Waterfront vacation rentals in Northeast Italy

We had a beautiful stay ! We felt like it was exactly what we were looking for and everything was clean and ready. All of the amenities were as promised and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a local feel. We loved the beach and it truly made us feel like we were staying in a local part of Italy. My son got to go outside and play soccer on the beach with his new friends. Truly magical.

Wonderful stay and the view is amazing. The hosts are proactive and went extra mile to ensure not only my stay at their place but also the visit to Varenna is comfortable. They even went out of way to inform me that the trains are not working on the day of my vacating and in case I plan to leave Varenna, they suggested alternate modes and booking details. Very responsive, and kind to respond to me even at 11 pm in the night. The place is clean and cute with all you may need for a great stay. The bed is comfortable. The cute note they shared while vacating, and a beautiful handwritten“thank you “ note sealed the deal for me ❤️

This place is amazing! The quiet nights on the patio, or walking down to the lake to enjoy the lights in the castle with evening setting on Lake Como were so wonderfully relaxing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the insanity of Varenna. Other pluses. Town parking pass for Dervio. Amazing breakfast waiting for the ferry there, full kitchen for spectacular sunset meals with the best view of the lake!

The greeting upon arrival was excellent, we were offered an upgrade as some guests had cancelled due to weather, a nice gesture! The appartment was well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The location is excellent. Far enough from the busy touristic Bellagio but close enough to walk. The ferry pick up is just steps away. The grounds are immaculate and large enough to get a good run in every morning (5km) track style staying on the stone path that twirls the 42 hectar property. The grounds allow you great views of Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta accross the Lake and you can swim if the tempersture permits on the stairs that access the Lake. This is really a great place to stay! Andrea’s apartment is extraordinary. The terrace and the bedrooms overlook the lake and the entire apartment is spotless and well equipped. We are so grateful for our time in Varenna and beautiful lake Como. To top it off our host helped us secure a reservation at Al Prato a very hard to get into restaurant located just across the square from our apartment. Best dining and service we had - highly recommend Andrea’s apartment. It is magical.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno meraviglioso in questo appartamento idealmente situato sull’isola della Giudecca. L’alloggio corrisponde perfettamente alla descrizione: pulito, tranquillo, confortevole e ben attrezzato. Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato la vista rilassante su un incantevole giardino, che ha dato un tocco di serenità al nostro soggiorno. La posizione è comoda per raggiungere il centro di Venezia con il vaporetto, pur offrendo un ambiente tranquillo lontano dalla folla turistica. Un grande grazie a Nicole per la sua calorosa accoglienza, la disponibilità e i consigli preziosi. Ci ha aiutato a organizzare il nostro arrivo, ci ha suggerito ottimi posti locali e si è sempre dimostrata reattiva e premurosa. È una host eccezionale! Raccomandiamo vivamente questo alloggio e speriamo di tornare in occasione di un prossimo viaggio a Venezia.

Ettore's place was perfect for my wife and me! It matched the description well and was very clean. It is perfectly located right by the Varenna square and a short walk down to the water. Ettore picked us up off of the train and helped us get settled. Upon check-out we walked to the train station which is about 10-minutes away. The best part of the apartment is its location. Out the front door there is an excellent restaurant (Il Cavitappi) and wine shop (In Vinis Veritas). Albergo del Sole is a couple of (short) blocks away and is perfect for pizza. Gelato and breakfast stops are also very close. We rented a boat for the day and the dock is also very close to the apartment.

Great stay. Super well located, near everything but in a peaceful surrounding, away from the intense activity of the center. We loved the place, very well decorated. Mirco provided lots of local recommendations, very useful. We arrived early in the morning and were able to leave our luggsge before check in. We loved it!

Beautiful view and right next to Farragona water/boat taxi. The hostess was wonderful- flexible with our check-in/out. Easy to communicate. The apartment is spacious and clean. We always felt safe. It is a more quiet area and that was just what I was hoping - peaceful and relaxing.

Great location right in the middle of all the action in a cute small popular town. we loved having the balcony to enjoy the view during the stay. The beach right in front of the house does get crowded during the day and night. We didn't mind it at all and enjoyed it but something to consider if you are traveling in the high season and want more privacy.

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and inviting. The water pressure and hot water were excellent, and the bed was super comfy. The views were absolutely amazing and made our mornings and evenings extra special. The location was perfect, just a short, easy drive into central Menaggio. Riccardo was an incredibly friendly and responsive host, which made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Amazing and very clean waterfront apartment. Google maps don’t show accurate directions so I recommend using Apple Maps, our host was very helpful to get us to the right address. The boat station (that you take to go everywhere) is only a few min away, the area is very safe, walkable and has lots of cool spots nearby - cafes, shops, everything. Kitchen is well stocked with high quality pots, dishes and supplies. Hot shower, and washing machine were very nice.

Die Lage und der Blick auf den See, sind die 5 Sterne dieses Liegenschaft. Egal bei welchem Wetter, man kann fast immer auf der Terrasse sitzen und sich am Blick erfreuen. Die Küche lässt einem Hobbykoche viele Möglichkeiten, der zu Fuß zu erreichende ital. Supermarkt ist bestens bestückt und schon früh offen zum täglichen Einkauf. Wir werden nicht das lt. Mal dort gewesen sein.

Wir waren von Michele’s Unterkunft begeistert und hatten ein paar schöne Tage dort. Auch die ganze Abwicklung hat super unkompliziert geklappt. Klare Empfehlung

Elena is a very kind, accommodating, and reliable host. She responds to questions lightning-fast and called me immediately after booking to inform me of all the important details. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. You won't miss anything. The internet works very well. The view from the apartment is unique and special. There were four of us there, two adults and two children, and there was absolutely enough space. The bed and the couch were also very comfortable. We would love to come back one day and highly recommend Elena's apartment.

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in der Unterkunft! Die Wohnung war sauber, gemütlich und genauso wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Die Lage war super. Es ruhig, aber dennoch zentral. Der Check-in lief reibungslos, und der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, gut erreichbar und hilfsbereit bei Fragen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

부모님 모시고 다시 오고 싶은 숙소였어요. 물품들이 세심하게 준비되어 있고, 침구들이 정말 깨끗합니다. 숙소 환경은 정말 평화로워서 새소리가 들리고 창문을 열면 레몬나무들이 푸르게 보여요. 해변이랑도 가까워서 수영하고 젤라또 먹으면서 집으로 걸어갈 수 있는게 제일 좋았어요. 또한 드럼세탁기용 세제 및 세탁기가 잘 구비되어 있어서 물놀이하고 빨래하기 좋아요. 저는 세탁세제를 들고다녀서 사용하지 않았지만 세심하다고 느꼈던 부분입니다. 테라스에 빨랫줄도 설치되어 있어서 좋은 햇살에 빨래를 말릴 수 있었어요. 화장실도 너무 깨끗하고, 적절한곳에 조명들이 셋팅되어 있어서 솔직히 사진보다 더 좋았습니다.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt, super Lage, moderne Ausstattung, alles, was man braucht. Strand nur 5 min entfernt, super Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, super Pool. Markus war immer erreichbar und war die ganze Zeit sehr behilflich

Really enjoyed Marta’s place. She was very considerate and accommodated our needs after a long haul flight from Australia. The flat has a real charm as it integrates modern amenities architecturally with an a very old building. Whisper quiet yet close to the action of Canneregio. Close to train station and a manageable walk to San Marco and the sights. 👍
