Vacation rentals with a kayak in Monte Rio

I highly recommend Harman's place! Harman was very responsive in all our communications and very detailed and helpful. The location was great: on the Russian River with your own dock and 3 complementary kayaks, vests, and oars were available during our stay. The place was also so close to a playground, downtown, including restaurants and a grocery store. Third, the separated upper/lower floor was perfect our group of 8! The highlight was the expansive deck overlooking beautiful trees in every direction, the comfy patio furniture and outdoor dining set, and the hot tub off the primary bedroom. There is a spacious backyard, with a cute arbor leading to fruit trees (lemons were available during our stay) were you could have a nice picnic. The river dock is beyond this area by going down some stairs (which were under construction during our stay). The inside of the home was organized, well-labeled, and a had a lot of nice touches, like throw blankets, a dog bed, and a fireplace.

As others have written, this is really a lovely place. We were there in late July when the weather was beautiful and the river was fairly high. We were able to swim and kayak right from the little beach below the house. It was a perfect place to get away with our 2 adult children, with plenty of space to spread out and lots for everyone to do. We had no problem going up and down the steps, but it's not a great space for anyone with physical challenges. Healdsburg is always a special place to spend time and we would stay in this house again for sure.

We had an amazing stay at this vacation home in Guerneville! The space was spotless and had everything we needed for a fun and relaxing getaway. We especially enjoyed the amenities—pool table, ping pong, jacuzzi, and a fantastic selection of board games to keep us entertained. The kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies, making meal prep a breeze. The house itself was very spacious, and even our dogs had a great time exploring. Our host, Stephen, was fantastic—super responsive and accommodating, making the experience even better. For the price, this place is a great deal, and we’re already looking forward to coming back during the warmer months! Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed at this property many times. It’s feels like a home away from home, and the host responds immediately to my questions. I intend to continue choosing this place in my future stays.

This place was fantastic for the four of us to have a peaceful New Years Eve trip away. You are right in a redwood grove, with a lot to do right nearby. The place had a really well stocked kitchen if you want to cook (great flat top grill). The hot tub is fantastic, and the couch/tv area was great for a movie night. If you want to explore Russian river, this is as good as it gets. We walked across the street for nine holes of stunning golf. A 20 minute drive got us to Jenner to explore the dramatic coastline, 15 minute drive to a state park for hiking, and 30 minutes to russian river's brewery. Also there is a coffee shop just across the first hole of the course, which is a rare convenience. If we had 6 guests this would have been really incredible value.

We had an amazing stay at Jeff's place! We took a long weekend with our family and our close friends (4 adults, 1 toddler). I was AMAZED at how kid-friendly the house was; the first thing that caught my eye was plug covers! My son LOVED "his" room. I'm used to bringing everything we need when traveling with kids, but they literally had it all -- toys, books, kids plates & silverware, a step stool, a potty! Cannot speak higher of this location for families for young kids. It was also fully stocked for adults to relax as well! We easily cooked all our meals and hung out by the fireplace. An easy walk to the river and convenient outings. We look forward to returning next year!

Beautiful little cottage. Beach close by, clean, nice linens, bathroom was a little cold but there was a small electric heater to warm it. Loved the added skylights. Had a wonderful couples massage that was recommended. Would definitely stay again!! Beautiful area!

The place is even more beautiful, private, quiet, and idyllic than it looks. And Marianna is incredible. She went above and beyond when we faced a challenge (non Airbnb-related) while staying here. We will definitely return. The wildlife at the river is beautiful and its own nature tv. You can’t see in the pic, but the fire pit, outdoor dining table, and hot tub face directly onto the river - stunning. And the cafe, beach, and grocery options are great. We stayed at Rascal’s Flat for four days to celebrate our birthdays, just my wife and I. However it is equipped for people with dogs and children. Make sure your first time at the property is during the day! The road up is not that long but twisty and narrow. We absolutely loved it and had a wonderful stay! Would go back again!

We had a great time at the river cottage! The backyard and garden are amazing. The location is perfect for exploring the area. Adam is an excellent, responsive host and had really great recommendations for the area.

We had a great stay at the Waterfall house. The location can't be beaten; it's secluded, the views are great and it is within walking distance from all of the Jenner hot spots :) Baked goods and drinks from Cafe Aquatica were the perfect way to start our mornings. We also had a great time kayaking on the river with the seals! The kitchen was stocked well enough for all of our needs as a group of 5, and the porch and deck spaces were great for hanging out. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable but it was good enough for our needs. The other beds were all very comfortable and we slept well! The hosts at the Jenner Inn were super responsive and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again!

What a fantastic place! My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend and couldn't have been happier. The cabin is cute, cosy, lovely and very functional. It has beautiful old world charm with modern amenities like nest heating. The deck is large and was wonderful sitting by the firepit at night. The view of the river and the redwoods was captivating. The neighbourhood is quiet and lovely to walk around. Everything we needed was there and Amber was a delight to deal with and very communicative. We want to come back in summer time and think we found our favourite Russian River hideaway.

Our family of four with two kids (ages 10 and 6) had a wonderful stay. The house is cozy and perfectly well-appointed. We loved the hot tub and being surrounded by redwoods. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and this was one of the best. We definitely felt at home. The kids loved the bunk room and had no problem sleeping in there-it was not too cold even with rainy weather. We just used a space heater to warm it up before they went to sleep. There is a fantastic bakery five minutes in both directions and it’s close to the ocean, the river, and the awesome little towns. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful spot! Comfortable beds, clean kitchen and bathroom, lovely deck, easy river access and all the toys. I very much appreciated the EV charger!! Thora was helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to return!

If you are looking for a cozy space where you can wake up, walk down a few flights of stairs and be in the water, this is it. It is clean, cozy and wonderful. They have one kayak, which we used and appreciated (bring a second kayak so you can cruise around together - or some inner tubes). The only challenge is parking. There is one parking spot and our Tahoe was sticking out into the road a bit (we almost drove off the cliff trying to make it work). We highly recommend.

The absolute cutest little place! Felt like home away from home and the location is superb. Felt like you were one with Mother Nature in this cozy little escape. Amazing host!

This is our second time staying here. We love it. In fact on this last trip I proposed to my girlfriend--she said yes! This is our happy place for sure!

Top notch all around! This little cottage has beautiful views, is perfectly located on a quiet neighborhood that is super close to anything you might want. If that isn’t enough, the house is beautifully appointed and decorated, with comfortable beds, top-notch hot tub, and a kitchen that truly has anything you need. We like to cook and we often feel frustrated at other AirBnBs, but at Mystic Cottage there was everything we needed and more! Aaaand to top it all, Alex was not only extra nice in our exchanges, with fast responses when we had questions, but he also left us a welcome note and bottle of bubbles on arrival. 100% recommend!

Our family of three had a very relaxing stay at Otis’s place. It was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated. Flexible check-in was especially appreciated for our little one who was eager to hit up the river. The kayaks and inflatables were so much fun! We used the kitchen and bbq for most meals with no issues. Making s’mores with the propane fire pit under the fairy lights was magical. We appreciated the proactive communication and very clear instructions for the cabin. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Thanks, Otis!
