Riverbank luxury self catering apartment

KathrynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This apartment was outstanding and Hazel has given much attention to detail and nothing has been forgotten. We had everything we needed and more. The place was spotless and had beautiful furnishings and we all got that cosy, relaxed vibe the minute we arrived. Lovely views over the river, and you can catch a glimpse of the sea over the rooftops. A few little extras were provided for my son's 30th birthday which made it even more special. We all had a great time here and can definitely recommend, it will not disappoint. Thankyou.

Stayed with my family and had a great time. House is easy to get to and clear instructions to get in. It very close (5min walk) to a Lidl and aldi (amongst other shops) and only a 15/20 min walk along the river ness to the town centre shops. The place was really clean and well cared for-couldn’t fault the house at all. We would certainly stay again if there was availability.

We had a wonderful stay at The Croft. The house and surroundings are absolutely beautiful. The house and the kitchen are really well stocked with everything you could possibly wish for if wanting to cook at home. Relax in SUPER SIZED copper tub - 2 bedroom villa

HeatherRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a phenomenal stay in Inverness. Walkable to all downtown restaurants shops and Ness Island walking trails and parks. Shirt druves to Loch Ness and surrounding tourist attractions. The place was beautiful right down to the fixtures and finishing touches. The hosts went out of their way to help me with a travelling problem I encountered, which they really did not have to do. I am so appreciative and grateful for my stay here!

Amazing Place Aviemore, Live it, Love it !

AnneRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The flat is within easy walking distance to the centre of Aviemore. It’s in a quiet street. Whilst there we hired bikes from Aviemore bikes and did various cycle routes. We visited the Osprey’s and even saw a Capercaillie. We will definitely be back.

Highland Seaside Retreat - Nairn

RidmaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
We had a great stay here! The place was comfortable and well-located, with easy access to local shops and restaurants, which made everything really convenient. Stephen was a great host—very responsive and even offered us an extra hour for late check-out, which we appreciated (though we didn’t end up needing it). Just a heads up for future guests: off-street parking isn’t permitted at the property, but there’s a nearby solution—Library car park is just around the corner and worked out fine for us. All in all, a pleasant and easy stay.

Your guide to Inverness

All About Inverness

Sitting on the banks of the River Ness where it meets the Moray Firth, Inverness, capital of the Scottish Highlands, is a charming city surrounded by rolling green hills and stunning landscapes. This small town offers impressive 18th- and 19th-century stone architecture, a Victorian covered market, and plenty of cultural and historical sites to explore. The High Street is a pedestrian-only lane lined with trendy shops and lively Scottish pubs.

The town is a great place to use as a base to explore Loch Ness, or you can head out into the Highlands to discover the region’s soaring mountains, emerald-green hills, and crystal-clear lakes. Inverness is also less than an hour away from a number of interesting natural and historical sights, including Cairngorms National Park, which is home to rugged mountains and their many walking and biking trails, and the Highland Folk Museum, where you can learn more about the living history of the Highlands. The 19th-century Balmoral Castle, one of the residences of the British royal family, is less than two hours away.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Inverness

April through October are great times to secure your vacation rental in Inverness as the days are very long and relatively warm and sunny, perfect for exploring the Scottish Highlands. In July, the Inverness Highland Games draw visitors from around the world to witness events such as the tossing of the caber or the stonemason’s stone challenge, along with traditional Highland music and dancing.

During the fall and winter, it can get very cold and windy, so this is the perfect time to explore the great restaurants and pubs in the city center. By spring, things begin to liven up again and the streets become busier as the weather gets warmer. No matter the season, the weather in Scotland can be unpredictable, so it’s always a good idea to pack plenty of layers and have an umbrella or waterproof jacket with you at all times.

Ness Islands

These miniature islands are located in the middle of the River Ness, around a mile south of the city center. They are connected to the embankment via a series of picturesque suspension footbridges. While you are walking among the soaring pine trees, you may pass anglers hoping to catch some salmon.
