Monthly Rentals in Mark Twain National Forest

Wonderful private location. Cabin was beautiful and very clean. The cedar wood smelled amazing. Everything you would need was provided. Owner was very friendly and very helpful; very responsive to each of our questions. As a side note- pack your flip flops for the shower as you share the public bathhouse with the other campground guests.

We adored The Aviary! The beautiful space and home are so welcoming and comfortable. We felt right at home and enjoyed a relaxing weekend on a beautiful property! We definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future!

We love our annual fall tradition of visiting Kristine & Rick’s beautiful wooded hamlet. The beds are perfectly comfortable, and every detail has been attended to in their cozy cabins. I especially love that I can let my rough and tumble boys play in the woods mostly unsupervised. I know they are safely surrounded by cow pastures on the outskirts of the small wooded area, so I can relax knowing that they are safe, while my city kids enjoy a marvelous adventure. We always love visiting Alley Spring Mill, especially during the fall. We typically stop at Echo Bluff and Elephant Rocks State Parks on our way back to St. Louis. And this time we stopped at Meramec Caverns on our way to the cabins which was a lot of fun. It breaks up the trip nicely. We’ll be back next year!
