Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Oban

We have just got back from a fantastic week at The Barn in Ardfern. Cameron’s dad Phil lives nearby and he gave us lots of good tips for places to see. He was also a lovely friendly person to chat to. The Barn is very private and peaceful. Inside it is fantastically designed, comfortable, with everything we could need - a beautiful kitchen, crisp white bed linen, lovely bath and shower, and nice milk, biscuits and wine to welcome us. Places not to miss are Arduaine garden, Crarae garden, Ardmaddy garden and Crinan canal for walking or cycling. Lucy’s in the village was lovely for breakfast, lunch or coffee & cake. Just five minute walk up the hill near The Barn is a splendid view on the surrounding Lochs. We also went to Iona (book ahead with CalMac or West Coast Tours) - it was great getting the bus between ferries rather than driving. The ferries get very booked up at this time of year. Altogether we could not have asked for a lovelier week- thanks so much Phil Abi and Cameron.

The promise of the view was fabulous and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a peaceful and secluded place, this is the place. It is not perfectly placed if you are looking for tourist places to visit but the place is enough for itself for a few nights and it is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the calm. The bedrooms and living rooms are very beautiful and well decorated. Thank you for providing a beautiful home like this.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay in Oban. Shops, restaurant and harbour easily walkable. The house was immaculate. Beautifully furnished. Kitchen had everything you could want. Bedrooms excellent. All very clean. Michelle is a fabulous host. She is very friendly and always responded quickly. She also provided some provisions which was lovely. She also had lots of good recommendations for activities and restaurants. Definitely recommend this property and would stay here again

An utterly beautiful cottage in a fantastic location, with an enchanting little garden. There was everything you needed and was of the highest quality. Rosemary was so helpful, before, during and after our stay. Nothing was too much trouble and she responded almost immediately. The island of Bute is amazing, peaceful, relaxing and full of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would stay again if we are allowed- well worth the money. Thank you so much Rosemary

We had a lovely stay in Oban. The house had great views across the loch and was surrounded by a beautiful gardens. Easy and clear instructions to gain access to the house. The property was very clean and well appointed. Fiona was a perfect host who was very informative and responded quickly to our questions. Very easy to arrange taxis if you wanted a few drinks with your meal in Oban town. I would recommend booking an hour or so ahead of time. Overall a great stay. We loved our overnight stay here, very peaceful, great views of the river, much opportunity for wildlife spotting if we were here longer. We wouldn't hesitate to return and look forward to doing so. Beautiful food option too, which was a welcome surprise

This is a smartly presented and well laid out place to stay. Although we were only here for two nights, we soon felt at home. highly recommended.

Our week at The Stables is one of the best holidays we've ever had. Laura and Ronnie we're so welcoming and the accommodation is idyllic. It was such a relaxing week in a stunning area. There were plenty of walks to do with our boys (dogs) and resident Bertie made them feel right at home. We're still missing Bertie now!! I think I asked Ronnie for local recommendations everyday and he was always so happy to help. We'd highly recommend Nick Nairn's for a meal and takeaway pizza! The Stables was impeccably clean, perfectly equipped for our stay and an all round great spot. We'll definitely be visiting again.

Lovely place, very comfortable and has everything you need. Lisa was very helpful and responded really quickly to my last minute booking. Ideal location for anyone walking the Rob Roy Way. You can get a bus to Callander or Strathyre. If you are tired at the end of the day it's a wonderful place to be!

Great accommodation , very clean and homely . Location spot on for walking into town and the views spectacular. Instructions were very detailed and easy to use . Had a wonderful stay and would return at any time . Thanks

Perfect place to stay for our group of 4! Just a short walk from the train station, and central to just about everything else in town. The flat was clean and had almost everything we needed for cooking meals. Comfy beds and a cozy common area. We would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Oban! Alison was a friendly and responsive host, and had great communication leading up to our stay.

Wonderful accommodation, surrounded by greenery and quiet! Beautiful view from the house, which is very welcoming and equipped with everything, we felt at home. The location is also very convenient for visiting the Isle of Skye (about 1 hour), Inverness (about 1 hour), and Loch Ness (30 minutes). Elizabeth was extremely kind to welcome us despite the late hour and gave us many tips on places to visit. We had a really good time! Thank you!

Very comfortable apartment with nice furnishings and all the amenities. Lynne provided instant coffee, sugar and even some treats which were all appreciated after driving all day. Only 12 minute walk to downtown and lots tondo. Will definitely come back! Thanks Lynne for a great stay!

The stay was wonderful. Beautiful area, nice house with everything we needed and more. Had a lovely time. Only downside where the smidges (flies). So if you come here take some bugspray.

Everything about our stay in the boys dormitory was superb. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stay in such a unique accommodation especially with all of the access to the abbeys modern facilities was a huge bonus. Me and my wife couldn’t get enough of the lake views from our sitting room.

Brilliant stay in a fabulous location, Having stayed in the area for over 10 years on fishing trips this is the best, absolutely spotless lovely and cosy with views to die for, be it wildlife or weather watching (seen otters on the last day) it’s hard to move from the sofa or even put the tv on looking out the big picture window also it has the comfiest bed ever. The location is also excellent being close to Oban for restaurants, shopping etc but also for a lovely drives north to Glencoe etc also 2 mins away from the fabulous beach at Ledaig with its amazing views. Lovely little touches too, flowers and welcome pack with shortbread, tea, coffee milk and sugar to get you started. Will definitely be returning If I can loved it x.

We had a great time here. This was a birthday surprise for my cousin 70th birthday who has problems with mobility. Wendy communicated with me putting flowers, banners and a balloon to surprise her which was great. It was easy for my cousin to get around the property and the garden. Definitely would come back. Beautiful property in a stunning setting.

We had an excellent stay at Cobblerview Apartment! The view was, of course, gorgeous - but the care that Carol & Don took in ensuring our stay was comfortable was greatly appreciated and made our experience especially enjoyable. The apartment is cosy and immediately inviting, with a sizable living room space and dining table positioned next to the window and looking out onto Loch Long. Though the view you have of the loch itself is expansive, we never felt as though we didn’t have enough privacy - aside from this window out onto the water, almost all of the natural light that filters in is through skylights. We never needed for utensils or utilities, Carol & Don provided a full range of crockery, cleaning supplies and towels It’s worth bearing in mind that as this is a waterfront property, the bugs are in abundance around summer and you’ll need to have your spray on if you want to sit out on the balcony this time of year!

We had an incredible 3 night stay at Skyfall. One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed! Spotlessly clean rooms with an amazing view. A lot of effort was made to make our stay feel extra special. It was the perfect birthday getaway and the hosts were very kind and welcoming from the minute we arrived. This makes a huge difference compared to the standard ‘self check-in’ experience that a lot of places offer. The location was absolutely pristine with the most breathtaking views from every window. We slept so well! Jill and Simon were so proactive and easy to communicate with. we felt very welcome and loved our stay!

We were warmly welcomed by Cathy. Who had bread and shortbread and jam ready for us. Which she had made herself😋. The hosts were easily accessible when we needed them. The apartment had everything we needed and we received clear instructions on how to operate the equipment Furthermore, we had fantastic views of Loch Long and the mountains. Beautiful garden present and terrace with beautiful plants. And especially not to forget a nice one at 5 minutes walking distance to let the dog out. This is a place we will definitely book should we visit the highlands again.😃

Great host, great apartment and a great holiday! We really appreciated how thoughtful Vincent was - from leaving fresh milk and some Scottish biscuits for us, to making sure that the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Cove was also a wonderful surprise - what a beautiful place! We would highly recommend both Vincent's apartment and Cove to anyone.

Moya’s hospitality was outstanding and the apartment was perfect! She made sure we had everything we could want or need, and we were able to walk or take short drives to everything for the 3 days we stayed. Super convenient to many great pubs and restaurants and the park! Sparkling clean and fresh— everything felt brand new — thank you, Moya! (Amazing water pressure and great soaking tub, too!!)
