House vacation rentals in Mission District, San Francisco

Very homey and welcoming. Family enjoyed celebrating time together in all spaces of the house, especially the back patio where our young child made believe on the well-designed pirate ship. Friendly, kind host. We walked to adorable Rockridge and BART many times. Highly recommended.

A group of lifelong friends and I meet once a year for a long weekend to catch up, decompress, and spend time together. We chose San Francisco this year and after hunting on AirBnB we stumbled across this estate on JAR Farms. The host Nikki was proactive, helpful, and responsive. We arrived on Wednesday and drove to thru the gate into a lush oasis. The pictures on the listing didn't do the property justice. We arrived at the guest house to a welcome gift of wine, local honey, and snacks. We were a group of 6 adults and the guest house was cozy yet a perfect size for a reunion of friends. We were given a tour of the property showing us the boat house/beach, grand staircase to the bay overlook, the pool house (pool and hot tub), gardens, bee hives, and the many trails on the property. The mornings we hiked Monahan Trail at the adjacent Old St. Hillary's Preserve. In the afternoons we enjoyed the hot tub and a nice bbq dinner. Perfect weekend! HIGHLY recomended. Will be returning!

Had an excellent stay with our family. Will is one of the best airbnb hosts we have ever had and would stay again at this home or any other home he hosts without hesitation. The cactus home is luxurious and has amazing amenities like heated bathroom floors, great outdoor space with pool and hot tub, and a well equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The deck and view were so beautiful. The home was spacious, clean and well stocked. The location was perfect for the places we wanted to visit and the neighborhood was quiet. We already want to go back!

Wow - we had an amazing stay and loved Job's beautiful home. The photos barely capture the incredible views. 180 degrees views of Mt. Tam all the way down to the Bay - truly on top of world. Pool was bigger than expected, warm water, great covered porch, VERY nice pool house/bedroom & bath. All beds were super comfortable, everything sparkling clean and living room was such a great and comfy area to watch movies or just look at the view with a good book. Kitchen is outfitted (and labeled) with everything you need. Very close to San Anslemo downtown - which is filled with great lunch spots, coffee shops. So much to do in Marin and this is centrally located (note a steep driveway but we had no issues.) Can't think of a single improvement Job could make. I left something behind and he responded that day that he would ship back to me. One of our most favorite Airbnbs ever. THANK YOU!

Fabulous trip! We were greeted warmly by Jana and settled easily into the spaces of this large character home on a quiet cul de sac. It worked perfectly for our group of four. We loved the peaceful feeling of being on the water and the nearby pathways along the bay; it's lovely to sit outside to read and sip something. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it is very well-equipped. We got in some great hikes and meals at Mt. Tam, San Rafael, San Anselmo, Fairfax and Pt. Reyes as well as a SFMOMA day in the city. A wonderful location! Don't hesitate.

Nelson was super responsive and helpful, the space is beautiful, all the amenities were great, and my friends and I had the best time for my birthday weekend!

I love this place. My favorite Airbnb to date. It’s more beautiful in person. They have everything you can think of, very accommodating. He even let us check in early. I love this place. We will definitely stay again. And Kenny is so friendly!

Great location. Tons of restaurants. Easy walk to the BART. Great view from the deck. Beds were comfortable A lot of nice extras in the kitchen (eg olive oil spices etc) I’d stay there again for sure

If you plan to sight see the city then only stay here if you are strong willed otherwise, you may have a hard time leaving the extremely comfy bed each morning or you may find yourself spending way too much time in the amazing sauna. It’s also possible that you decide the rooftop garden, with its stunning colors and hummingbird resident, rival any park in the city. If you think your need for food will drive you out, think again because you will be greeted with home made baked goods so delicious you would expect them to have come from a European bakery! So, think very carefully and make an informed decision!! Should you decide you have the mental fortitude to resist locking yourself away in this cozy yet high-end retreat for the duration of your stay, you will find no shortage of walkable things to do and places to eat. If you happen to enjoy Pho then I highly encourage you to make the trek to Pho 2000. Don’t expect fancy—just delicious!!

Staying here was so nice and easy. Host made check in secure and easy which is not always the case. Very nice space and extremely clean. Great location for us. Walkable coffee/food locations and not a lot of through traffic. Private outdoor patio was nice to enjoy as well to get some fresh air during our stay and not be inside all the time. Thank you! Will definitely keep you in mind for out next trip

The apartment was perfect for my needs—visiting family nearby. It was comfortable, sunny, clean, and private, with all the amenities I needed and more. Working with Tyler was easy and pleasant. I walked every morning to the heart of Glen Park (which has a BART station if you need it). The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, with famous SF hills. I’ll stay there again, and recommend it.

Blair was an amazing host, and the place itself was beautiful, felt clean, and was perfect for 6 adults to spread out and have some privacy. There were enough bathrooms and linens for everyone and then some, which I really appreciate. The location was perfect. It's only a 15-min walk to the Academy of Science, and a 2-min walk from a public transit station. Most importantly, it was in a part of SF that felt safe and clean, even into the night. The parking spot was such a welcome luxury. There were plenty of amenities, and the kitchen was by far the best airbnb kitchen we've ever cooked in. All-clad pans, a Wolf range, and Wustof knives-it was more like cooking at home rather than having to cook on some of the really sketchy pans/kitchens that I've known AirBnBs to have. We'd love to stay here again, it really was such a good experience and Blair really has rehabilitated my hesitancy to rent from AirBnB again after a few not ideal rentals. Couldn't be happier with our experience :)

Great escape! Peaceful and renewing. Home was clean and well maintained. Host thoughtful and informative. Definitely will return when needing a break from the real world.

Russell’s place is magical! Incredibly well equipped (in fact the most well equipped one I’ve stayed in ever), great views over Dolores Park, clean and safe. There are very few places of such a high standard - this is highly recommended. Russell was responsive, kind and helpful with package deliveries, and offered lots of suggestions for the area. Top host.

The apartment was spacious and beautifully presented. The owner has carefully through what visitors will need and so it was very easy to get settled in. He was always very quick to respond to my messages and very pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend this 'gem' in the heart of Castro. We will definately be back again.

I’d recommend an upgrade to the WiFi, but short of that … the property was perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Whitney and Dan’s Mish Mish was a perfect landing spot for us and our first big road trip with our toddler. They had all the little things you need for littles, while plenty of nice plus ups around the space for adults, like plenty of caffeine in the form of nespressos. Don’t sleep on Whitney’s reccos either! Great people, great space, and particularly nice if you have a little in toe. Also: another plus is that they have great taste in books around the place that might pique your curiosity.

We love Carly’s Airbnb as repeat guests and will be back again!

A tremendous place to stay-- made every aspect of my trip easy, took out a lot of the stress. Plus, Angelo was super friendly and helpful throughout-- I only wish I could have hung out with him more! Would absolutely stay here again.
