Treehouse vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

What a wonderful, peaceful oasis! The treehouse at the Shire is just incredible! The hosts were very welcoming and communicative. The grounds and property are just stunning. There are also trails and a trail map to adventure on the property. They also have a very sweet pup, Bo, who became best friends with my dogs (after a friendly introduction and me asking if he was free to play). I can’t say enough positive things about this place! Great location to hike and have a peaceful respite, but close to restaurants too! Also, LGBTQ+ friendly!

We fell asleep to the sound of the creek on the property and enjoyed sitting by the camp fire several nights. Dark skies made for great stargazing. While we spent most of our time away from the house during the day hiking and looking at beautiful overlooks, we slept well in comfortable beds and watched a few of the DVDs that were available in the evening. I’d definitely stay here again.

Le chalet sur le lac est idyllique. Belle vue, emplacement idéal sur le lac en hauteur. Le chemin pour s’y rendre en hiver est un peu sportif mais ça se fait bien, voyagez léger ! Le chalet est bien équipé, mais amenez vos oreillers pour plus de confort. Les matelas sont un peu dur mais en camping comme ça on doit s’y attendre. Super bien équipé pour cuisiner et surtout très confortable. On recommande !

This stay was everything we wanted- relaxing, calm and a beautiful property. We did hikes near by and activities in the town. We really enjoyed exploring! I would love to come back!

Staying at the treehouse was such a unique experience! The treehouse actually has trees growing amongst the various decks and porches! There are so many windows with great views of the forest. I loved how cozy and clean it felt and we enjoyed all of the amenities (sauna, rain shower, hot tub bathtub). My kids enjoyed sleeping up in the loft. There are a lot of outdoor and screened in spaces that allowed us to spread out and relax. The gas fireplace is two sided and even heats one of the porches! I could see this being a nice place to stay in all seasons. Although the treehouse is not far (8 mins) from two substantial grocery stores, the site feels very private and peaceful. And MDI is so accessible as well. Thank you for sharing this memorable experience with us!

Cet endroit est vraiment à couper le soufle. Le cadre est splendide, nous nous sommes senti hors du temps, c'est relaxant. Nous avons échangés quelques mots avec la personne de l'accueil qui était très chaleureuse et généreuse. Les logements sont tout autant sublimes les uns que les autres. L'accès à la forêt est un petit plus très agréable car la plage est splendide. Cerise sur le gâteau, les logements sont respectueux de l'environnement. Je recommande.

The cabin was just as described and was just what we needed for a getaway; quiet, private , and peaceful.

I sort of selfishly don't want to write this because I feel I found a secret gem in this place but they deserve your business so: FABULOUS in every way! Sheila and her crew are pro-level. I felt totally comfortable from the moment I booked until the moment I left. It is a magical space and they are lovely, lovely people. They were available, helpful and friendly but also gave us our space. It was a COLD, rainy May weekend but so unbelievable cozy and we still effortlessly had the best time. I am having trouble imagining a season that would not be perfect here. Would go back, 100%.

I wish I could rate this higher than 5 stars because it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed at. It was the most incredible unique experience staying here and I would again in a heartbeat. I hope we get to come back soon to do some more high peak hiking. Such a beautiful rental, thank you Tyler and Emily for everything!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and picturesque the area was. The cabin itself is cozy, charming, and surrounded by nature, it truly feels like a private retreat. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and just take in the quiet beauty around you. We loved how secluded it felt, and the cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to recharge in a beautiful, private setting. We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Bird’s Eye View for a long weekend. Honestly, I wish we could’ve stayed here longer. It’s peaceful, secluded, and beautiful. Mike was quick to respond and always offering his help if we needed anything. We would absolutely stay here again.

The treehouse is beautiful! Decorated very well, very homey and comfortable too. Nice hot tub and bedding was very nice.

What a relaxing escape from work to just enjoy nature and peace and to chill by the fire. Being high up from everybody else in the South treehouse was amazing. I loved the property. I will definitely go again. The only thing I would recommend is to change the bed in the loft area and give a complementary satchel of logs for the fire Pit. I’m a property manager, and I really loved the property wish I could’ve stayed longer it was so peaceful and serene.

We were looking for a unique place to celebrate our Anniversary. The tree house at Lambert Vineyards fit our needs and was within driving distance. This house is unique due to the loft bedroom, which has a spectacular and comfortable view. The weather did not cooperate, as it has always rained on our anniversary. We went down to the vineyard and talked with Shirley, who was very helpful with the wine selection and the story of the winery. The pavilion, attached to the winery, has a beautiful stone fireplace and rocking chairs to sit and relax on a dreary day. JB, the owner, greeted us, and we spoke at length about the area, the family business, and the restaurants available. We went to Thyme Bistro in Weston, WV, for dinner the first night, and the food and atmosphere were incredible. A great find. For our anniversary dinner, we chose to drive 1/2 hour away to Clarksburg, WV, to The Wonder Bar Steakhouse. This is a hidden gem and should be experienced by all. First rate...

We stayed at the Treehouse because we wanted a peaceful little get away and it was perfect! The place was clean, quiet and just like the photos. Eddie was great with getting right back to me with any questions we had and making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying in the Treehouse. Such a cool experience! We will definitely be back.

This property was absolutely perfect. It was a perfect getaway for me and my husband’s anniversary trip. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The dock was perfect to be able to sit and fish and just dangle your toes in the water. About 1 mile away, you are able to float right down the Shenandoah river directly back to your dock. So much wildlife! You feel so secluded in natural but yet everything is within 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beautiful getaway.

Great place to stay after hiking Ricketts Glen. The Airbnb is gorgeous and cozy. Love having coffee in the morning - and there’s also a selection of board games. Beds are on the upper loft, if you are mobility-challenged, the stairs will be a challenge due to the narrowness. However, there is a railing that can be used for guidance while going up and down the stairs. Very unique and amazing place to stay!

Wes has excellent taste,just spotting "Alone Against the North" on the window shelf was a clear sign. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the craftsmanship of the tiny home. It’s truly a work of art. The wraparound deck was a joy to spend time on, even in the rain!The wood stove kept the space cozy and warm, and the outdoor kitchen was fantastic, perfectly set up for cooking solo or as a pair. We also really enjoyed the fire pit under a stunning sky full of stars. The space itself is very clean, and even the outhouse was top-notch! You can tell Wes is a detail-oriented person, which we really appreciated. It's the perfect getaway for nature lovers, with lots of great hiking trails nearby. Wes is a wonderful host, friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
