Cabin vacation rentals in Massanutten

We enjoyed our stay in Shenandoah! Corey was extremely responsive amd helped us a lot! The games Cabin is a plus and we enjoyed a laid nack stay! We used the hot tub as it was super clean! We'd happily recommend the place and revisit!

Lea’s place was phenomenal, I highly recommend this stay and Lea as a host. Amenities were great, the place was clean, and if we’re back down that way, we’ll for sure be visiting again.

Great spot for our family of six. Plenty of space for the kids and dogs to roam. After hiking the hot tub was a big hit. Easy access to SNP and caverns. River access lot was great for fishing but there was an experience with a neighbor. Be mindful of the white posts that are near the sign on the river lot for fox creek lodge. The posts don’t go all the way to the water but those posts denote separate property although there is no sign saying so. When my son was fishing three feet inside that on the rocks in the water, the very vocal neighbor came down to the road and threatened to call the cops on us and yelled pretty aggressively as he continued to walk towards us. It seemed like a strange escalation on his part when we immediately got my son on the other side of the post as soon as he yelled that it was private property. Just a note of caution, as we didn’t go down to the river after that because the guy left us feeling a little unsettled. No fault on this Airbnb at all.

We had a really nice time at the cabin. Everything was laid out very nicely and was ready for us the moment we arrived. The space is beautiful and right on the lake. It was extremely peaceful to sit in the large screened deck and hang out with the stunning lake in view. Hope to stay here again some day!

Ray's cabin was a perfect place to celebrate my husband's birthday! We started with a Shenandoah trail wine tour and came back to enjoy the sunset in the hot tub with a few of our close friends. Ray was proactive and even personally called me to ensure we were ready for the stay. There was even a birthday banner hung inside for the special occasion! Everything was clean and looked just like the photos. The game room was a hit towards the end of the night with basketball and foosball table! We will be back again for sure! thank you so much, Ray!

We had an amazing stay after a long day of travel and attending a wedding! The home is immaculately well kept and beautifully updated and designed. The driveway and road leading to the home, while steep and tight in spots, was also well maintained and easily traveled with 4WD. Thanks, we’ll certainly be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was beautifully maintained, very clean, and offered so many thoughtful amenities that made our visit comfortable and relaxing. The beds were cozy, the outdoor space was inviting, and the overall setup was perfect for our needs. The kitchen, while functional and well-kept, had limited countertop space and a smaller selection of cooking supplies than we’re used to, but it worked fine for simple meals. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return!

Very comfortable and quiet place! We had a relaxing time here and chose this place for its proximity to skyline drive and hiking in the national park. The kitchen is decently stocked for cooking, and we loved the personal touch of the fine pottery dish-ware made by Alan himself. Highly recommend for the hot tub as well!

Josh and Heather’s Nordic escape was exactly as advertised. In fact, it was even better! As soon as we walked in we were taken away by how spacious and at home we felt. It was the peaceful getaway we needed and worth every dollar. It was exceptionally clean too!

We loved our stay at the Hobbit House! We stayed as a couple with pets and appreciated the peaceful and natural surroundings with birds, deer, and bunnies. The home is incredibly unique with loads of charm so you’ll feel like you’re really in a JRR Tolkien novel. We appreciated the friendliness and responsiveness of the hosts, who attended quickly to all of our questions. Good location 15 minutes from the National Park and all the beauty of the region, including charming towns and lush vineyards. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We stayed at Naked Creek Cabin in May 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home backs up to the Shenandoah National Park and sits near the top of a hill. It was so relaxing to sit on the front porch in the mornings and enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to the birds. Evenings were also enjoyable while sitting on the front porch and enjoying a glass of wine with a few nibbles while listening to the frogs in the background. The house was equipped with everything we needed. A major grocery is about a twenty-minute drive away that has everything you would want. It was also nice to be able to bring our dog along as well. This is a lovely home and was a very relaxing stay!

I just spent 5 amazing days at Jeremy’s place and honestly, everything was perfect. The space is clean, cozy, and exactly as described (if not better!). You can tell a lot of thought and care went into making it welcoming and comfortable. Jeremy was a fantastic host—super responsive, helpful, and respectful of privacy. Whether you're looking to relax, explore, or just enjoy a peaceful escape, this spot is ideal. I wouldn’t change a thing and would 100% stay again. Highly recommend!

this place was great, bigger and comfier than the photos looked, even had a garage for drying out our wet backpacking gear, the yard was enormous and the river was beautiful!

We had an amazing time! My daughters truly loved the place. We enjoyed everything the place has to offer from fire pit to hot tub to game room, and more!!!

I had such a lovely stay at Viktar’s place! The cabin felt private and peaceful, just what we needed to unwind. The sauna for two was a highlight and made the entire trip better. The hot tub was spacious, jets work really well, perfect to relax after a long day of driving. I especially loved the swings with the mountain view, it’s a nice touch for a quiet moment with coffee. Everything was clean and cozy, the fact that they allow pets was a big plus for us. The whole setup made it easy to relax with lots of games and plenty of room to rest!

Our family of six adults enjoyed Hannah’s home so much. It was a great place to relax after day hikes in the Shenandoah National Park. The home is just as described - comfortable and spacious indoors - and beautiful views from the wraparound porch and fire pit area.

Comfortable, beautiful, peaceful place. It rained this AM and all I could hear were the sounds of nature. No traffic. Deer wonder the property, and birds are abundant; listened to 7 different types just from the front porch. The pool was a nice bonus after a hike. It’s not a far drive from DC to serenity. Great stay.

This was an amazing and beautiful cabin! The cabin was very spacious and was perfect for what we needed. Owners were very proactive and responsive and communicative. I appreciated that there were no surprises and if anything came up, they would be able to respond in a timely manner. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place. Super helpful hosts. Totally worth a stay! Place is close to the Shenandoah NP entrance and simultaneously not close enough to let go of the basic amenities.

Comfortable beds, super clean hot tub and such a nice place to spend spring break. Excellent communication and very pleasant hosts. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips.

We loved our stay at Green Mountain Lodge. Kevin is a wonderful host and very helpful! He responded quickly when we had any questions or needs. His home is decorated very nicely. There was plenty of room for the seven of us in our family and was very comfortable. My grandkids loved the bunk beds and their own tv and we all loved the pool table. The porch was perfect for peaceful coffee time in the mornings. We had a wonderful relaxing family vacation staying at Green Mountain Lodge.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Close enough to all the hikes we wanted to do. Pet friendly (huge for us) and beautiful views! Please make sure you read the whole listing, as you definitely need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. We brought our own towels, sheets, and so on as stated and everything else we needed was available. Would recommend bringing dish towels. We had forgotten them this trip. Cooking pots and pans are little outdated but they’re just fine! We had a wonderful taco night anniversary dinner at the cabin and throughly enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub. There’s a very nice above ground pool also but it was too cold this time of year to swim in. I would definitely stay again!

My family and I enjoyed this beautiful place. The spectacular Mountain View’s from the living room was breathtaking. The whole house was gorgeous. Everything was neat and clean, big spacious room and bathroom. I loved the kitchen. There were lots of amenities available for us like the BBQ grill, the fire pit outside, unheated pool, hot tub outside, and games for my toddler. Tupac was quick and responsive. He recommended walking to the river side, usually you can see eagles fly around hunting for fish. Even though, we couldn’t go since it was raining, we drove and while crossing the mini bridge by the river, I got to see an eagle fly over the river. It was so cool!

Our stay at Peaceful Pines for our son’s JMU graduation was great! It was easily accessible to campus and because it was pet-friendly, allowed us to bring our fur baby with us. Mike and April were gracious hosts, quick to respond to questions, and extremely helpful as we planned our trip. The home was spacious and beautifully furnished. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck, making s’mores over the fire pit, enjoying burgers cooked on the grill, and playing pool on the 3-seasons porch. I highly recommend Peaceful Pines for anyone visiting JMU and for those looking for a relaxing vacation at the Massanutten Resort.
