Farmstay vacation rentals in Northern Norway

We hebben een prachtige reis gehad. Het uitzicht vanaf het huisje is zo mooi. De ervaring om over een ijsmeer te kunnen lopen en van daarop het noorderlicht te zien, zalig! Kristina heeft ons alle troeven van de streek meegegeven zodat we zeker het beste uit onze reis konden halen. Een aanrader!

Jan Sverre und seine Frau sind äusserst freundliche, humorvolle Leute. Die Unterkunft entspricht voll und ganz der Beschreibung. Befindet sich in sehr ländlicher Gegend, direkt an einem Fjord. Zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit sind es ca. 5-7 Autominuten. Nach Sortland benötigt man ca. 20 Autominuten.

Great spot for a couple (or small family). Near anything you might need and good layout and amenities. Sauna is very nice and the shower in the sauna is good and hot!

We had two wonderful weeks in this cozy cabin at this very special place: We loved the view from the cabin onto the see, the short walk to the rocks to see the sunset, the kajaking between the tiny islands, the evenings in the outdoor bathtub, the hikes up to bolgtinden, through bolgborra and around the island, the bouldering behind the cabin, the slackline between the trees, the snorkeling in the bay... It is really a perfect place on an amazing island. Furthermore the cabin could not be better equipped and Edle Catharina is a very caring host, who explains everything in great detail. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us!

wir kamen Mitte März an und es gab einen ganz schlimmen Schneestorm. Trotzdem ging es gut bis zur Unterkunft mit dem Mietauto. das Haus ist sehr traditional eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Gute Küche, super Dusche, Heizung war auch top bei dem sehr kaltem Wetter. Wunderbare Strände für Wanderungen in Gehdistanz. Die Nordlichter sahen wir direkt vor der Haustüre.

Wir haben für eine Woche die Hütte auf dem Bauernhof gebucht und hätten uns keinen schöneren Urlaub in Lappland vorstellen können. Unsere Gastgeberin Eleni war stets für uns da und hat geholfen, wo sie nur konnte. Dank ihrer super lieben Art haben wir uns direkt wohl gefühlt. Unser absolutes Highlight sind für uns die Nordlichter gewesen - wir können unser Glück noch gar nicht richtig fassen. Wir sind richtig beseelt und dankbar! Also: Wer eine (romantische) Auszeit fernab von dem ganzen Trubel sucht ist hier genau richtig.

Our stay at this beautiful home was absolutely unforgettable. We spent three nights here and were thrilled to witness the mesmerizing Northern Lights during our visit. Hanne went above and beyond by providing incredibly helpful information on everything—from the local weather updates to fantastic recommendations for nearby attractions and dining spots. Their support truly enhanced our overall experience. We highly recommend this charming place to anyone looking to explore the beauty of the region while enjoying a comfortable and memorable stay.

Die Unterkunft war modern ausgestattet, sauber und super gemütlich. Die Lage war perfekt, ruhig aber trotzdem kann man schöne Wanderungen mit dem Auto schnell erreichen. Auch der Gastgeber war total freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir sind rundum zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt und können es nur weiterempfehlen:)

Cathrines place had a beautiful view, was very clean and perfectly located close to hiking trails up the seven sisters. Cathrine even gave us recommendations on which hikes to go on. :) We only spent one night but were sad to leave, so can only recommend!

We had a very nice week near Sortland and were able to explore Vesterålen from here. We were warmly welcomed by Annette and felt very comfortable in the cosy guest house. Everything we needed was available. We would come here again anytime.

Un séjour parfait ! La maison était bien équipée, propre et très cocooning. Line et Kim ont été de très bons hôtes : sympathiques, toujours de bon conseils et plein d’attention. L’emplacement est parfait pour profiter du calme et de la nature tout en restant à proximité de Tromsø pour des activités plus citadines. Merci pour tout ! 😊

We had an amazing stay at Erlend's caravan home! The surrounding nature and mountains were breathtaking and there were lots of possibilities for hiking. The caravan offered everything we needed, nice kitchen with all necessary utensils, cozy bedroom space and the outdoor shower was a truly unique experience! Erlend was very friendly, we got to know Norway a little more through our interesting talks. We highly recommend this caravan place, it was a very nice exerience.☺️

Alexandra & Michael are perfect Hosts. Nothing is a problem and they make you feel welcome before you even arrive! We stayed in the winter time, their place was warm. Everything was as expected.

Es war einfach wunderschön und warm bei Østein. Tolle Panoramafenster mit herrlicher Aussicht. Østein ist ein perfekter Gastgeber, hat und bei allen Dingen unterstützt und war bei Fragen immer erreichbar. wir kommen gerne wieder!

Unser Aufenthalt im Airbnb von Knut und Berit war unglaublich toll! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und wohnlich, wir haben uns wie zuhause gefühlt. Vor allem die gut ausgestattete Küche und das gemütliche Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin lud sehr zum verweilen ein. Ausserdem waren Knut und Berit die besten Gasteber*innen, die ich jemals erlebt habe! Sie waren sehr gut erreichbar, gaben uns viele Tipps, beantworteten unsere Fragen schnell und brachten sogar sehr leckere, noch warme Zimtschnecken vorbei! Die Lage des Airbnbs ist toll, da es direkt am Meer ist und man bei Ebbe sehr weit am Strand entlang gehen kann. Es ist ca. 45min ausserhalb von Tromsø und mit Auto oder Bus gut zu erreichen. Es hat ein paar Strassenlampen an der Strasse, aber die Nordlichter sind trotzdem gut sichtbar (wenn sie denn da sind). Wir sind unglaublich glücklich, dieses Airbnb gefunden zu haben und würden sofort wiederkommen!

this was the best home we stayed in in all of sweden. the people from guestly are open and willing to think with you on so many ways. there was a bottle of champange on the counter when we arrived with a lot of chips. my boyfriend and i got engaged at this home and got some amazing photos. we even got 2 bottles of wine from our host because they were so exited for us. we even had contact after our stay because they were so lovely. we hope we can come back for our honeymoon after we get married, that would be amazing. we also had a problem with the dishwasher and they where there to fix it in just 15 minutes. thank you again for being part of the best trip of our lives. kind regard, Sinsy.

Een mooi, oud maar gezellig Noors huis met een goed ingerichte keuken. De badkamer is wat klein maar verder prima. Het huis ligt in een klein dorpje met een supermarkt om de hoek. Mooie en rustige ligging.

Very luxurious house with lots of space. The location is on a hill which makes spotting northern lights easy. It’s also very conveniently located if you want to go skiing in Ylläs or just roaming around the nearby lakes. Access to groceries and restaurants is also very close by.

We wanted somewhere comfortable, warm with amazing views across a fjord. This house was perfect. We enjoyed watching the landscape change with the weather. We saw fantastic Northern Lights on the two clear nights from inside the house, but had to go outside as they were all over the sky. A good place for photography. The house is extremely well equipped and has everything you need, including snow shoes which enabled us to go on two walks in the deep snow. The log burner was fantastic with plenty of logs and the WiFi was great. Anne was an amazing host keeping in touch and updating us on a road closure due to an avalanche risk. We would definitely stay here again.

Katrina tilbyr 1) godt vertskap, i 2) et koselig hus i 3) fantastiske omgivelser! Flotte fjell, sjø, rein, elg, ørn og annet fugleliv var inkludert i vårt opphold hos Katrina:)

Amazing. Just amazing. One of the best we have ever stayed in.

Nous etions 4 et nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est vraiment très agréable, bien équipée, avec le sauna super appréciable. Nous avons pu voir les animaux de la ferme et c'était extra de découvrir le lama gardant les moutons ! Le poêle à bois chauffe rapidement et agréablement tout l'étage du bas. Bref, un très bel endroit, un peu éloigné des routes principes, mais c'est ce qu'on vient chercher ici. Merci !

Anne’s place is the dream Airbnb everyone would like to stay at. Truly, if you are coming to the Tromso region and are comfortable with driving a car in snowy/a bit icy conditions, CHOOSE HERE. Anne and Steinar are so kind and accommodating. The Airbnb looks 1000% better than the beauty already shown on the listing - I simply was not expecting how spacious it is and how breathtaking the views from the balcony is. We were 4 people and the 3 bedrooms were perfect for us. The kitchen and utensils cabine has everything you need - we didn’t eat out at all during our one week stay here. The best part? INCREDIBLE northern lights show at your own balcony. We were lucky enough to catch it twice during six days, and it was so comfortable just being on the balcony and seeing the lights dance. If you want and have non slippery shoes, you can also just go to the front and side of the house to watch the magic unfold. It really is breathtaking. Thanks Anne, we will come back :)
