Family-friendly vacation rentals in Montecito

We loved the house and the location and enjoyed our stay. Our group of 12 friends, the max the house can accommodate, stayed for three nights. All of us had comfortable beds, all bedrooms have nice décor. The living room is large with comfy sofas and chairs. The dining table could seat 12 so it was great for all of us to sit around and relax. The house and kitchen were well equipped. The only items we had to ask for were extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels which were promptly delivered by the onsite caretaker. We enjoyed the pool table, and the library in the loft but didn’t get time to soak in the hot tub on the back deck. The property is surrounded by trees and greenery. The site and house are rustic but very comfortable. There are two full bathrooms, and both are upstairs. A half-bath downstairs would have been great, but it was only a minor inconvenience. Location is very convenient - just a 10-minute drive from Ojai downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Kim is a very nice, responsible host. This is the second time we stayed at her house. The location is quiet and convenient. The house is spacious and clean. We will come back again!

Our stay at this magical home brought endless surprises. The land is full with citrus and native trees, surrounded by chirping birds. The overlooking view of the cliffs and tres from the front porch chairs brought so many happy signs of life, huge hawks, light from the sun, and glowing stars. The home itself is filled with handmade tapestries, colorful paintings, and unusual treasures that invite relaxation and play. The beds and bedding were super cozy and allowed for deep rest. The kitchen is appointed with everything you would need to cook, though the restaurants in Ojai were a short drive away. I made lasting memories in this unusual and welcoming home! And, Catie was beyond helpful. She worked with us our requests in ways that showed how much she genuinely cares about her guests. I felt so taken care of! We will return again to this place that inspired us to reconnect with ourselves and Mother Earth

I cannot say enough great things about both the home and the information and responsiveness that Todd & Jodi provided during our stay. We were fortunate to find their place available at the last minute and could not have been more pleased with the experience. Home was beautiful and on a great piece of land, peaceful, quiet and convenient. We felt right at home, almost better than right at home, which was the whole purpose of our visit. Beds, bathrooms, kitchen and all the accessories of the home were top notch. All the recommendations and help in finding last minute winery visits and dinner reservations were incredibly helpful as well. We will be back.

Chase's home was beautiful. It was very clean and had everything needed to make our stay welcome. Check in was super easy, and I felt safe while being there, since I could call the neighbor if needed. Chase was very quick to respond to my messages. The beach was also just down the street from the house. I would definitely recommend Chase's home and would stay there again.

Such a relaxing, peaceful and beautiful place to stay. We had a lovely breakfast on the patio followed with enjoying the swings, zip line and hammocks out on the grassy area.

My husband and I stayed for a short business trip and absolutely loved the place. It had a cute interior and exterior, and we enjoyed seeing the sea lions right across the street playing in the water. The front and back patios were relaxing, and the bed was comfortable. Couldn’t ask for much more! And price was reasonable for the area. We’ll definitely look at staying at one of their properties next time we’re in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Dawn’s sweet downtown cottage. She has created a darling, fully equipped hideaway within walking distance of State Street, and if you’d rather ride a bike around, she provides them too!!! The comfortable backyard space was a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine after a full day of walking around Santa Barbara.

Very cute and quiet place. Couch was comfy and engulfs you when you sit down, loved it! A little confusing when coming in. We arrived at dark, didn’t know which door was the main entrance as there were a few doors to pass before finding the one with the keyless pad on it. That door takes you into a bedroom rather than the main part of the home. I wouldn’t suggest staying here with people you aren’t familiar or comfortable with as the only bathroom is in the middle of the house in a bedroom. So anyone sleeping in the back bedroom or the living room, has to enter the next bedroom to use the bathroom which could disturb the people in that room. Checking out at 10am was rushed when there were 4 girls trying to shower and share 1 bathroom and get packed and out of there to avoid an extra cost. I felt a little stressed that morning. Bring a thicker blanket if you sleep cold. Quits on the bed weren’t warm and my kids and I were cold. Otherwise, cute and clean home, would stay again.

What an amazing little beach home. We loved Ian's home. It was stocked with everything we could need, the home was clean and cozy and had an ocean view from upstairs. The neighborhood is amazing and there are several charming restaurants just a block away from the house. Highly recommend.

Jamie’s cottage was so inviting and comfortable. It was perfect in every way. And Jamie and Billy couldn’t have been nicer to us. Great folks; great place. Our new go-to place in Ventura!

We absolutely love this little ranch! This was our third year in a row bringing our boys here, and every time it feels like coming home. The property is peaceful, beautifully kept, and has just the right touch of rustic charm. It’s the perfect place to slow down and make sweet memories as a family. Nan and Conrad are incredibly kind and thoughtful—truly top-notch hospitality. They go above and beyond to make sure every stay is comfortable and welcoming. We’re so grateful for this special place and already looking forward to planning our next trip! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

This was our second time staying at the casita, and Jeanne is a wonderful host! It truly felt like coming home. She had coffee, a delicious pound cake and scones all waiting for us as a treat during our stay. We had beautiful weather and were able to enjoy having breakfast and lunch on the patio, with joyful birdsong all around us. This place is a gem - definitely recommend staying there if your travels take you to the Santa Ynez Valley!

This was a fantastic place to stay. It was off the main street which made it very quiet. Very walkable. It was easy to get around with a stroller and a toddler. Would definitely stay here again.

Small but efficient for us two. Great location in Carpinteria. We usually camp at the state beach but opted not to this year. Had everything we needed. Pool and spa were great. Complex was peaceful and other residents and office staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking in gated lot and the spots had plenty of room for our truck and there were bike racks inside the parking lot for locking up our bikes that we took. We only used our vehicle once it was too dark for bike riding, otherwise we biked or walked. Husband fished everyday for several hours while I got to sleep in, relax, watch tv, or walk up the street for shopping. Farmers Market on Thursday was great for buying fresh fruits and veggies and flowers.

We thoroughly enjoyed this sweet town of Carpenteria and Pam and Paul’s place was a wonderful place to enjoy it. The beds were very comfortable and was accurate in the pictures. We didn’t have a car and thoroughly enjoyed walking the town, beach area and salt marsh. Very quaint and picturesque setting. We loved seeing the Amtrak California Surfliner train and platform for people to board. On another visit we hope to explore more of the coast via the train as it snugs the coastline. There are multiple stops during the day and seems a fun way to do day trips elsewhere when having more time. Thanks for a great stay!

Hilary’s home was wonderful. Great location just minutes away from downtown Solvang. The home was well stocked and the gourmet kitchen was wonderful to cook in. The kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the views and coolbreeze on the pool deck. It was super relaxing! We loved the 2 pianos in the home which we enjoyed playing a few tunes on. We did a zip line tour which was only minutes away from the home. Multiple fruit trees and flowers enhanced the manicured property. Our doggy enjoyed the lawn but did pick up ticks on our walk around the neighborhood. We were able to brush them off him. Thankfully he’s on tick and flea prevention. Overall we had a fantastic time and the kids were sad to leave. We could’ve used a few more days! Thank you Hilary for sharing your beautiful home with us.

This cottage is so special. If you are looking for a getaway to reset and connect to nature this is for you. It was so nice to be tucked away and close to nature yet close enough for short drive to town/activities. Jennifer was a great host, so accommodating and responsive. We went to a few of her recommendations in the manual and enjoyed them all. You can tell how much love goes into this property. It was a very peaceful, special stay, we would be thrilled to go again.

Joanie was a great host. We were ghosted by our original reservation and customer service was able to get us with Joanie. Joanie was extremely responsive and everything matched with the description on the listing. I'm extremely grateful with Joanie and her home was great. My husband and 2 children were extremely comfortable and relaxed during our stay. Thank you!

We enjoyed our week stay at Frank's place. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect! Easy access to the beach and walkable to many great restaurants. We walked to the nearby Amtrak train station to take a quick 15 minute ride to Santa Barbara. Frank provides beach chairs, umbrella, table, cooler, ect for a relaxing day at the beach. Frank was a great host.

Michael was an absolute amazing host and very responsive. I highly recommend his place to anyone who wants to be in a beautiful environment.
