Kid-friendly vacation rentals in North Elba

Family had a great time. House was big enough and lay out was great. Kitchen and living room upstairs with bedrooms downstairs was nice. Hot tub was very nice and well used. Outside access to deck from second floor balcony from kitchen was convenient. This Lake Placid location to many high peak trailheads was only 10-30 minutes which was great. Would recommend this house for sure. Family wants to come back.

Great location! The home was close to Lake Placid and Whiteface. Home is spacious and cozy. Owner was very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Our stay with Pat could not have been better! She was a gracious, most helpful, and highly responsive host. The house was easy to find and CLEAN. Inside is everything you could possibly need, and then some. All of downtown is easily accessible and within walking distance. Our group included four adults and three teenage kids and were comfortable. We arrived to cookies and a handwritten note. You don't find that type of kindness anymore! We would absolutely return.

I went for a winter trip with my family. The place is really well located. Extremely clean. Had all the amenities that I needed.

Great spot! The hosts provided everything that a visitor could need or want right down to the simplest details - that was much appreciated. The house was thoughtfully furnished and was clean, tidy and functional. We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely go back.

The views were absolutely spectacular. Place was spotless and fairly comfortable. (I have had spinal fusion due to severe arthritis so not much is comfortable) my son said it was comfortable and loved the area. Would highly recommend going to their place. If I come back I would stay again. Thank you.

Great location. Short walk to the Main Street. House was clean.

The room was bigger than I expected and was very comfortable to spend time in after outdoor activities. The kitchen in particular was equipped with everything you need for cooking, so there was no problem.

The place is in a great location!! You can walk to Main Street shops under 10 minutes. If you’re visiting Lake Placid, I would highly recommend this place!

Our stay was peaceful and what we needed! We spent a lot of time outside kayaking and fishing so it wasn’t too important where we stayed - but wow. I am so thankful to have stayed with Kevin! Everything we needed and more was available in a clean modern space close to town! After our long days out and about it was nice to come back and be able to throw some food on the grill and lounge on the couch. Although we don’t plan on returning to the area, I 10/10 recommend this space for anyone looking!

Taylor & Drew were fantastic host. They were responsive with the few questions we had. The place was perfect for our group. All of the beds were VERY comfortable and we all felt very much at home. It was also very clean upon our arrival. We will definitely be looking to book their property again in the future.

Great place to stay, just a 5 minute drive to all the shops or about a 10-15 minute walk. Close to a main road but super quiet. The house was very clean and in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend the place

Kathi’s Air B and B is our home away from home! We love staying here for so many reasons but most importantly because it truly feels like home - we always feel safe and comfortable here. Kathi is super responsive and always goes the extra mile for her guests. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Lake Placid!

Nicest bnb we have stayed at in placid! We had the grounds to ourselves and enjoyed sitting by the lake the first night before it rained the rest of the weekend. The place was cozy and the fireplace was nice for the rainy days. I appreciated the snacks and drinks in the room too!

Condo matches the pictures, but the view is far better than the pictures. Very comfortable space and open floor plan. Kitchen was well stocked, we cooked in a couple nights and had everything we needed to prep meals. Having three full bathrooms was great (we had 4 adults and two kids). Easy walk to the middle of town and all the restaurants/shops, but far enough away that it didn’t feel busy. Coffee on the balcony was an amazing way to start the day. We’ve been going to lake placid for 20+ years and have stayed many places - this is one of the best views we’ve had while still being right in the village. Highly recommended.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Kathy's! The place was very clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, and all linens were fresh. The location was very convenient to all that Lake Placid has to offer but also removed just enough to have some quiet time away from the bustle of all the shops. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Lake Placid in the future. I highly recommend!

This spot was so much bigger than we expected! It had everything we needed and it was soooo cozy! The walk to Lisa G’s was so short - it was amazing. The basement was awesome since we had kids and they had their own area to hang and everything was so quiet - we couldn’t hear each other or them through the walls or on different floors. It was very comfy, large, and the location was perfect!

Great experience, loved cross country skiing so conveniently located out the door.

My husband and I had a lovely stay and the host RJ made sure all our needs were met. We would love to come back in the summer and see some more of Lake Placid from RJ’s little piece of heaven.

We loved Neven’s unit for our weekend ski getaway. It’s the perfect location - close enough to walk to town, but far enough removed from the hustle and bustle. This was our second time staying in one of these units and we plan to stay here again next time we visit Lake Placid and to ski Whiteface.
