Beautiful, cozy cottage located on owner's property. Surrounded by lakes (however not on one), world-class golf, towering pine trees and amazing restaurants and shopping. You will have the cottage to yourself. There is a private bedroom with a queen bed, also a full bath. The living room sofa pulls out to sleep two more. We are walking distance to Pequot Lakes, and just a 10 minute drive to Breezy Point or Nisswa for an amazing shopping experience. We welcome friendly, fully vetted dogs.

Our cabin is nestled in a wooded area & is very private. 15 minutes from 3 different towns with Wadena being the biggest. There's a queen bed on the main floor bedroom and a queen bed in the loft bedroom. WIFI/ cable television are available. Can sleep with the windows open or use the air conditioning. Outdoor pets are welcome, no pets inside please. You will have a view of the pond & we see deer on a daily basis. We will supply bedding, bath towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups & silverware.

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Loved staying here with our two young children. A really well done unit with excellent craftsmanship and detail. Had everything listed and your private little beach. It was a great place to stay and somewhere we would definitely come back to.

Great place on the lake! Only wished we were at the cabin more to enjoy the lake and all the amenities it has to offer. There were a couple of minor things I had reached out to Matthew regarding & he was responsive and considerate. We would stay here again. I recommend you stay as well. We don’t have small children, but the place appears very kid & teen friendly with lots of games and water activities.

I can’t recommend this cabin enough! The location is perfect. It’s very remote since the lot is large and surrounded by trees however you are a short drive to town which has everything you could possibly need. The cabin itself is stunning. Beautifully decorated. Great furniture. You can tell every detail was curated and vetted. Bonus: lots of cool wildlife! I’ll be coming back for sure.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! The cabin is beautiful and the lake is gorgeous as well. It’s not as private as we thought it might be, but all neighbors on the lake are very kind and respectful. The fishing was awesome too! The driveway was a little steep and tight in a crew cab pickup, but you can make it in!
