Cottage vacation rentals in Nordland

We arrived late at night after a 4 hour drive from Narvik. The next day Cato showed me how to fill and heat the hottub and even took it upon himself to get it up to temp while we were out grocery shopping. That night we enjoyed gazing at the aurora borealis dancing above our heads in the hottub. A couple days later it got rainy and extremely windy preventing us from heating the hottub. As compensation Cato offered us use of his sauna and to take a swim in the sea, which we gladly did. He also gave us a whole cod for free from his fisherman's friend Tom which we used to make typical Norwegian dishes. Cato was extremely helpful and kind, he replied within minutes whenever we needed help or had any questions and he was full of amazing recommendations, as to where to hike and which towns and restaurants to visit. Towards the end of our stay it snowed a lot turning the surroundings into winter wonderland. We were very lucky to see all sides of Norway including the Northern lights!

Super nice place. House is very clean and lots of space for eight people. Very large terrace with super view to the fjord and mountains. Communication with Tove-Maria went smoothly. She answered quickly, if we had questions. We had very nice week.

Lisa's house was really nice and even much better and bigger than the photos expected. Bathrooms were big and luxurious. Communication was quick and smooth.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here on the Lofoten! The house was so authentic and full of charm, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. It was the perfect mix of comfort and local character. One of our favorite moments was relaxing by the fireplace in the evenings—it added such a cozy and warm touch to our stay, especially after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The contact with the host was excellent—she was always available and gave us fantastic recommendations for local excursions, which made our trip even more memorable. The stunning views and peaceful atmosphere made it all the more special. Honestly, this was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

The place was better than on the pictures. It was a house with soul and history and it was like going back on time . At the same time, there was modern comfort with everything necessary in the kitchen, two heat pumps and bathroom with heated floors. Sven was very helpful and responded quickly to questions. Highly recommend!

Arild was a great host. The contact was great and very friendly. The house is in a great location to explore Lofoten. There are also beautiful hiking opportunities nearby. The city with its shopping facilities can also be reached in a few minutes, yet you are very private and quiet. The view from the balcony is also great. daa's house is older but already partly modernized. We didn't miss anything and we immediately felt comfortable. We will be happy to come back.

This is a cosy, quiet place with a view of the sea, and an excellent place to view the northern lights. The place is warm, has a nice fire, comfortable beds and a good kitchen. There are excellent local hikes nearby and the place is a good base to explore the central part of Lofoten from. Thanks Kristin for sharing your cottage.

Our accommodation was really great. I believe it’s actually the best choice to stay in this area because the house is located right between the mountains, making it perfect for watching the sunset or sunrise. It’s a fantastic location. We were very happy with the accommodation. We were a bit complicated at the beginning, but Christina was very helpful and solution-oriented, and everything worked out really well. We had an excellent few days spent in this home! The views are phenomenal and the house is warm and cozy on snowy/rainy days. We loved playing games and listening to music in the family room, and the sauna was a real treat after skiing all day! We look forward to coming back for more Senja skiing in the future. Thank you!

Hermann's place was absolutely beautiful. The surroundings and the beach were amazing and the cabin was perfect. It was very warm and cosy and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and we especially enjoyed meeting Hermann. You can see the northen lights from the property too! Thank you for having us to stay

Very nice ambiance. Unfortunately, we had no opportunity to visit the restaurant due to lack of time. Right next door, it has a 9 hole golf course.

My grandparents stayed at the house for three weeks and they were super satisfied! They saw the northern lights several times and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings around the house! Everything in the house was as it should be - and they would love to come again!
