This house was Huge!, clean, multiple sinks, bathrooms. My favorite part was the MASSIVE kitchen! Not to mention the grill and Blackstone outside on the porch. Any cooking utensils that you might need they had it. tops grocery store was just 10 min away. It was very private, secluded. the crisp night adirondack are while you slept was perfect. The fire pit outside and wood provided was a nice bonus, not to mention the graciously left stuff for smores in the fridge. everybody loved it and not 1 complaint. We can't wait to go back and definitely will! reccomend 100000%

Thanks for sharing your home! It’s a peaceful and relaxing getaway, but also only a short drive to Lake Placid restaurant and shops. A very well stocked kitchen for those who enjoy cooking at home.

Lovely home in a lovely setting. The view is breathtaking and Barbara has outfitted the space woth everything you could possibly need. She is extremely thoughtful and personable. The area is great for hiking and outdoor activities but is also near Middlebury College and Burlington.

Wonderful stay! We enjoyed doing puzzles and exploring the nearby waterfall and lakes. The space was perfect, and we appreciated the opportunity to relax here.

Had a great week at Chad’s property. Felt right at home and had all of the amenities we needed for our family and dog. Close to downtown, plenty of space, clean and he was very easy to communicate with and fast to respond. Appreciate it!

Picture perfect stay! The cabin is “as-advertised” base on the photos and description. The location is quiet and serene. Majorie was super kind and helpful. She was available for our needs all time throughout the day. Highly recommend taking a canoe out on the lake and going for a swim across from the property. An easy 15 min paddle across will take you to some nice rock outcroppings with crystal clear water for a nice evening dip. Town is a short 10 min right for one night out for a good meal. Def recommend staying on this property!

Ted was the perfect host, being present, available, and responsive - I felt sure that IF we needed anything he would have been there to help out. The cabin is perfect for a little get-away. The ping pong table in the basement was an added bonus for a little family tournament. The location is peaceful - we didn't walk the grounds, but hope to be back to do so another time - and close to the town/shops/ski hill/etc. So much to do in the area! Thanks Ted!

The host is wonderful and warm. The cabin does offer true feel of Adirondack vintage cabin that has added a kitchen and bathroom. I would go back again.

We loved the beautiful setting and the waterfront access. This location has everything you need to escape city life and really enjoy nature and the real quiet of nature.

Our stay at this cabin was nothing short of magical! Meghan was an incredible host—she responded quickly and was so helpful with all of our questions before the trip. The cabin itself was stunning and perfectly located for easy drives to places like Lake Placid. Pictures do not do it justice. The property was breathtaking, with trails leading to creeks and ponds right on site. It felt like we had our own little nature escape. One of the loveliest touches was the handmade shampoos, conditioners, and bath gel—they smelled amazing and added such a personal feel to the experience. As a family of five from Miami, seeing snowfall was such a treat! The views were absolutely unbelievable, and even with the snow, the roads were always cleared, making travel stress-free. The playroom downstairs was a hit with our family—pool, TV, and a cozy space to gather and unwind. Plus, the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night's sleep. This place is an easy 100/10.

Michael’s place was perfect for our group of 8. The common space was comfortable and well-furnished. The cold temps did not allow us to enjoy the porch but in the warm weather it must be sublime! We made full use of the well-appointed kitchen. The little butler’s pantry was a great place to store non-perishable items so the kitchen counters remained clear. Each room had either an en suite bathroom or one right next door. Everyone loved the water pressure. We felt like we were away from it all but very accessible to town. Everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. You feel so connected to the outdoors. Great for hiking and coming back to a peaceful place to relax.

We loved our stay. My family frequently Lake Placid a few times a year, and we've always ever stayed downtown. This time, We had trouble securing an accommodation because of a hockey tournament. I'm so glad we did because we found the Cobble Mountain Lodge! for a couple of nights with my family it was a great deal. The private cabin with the bunk beds was definitely tight for the four of us, but we made it work and for the price, I wasn't complaining. They did a really great job with amenities and such a small space, including microwave, toaster, fridge, hot plate, utensils and dinnerware. The only bummer was having to wash dishes in the bathroom sink so I would bring paper plates. 👌 We were less than 15 minutes away from White Face which is the primary reason for our trip and so there was not a lot of time spent hanging out in our room. If you plan on having some downtime, just book the bigger room. We will definitely return!

Lovely, cosy cabin just outside of Lake Placid. Perfect for a couple days of hiking in the beautiful Adirondack mountains. Accommodation was just as described and the host was very proactive. Couldn't have asked for a better base for our lovely weekend.

This was my second year booking this property and I was very happy with my stay. Host is easy to reach with questions, and the house is warm and comfortable. Thanks again, see you next year

Fantastic spot! Meticulously maintained cabin that has everything you need. We were two families with kids and it worked out nicely. ‘Went in the winter, would be happy to come back again in the winter or in the summer or any season, it would be lovely any time of year!

Our stay here was wonderful! Very close to town within a short drive and only about 10 minutes to whiteface mountain! It was very peaceful and relaxing here. We truly enjoyed our stay. Our only thing to note was the stairs to the loft for our unit were very steep and you could not walk down them like a normal staircase. It took very careful navigation and we would not recommend that for dogs or small children.

This is an absolute gem among the woods and water. Peaceful is an understatement and serene doesn't quite do it justice. It's a place to step back, slow down and unplug from all your cares, worries and realities. You'll get the basic necessities and the time to unwind and relax. This is a well placed, well thought of and we'll out of the way home away from home. But in it's tranquility you'll not be far from the everyday needs of everyday life as town is a quick drive over the mountain. I highly recommend the Cochran cabins for a peaceful escape from your everyday life.

Perfect spot to enjoy everything the area had to offer. Walking distance to restaurants & beautiful mountain and lake views. Hosts had great recommendations for local spots!
