Lake house vacation rentals in Northeastern United States

A beautiful home and the views were breathtaking on the lake. Although, it was frozen. All the amenities we needed and more. Close to skiing and tubing. Owner Sara was very attentive to respond quickly. We just wanted a getaway place for a family weekend. The road was narrow and very icy. Would go back but not in the winter. Summer and the Fall I think would be best. Lots more things to do in the nicer weather months. Thank you Sara for your hospitality.

This place is a true find! We went there with 10 women looking for a weekend of laughter and relaxation and we got exactly what we wanted. The fire pit, hot tub, sauna, and decks were beautiful and comfortable, even in November. The interior easily slept 10 of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to prepare great food. The living area was big and suitable for a large group. Our favourite place was the big table where we sat and talked, played games, had a few drinks, and laughed. The place was as we expected it to be and we had no issues. We definitely would come back again!

We booked this home after changing our trip dates and losing the original house we rented. Boy, was it worth it!! The home is Beautiful! The views, natural light, huge master bathroom, and the most comfortable couch were just some of our favorite things. One of the bedrooms had kids' books and toys, and it was perfect for our 4-year-old daughter. The owners' communication with us was at its best! We look forward to returning next year!

Our family enjoyed our stay! The house had plenty of room for all of us. Lots of natural light and a beautiful view. This would be a great place to rent in the summer! If we return to the arena in the summer we will definitely book again.

We keep returning to this rental because it is so beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you can imagine to cook a large meal or a BBQ. The bedrooms have so much room for large groups. The best part is the gorgeous lake view from the back patio and master bedroom balcony. Thanks for a terrific, relaxing vacation!

I was in town for a family event and wanted something other than a hotel room. The home was cozy and inviting, instructions were clear and precise. Being late October the weather was unbelievable warm. We (me and 2 sisters) were able to enjoy the wonderful deck and beautiful scenery. It was peaceful and quiet with an amazing views. This was our fourth stay at Jeff and Anne’s beautiful lake home and it just gets better every year. So peaceful and the surroundings are just spectacular. Jeff was quick to respond to our questions and made sure we had everything we needed for another wonderful vacation.

Our stay was amazing. Simply put the lake house us relaxing, with everything was easy. The home is clean with everything we needed for the best mini vacation. Our dogs enjoyed the comfort as did we for having a space we can travel that is inclusive to dig parents. The lake house is a home, away from home that provides a space to visit with family who live in this area. The scene out the windows I pure magic. Beautiful peaceful setting. The house was clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Plenty of soft and cozy towels. Generously supplied kitchen and bathroom accessories-loved the little extra touches like coffee pods, beautiful smelling soaps. Lacey was very responsive to my messages and questions. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Julie was fantastic and always responded in minutes to any questions we had. I love their home manual which is so easy to navigate and has answers for everything. The home is super cozy and the large gas fireplace downstairs was a treat on cooler April mornings. The weather wasn't on our side for 1/2 of short stay, but we had a family olympics inside, using their ping pong table, foosball and connect 4 game. We did get out on kayaks one day - lovely lake, larger than you think! tons of hiking nearby too.

This house is gorgeous. Welcoming, warm, and spotless! You are directly on the lake with an incredible view and the sounds of the waves to lull you to sleep. And although the location is very peaceful, you are close to everything Geneva has to offer. Catharine was responsive and friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

I just wanted to thank you for everything you did for us!! Your home is lovely and I would definitely stay again! We had 3 feet of snow and he plowed everything everyday for us since we worked nights! Beautiful spot you can see the Bay!

A lovely, impeccably appointed, and yet affordable cottage right on Lake Cayuga and minutes from the center of Ithaca and Cornell. . Robert provides prompt and personal service to his guests. Highly recommended.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful this home is. Bigger than I expected. Very clean and large open rooms. Lakeside with gorgeous views. Unfortunately it rained while we were there but the home was so comfortable we enjoyed our time with friends. Definitely more than enough space for our group of 8. Also plenty of parking spaces. I would absolutely stay here again!

Our stay on the lake was wonderful. The housing was perfect and met our needs. This would be a great house to rent during the summer months. WE had a little trouble locating the house initially as it is located among other houses and the drive down to the house is not clearly marked. If you are coming from the south you need to make a turn almost opposite the way you are coming into a steep drive to the housing. It needs to be better marked, maybe with an arrow and house number. The house could also us a little address sign on the walkway for clarification. HOWEVER, the stay was great and getting information to the person in charge was easy. The accommodations were very good. The view was wonderful. The water frontage is a bit steep but there are steps to bring you to the water. In all this is a wonderful home for vacation with amenities about 15 minutes away. I would give Nancy or Eric a call again.

This really was a perfect stay with an incredible view! We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The view was absolutely breathtaking, just as shown in the pictures. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Everything was exactly as described, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend!

We were two couples and enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It is well organized and located in a beautiful setup on the lake. A relatively short 30 minutes drive allowed us easy access to the white Mountains attractions. Vanessa was proactive on closing the open space above the bedroom doors just before we came - so this issue as reported in some other reviews has gone away… in short - highly recommended!

This was a lovely home on a picturesque lake in the Jim Thorpe area. Our kids loved going out on the lake in the canoe; the lake view was idyllic; and Jim Thorpe was a mere ten minutes away. The two living room spaces were great; kids could hang out in one area while adults used the other. I also enjoyed the spacious main suite.
