to Jane for being a responsive host, and we highly rate this experience to future guests.

Eddie provided the clear guidance and welcome us by herself. We visited her farm and caught some apples, they are tasted good, my mother really loved them. The house is really clean, a little bit tiny but very warm, just like our home. The kitchen is outside the room and has full equipments, my family cooked our dinner by ourselves. Tomorrow morning we fed the sheep and they are really lovely.😊

Absolutely stunning Airbnb and a beautiful experience overall. I recommend this place as highly as anywhere I’ve ever stayed!! It was HUGE!! So spacious yet so comfy and had a really nice, cozy vibe for our autumn visit. The animals are all a huge plus. Felt like such a dream to wake up to those Highland Cows in the paddock!! This is the 2nd time we have stayed at James's place and it was equally as good as the 1st time. For us Racing at Levels was magic, just being down the road. We were able to relax within a few minutes of the track. Plenty of room for a big Race Trailer. James a very responsive host and very helpful with early check in and being able to leave the trailer for an extra couple of hours after checkout. If James will have us & the house is free we will definately be staying again

It truly felt like a hidden gem - secluded and peaceful, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle, yet still conveniently close to town and the beach. Justine's place is a lovely, relaxing spot in a beautiful setting. It's a bit removed from restaurants and stores, so bring provisions. Justine is very helpful and responsive. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, it's a perfect place to relax in solitude, build a fire, and gaze out across the landscape

Beautiful and cosy farm stay. Away from other other houses so we could be in complete darkness at night and see the Milky Way! Charlotte was very quick with her responses and Chad was kind enough to show us the calves and the farm.

I highly recommend booking the hot tub and having a soak while the sunsets

Our stay was great, we were a family of four adults and it suited us perfectly. The cottage was just as described and Jackie was a welcoming, friendly host. Everything was clean and tidy, and in great working order. The surroundings were peaceful and just a short drive from Cromwell itself. It was a great base from which to explore Arrowtown and Queenstown as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Marianne and Pascal’s place. They were incredibly warm and welcoming hosts, and even provided us with delicious milk, bread, and other food items upon arrival. One of the highlights of our stay was the farm tour—they introduced us to their horses, sheep, chickens, and alpacas, and we had the chance to interact with them up close. It was such a fun and memorable experience. They also helped us light the fireplace, making the house cozy and warm. The accommodation was well-equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Tony went above and beyond for us. We arrived very late from cycling in and Tony had got some of the most delicious pies for us as the town had closed already. Very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back!
