Jules hosted me very well. She’s proactive in communication and made me feel like home within few mins. Her place is spotless clean and if coming by car then is easy find the place otherwise a bit far and tricky to reach the place with public transport. Over all had a great experience!

We have just returned from a wonderful stay here. Our beautiful lodge was Middle Thorne, which was amazing, you had everything you could need and more, also spotlessly clean and private. Our garden was fenced and secure all round for our dog to run around. The hot tub was again very clean and relaxing after trips to the beach and walking. The location was ideal, a 15 minute walk to Braunton town where you will find numerous shops, coffee bars and pubs. Thank you Sarah for the Prosecco, biscuits, milk and dog biscuits upon our arrival, a very thoughtful touch. We would love to return soon, we could have stayed longer . 👍🐾❤️

Excellent central location with the bonus of free parking. Beautifully decorated internally and in a really interesting historical building. Wonderfully comfortable bed and lots of lovely Neal’s yard products to use. Great recommendations given for eateries (we’d highly recommend The Cornish Arms for dinner and Church Lane for breakfast). A lovely one night stay, thank you Jack and Iain!

I am unsure there is enough space for us to gush about our stay as much as we would like to - although, it was such an exceptional stay, that perhaps words alone would not be fit to articulate it. Our time at the B&B was brilliant - we arrived with very little planned, but in our first meeting with Gary we were able to quickly fill our weekend with lovely things to do from their recommendations. With every recommendation we followed, we knew we would come back one day to experience the B&B for longer, to explore the area more. We were pretty awestruck with the building and the garden (and the most wonderful dogs!), and the brilliantly decorated rooms, but the little things added so much more to the stay - the complementary breakfast, the conversations and catch ups with Phil and Gary , and the relaxed environment. All these things solidified that we needed to come back and stay again. The value is exceptional, the hosts are superb. Perfect.

This was an idyllic place to stay. Gorgeous old farmhouse, a few minutes walk from the coast path and spectacular views. Rachel and her partner were great hosts, really helpful with lots of local information. The room in the farmhouse was lovely, the claw foot bath a nice added touch. The breakfasts were really good and all in all, I can’t see how it could have been better. A perfect stay.

We had a lovely stay at Gareth's hotel - the perfect place to be based for attending a wedding at St Audries and exploring the Quantocks. Gareth was very accommodating when we wanted to check in later, the entire hotel was decorated really nicely and we had such a good night's sleep in the incredibly comfortable bed! What wasn't including on the listing is that the room has an ensuite and the price includes a delicious buffet breakfast. We'd definitely stay again!

Richard very kindly upgraded us for free to a larger room, which was wonderful, but caused a little confusion upon our arrival as all our instructions were for the original room, but Richard called me and explained everything very quickly! The room itself was clean and comfortable and well equipped with water, tea-making facilities and a little fridge, which was great, plus a fan, and laminated print-outs of all the info we needed for our stay. Lovely big comfy kingsize bed with good quality pillows. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was great! The free continental breakfast was excellent and much appreciated. We also tried the vegetarian cooked breakfast in the cafe downstairs and that was top quality! The code locks on the doors made coming and going super-easy, whatever the time of day or night - no keys to worry about! My only complaint is that the wifi wasn't brilliant, which made it hard to watch non-live stuff on the TV, but that was a minor gripe.

For a two star hotel, this is really well worth a visit. If I’m honest I wasn’t expecting a whole lot and from the outside it looks a little bit shabby, but it didn’t really matter I just needed a bed to stay as I was working in the area. However the upbeat quirky interiors, lovely friendly staff, spotlessly clean spaces made it a really nice stay. I had a bedroom on the top floor with a Seaview and the room even though basic was very clean and perfectly adequate. The breakfast room in the basement and all the common spaces have clearly had a lot of money and effort put into them in terms of decorating and painting and I had a lovely breakfast. Thank you!

Well the Gara Rock really lived up to expectation, truly was a 5 star stay. The facilities are amazing, we made great use of the spa and cinema room. Our room was beautiful, clean and the view is outstanding. The staff were so friendly and approachable, a big shout out to Amy in the spa who could not have done more for us, the epitome of above and beyond service and made the stay so enjoyable. The food was delicious and to a very high standard, the only little niggle was service was SLOW, which was a shame considering we were 1 of 3 parties eating. We can’t wait to come back already! Xx

Many thanks go out to Jodie & James. We had a fantastic 3 nights. Room 7 with the perfect view. Plenty of space in the room with a great outdoor space which was great for our dog to chill out in the sun 😎 We would highly recommend extended weekends stopping here. A great base for the surrounding area.

Luxury Queen room with Full Breakfast!

The Old Rectory is in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush fields and nature. It’s a perfect place to stay for rambling holidays or just to relax. This original Victorian building was great to explore its grand interior. Caroline was a lovely host and was very welcoming throughout our stay. There was also a lovely dog called Sam that greeted us on arrival! Every morning a cooked breakfast was served at your requested time with fresh tea and coffee. The spread of granola and other cereals was a great addition. Just to note (from staying in the green room) the bathroom and toilet facilities are not attached to the room- instead you leave your room and walk down a hall to them but you are in your own private wing of the house.

A family en-suite room features a spacious king-size bed and a double sofa bed. Neutral-colored walls complement the yellow accents on the bedding. Natural light enters through the window, and a bedside table with a lamp is positioned next to the larger bed.

Wonderful private and quiet place with gorgeous surroundings, very spacious room with spacious bathroom - sparkling clean! Lovely tea selection and super yummy fudge provided in the room as well. Great breakfast options and breakfast itself was delicious and filling to the max in wonderful old style kitchen setting and pottery. One tiny downside was that you could hear everything from the room next door. However, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back and are sorry to stay only for 1 night! Thank you Jane for great care and hospitality even during this difficult times ☺️

We came to Torquay to celebrate my birthday and had booked a stay at the Redcliffe Hotel, however once we got there we found there was no outdoor pool and that was the only reason we drove there. We got a refund and we had to find somewhere to stay quickly as it was already late afteroon; we found Debbie's guest house and immediately fell in love with it. I messaged Debbie to confirm we could go as it was so late and she replied immediately. When we got there we were greeted by Ian, who made us feel welcome and at home. He showed us around and was so friendly and chatty. We had a lovely stay, the room was so spacious, even had a mini fridge and the pool was amazing, just what I wanted! Both Debbie and Ian were always available and ready to give recommendations for attractions and food. Ian entertained us with some of his life stories and cooked us an incredible breakfast. I am grateful we found this guest house last minute, it made my birthday so special and we'd definitely go back!
