Vacation rentals in Montmoreau

In the 40+ places I have stayed on Airbnb, Steph’s is one of the very best. A huge and private space, beautifully and artistically decorated and furnished, full of quirky decor, and the most lovely welcome. From freshly cut flowers from Steph’s garden, arranged in a vase, a little posy of fresh herbs in a vase in the kitchen, dinner and breakfast for your first night/morning provided, big fluffy towels, amazing shower, the list goes on. The outdoor space is divine. I spent a lazy afternoon watching swallows dipping in and out of the pool and butterflies everywhere. The sweeping views of the valley are so calming. It was unseasonably cold when we were there and Steph very thoughtfully messaged to check we had enough firewood (we did, so well stocked). Steph & Dave were amazing hosts, gave us complete privacy but so friendly and easy to chat to when we saw them when we were coming and going. Perfect for couples or for young families, I really hope we get the opportunity to return.

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). Thank you Derk and family, we had a great time!

Le studio est très fonctionnel et nous avons rapidement trouvé nos marques comme à notre maison. Seul petit bémol : la cour aménagée en espace détente est partagée avec un gite, ce qui peut apporter des nuisances... Tout dépend du comportements des occupants. Pour notre part, tout s'est bien passé et nous remercions Aurélie pour sa gentillesse.

It is a really wonderful place. The house is in perfect condition and the kitchen is stocked very well to cook whatever you want. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot to hang out there and enjoy the warm weather. So there is really nothing to say negative about the house! It is a fantastic place to give you lots of privacy even if the house is crowded. The one thing which gave us a little hick-up was the question about the deposit which is not mentioned in the terms on Airbnb, or I was not able to see it! Anyway after consultation it seems to be legitimate that a deposit can be asked for! It would just be nice to know from the beginning. Even knowing from the beginning it would have not changed my decision to rent the house. It is an amazing beautiful house and I would definitely rent it again!

This was one of the most amazing, if not the most amazing, air bnb experiences I have ever had. First, the location is incredible. You feel like you were placed in the middle of an ethereal countryside with nothing but rolling hills, the sound of birds, a gentle breeze and an occasional hello from the hosts smiling sweet dog Ella. Second, the house itself is exactly like the pictures on the listing, if not more beautiful in person. You can tell Sara has worked as a designer because the interior decor is stunning. Everything is so comfortable and clean and forces you into a state of relaxation immediately. Lastly, Sara herself is an angel. She will do anything in her power to make sure your stay is as peaceful and stress free as possible. I have never had a more helpful yet non-invasive host on Airbnb. If you are looking for a magical retreat into the gorgeous French countryside I couldn’t recommend this place more. I would plan a trip back to France simply for this air BnB. 1000/10!!

Superbe séjour dans le gîte de Catherine et Clive. Le gîte est entièrement équipé et la décoration est très soignée. Les extérieurs autour du gîte, la piscine et la vue sont magnifiques. Tout est fait pour passer une semaine au calme dans une région magnifique. Les hôtes sont très accueillants mais aussi très discrets. Le panier d'accueil est très appréciable. Excellente expérience !

Superbe maison isolée. Les chambres sont très belles et bien décorées. Le jardin est très agréable avec une belle piscine, une grande table et une belle vue sur le village. L’intérieur est très bien aménagé avec 2 cuisines et donc de nombreuses vaisselles. Emplacement isolée très calme avec un supermarché à 5 minutes. Très bonne communication ! Je recommande.

Logement au top🤗, une vue incroyable, il dispose de vraiment tous le nécessaire dont ont peut avoir besoin...Aurélie et vraiment très charmante et agréable. je recommande a 200% cette location.
