What a gem of a place! The listing was exactly what was in the tin! The hosts are top-notch and have put a lot of thought and effort into their property and guests' expectations. A well thought out welcome pack for both humans and dogs. There are 7 different areas of seating around the property and grounds all with fabulous views and so you can watch the wide variety of wildlife. When we say the place was clean, it was spotless including the hot tub. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and user friendly. Plenty of books, DVD's, games, puzzles, maps and toiletries. Well recommended.

The Tweed Log Cabin with Hot Tub, Northumberland

JamesRating, 5 stars2 months ago
An excellent, clean property well located for our visit to the Northumberland coast. The site itself was very clean and safe for our grandchildren to play. Vickie was a responsive host who was always quick to answer our questions. The only drawback was poor WiFi and issues with connecting to 4G at times. However this did not spoil our stay one bit. Thank You

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bankhill Cottage. We loved the location for walks around Berwick-Upon-Tweed and for car trips to explore Berwickshire. We enjoyed being walking distance to the train station for some side-trips. The cottage is spacious, bright and well-equiped. We would definitely book here again if we were back in this area.

The Bothy, Churnsike Lodge

Absolutely stunning cottage in extremely remote location. We had such a great week staying at The Bothy. Stephen and Dawn are very welcoming and relaxed hosts who are offering a truly unique stay in the forest. The cottage is extremely remote, but there is plenty to do in the area, including - cycling, walking and some great restaurants. We would love to come back.

Warkworth was a great base for beautiful beach walks, visiting Warkworth Castle, riverside strolls. Good eateries within a few minutes. The Old Station Cottage (Bamburgh / Belford)

GuyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a place! This clean, well-equipped accomodation was perfect as a base for our tour of the North East area from Alnwick to Stirling Castle. Close to Bamburgh and Seahouses, the restaurants are 10 minutes away. (You have to try the Potted Lobster at Bamburgh). If you choose to self-cater, the kitchen is fully equipped to suit family meals. For completeness, I shoud mention the trains. If you love trains as we do, then the (very) nearby NE line will not be a bother - it's all part of the experience. We didn't hear any trains after 22:30, or maybe we were so tired from our travels that we missed them. In any case the quick rumble as the express trains pass soon becomes part of the background. No more that the lowing of cows in a nearby field. Would we stay there again? Most definitely. 5 stars all the way.

Seabreeze Alnmouth

The Apartment was well situated, very close to the shops, restaurants and the local amenities. It was a very easy stroll to the beautiful beach and for those inclined a very enjoyable amble towards Walkworth. Upon arrival there was Prosecco and milk in the fridge and everywhere looked very clean and tidy. The communication was easy as was the access and there were no worries regarding parking as a space was provided. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to other people - I have no doubt we’ll come back here again.

Lakeside East Haggerston Castle Holiday

LauraRating, 5 stars23 months ago
How was your host Nathalie is an attentive host, phone call on arrival as we’d got a little lost! Explained all facilities and gave us tips for days out & eating out recommendations. Perfect host. How clean was lodge Despite the smell of dog when we first entered the lodge, once we got inside & unpacked everything was clean & tidy. Plenty of cleaning products should we have needed them (we had brought our own just in case) Both bathrooms were clean smelt fresh. Facilities WiFi was a lovely addition, perfect for me to play on social media uploading my photos from each day. Lovely furniture with plenty of space to relax inside & on the deck. View of lake was stunning. Everything you need in kitchen & throughout the lodge from books, games, video games. Everything has been thought of. Thankfully the gas bottle held out. I did find this part a bit stressful. Understandably, Nathalie is concerned at the cost of gas bottles & fair usage of it. Perfect stay! We have loved it. Thank you

Honeymug, Branton

AnneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Honeymug provided the perfect backdrop for our group of six meeting up to reminisce about college days forty odd years ago! The cottage was comfortable and cosy and the welcome basket of goodies was indeed most welcome! Very comfortable beds to sleep off the long, coastal walks and swims in the indoor pool. We ate in The Bosk on our last evening and enjoyed it very much, having sampled the Friday evening pizzas too! Everyone was a fan of the outdoor jacuzzi, which we booked each evening and whirled away an hour chatting to the various local members we shared it with! Everyone was so friendly and we learned a lot about the area. Highlights were our boat trip to Inner Farne, an afternoon with the Chillingham cattle, and a day spent on the beautiful and peaceful Lindisfarne. We left feeling there was so much else to discover and we'll hope to be back to do just that! Many thanks John!

Orchard Hideaway, 4* Luxury Lodge, wood hot tub!

EllieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with our 2yr old and 11 yr old. We all had a fantastic time and felt extremely relaxed. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and lots of little walks to explore from the cabin. On the first evening we arrived we were greeted kindly by Maggie's son who told us about the local area and made us feel at home. The wood burning hot tub was preheated and ready for us to get in (lots of wood provided )The view from the cabin was amazing and within 5 minutes we saw multiple hares and a deer. We then enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub looking at the stars and saw a barn owl from the woods flying over us. The next day we enjoyed playing at the tennis courts provided, enjoyed a local walk to the river and the hosts son introduced us to their "teddy bear" lambs. The next morning we visited a local cafe and play area recommended by the Maggie which was fantastic. Best Airbnb stay we've ever stayed at!

The location was great too with Seahouses a short distance on foot (and stunning views along the way!) There were great options of things to do further afield too!
