Vacation rentals with a patio in Los Arribes

We really enjoyed staying at Gonçalo’s house! It is on the outskirts of Chaves but easy to drive in to town. The area is nice and calm. The porch is nice to relax with some wine and have a glimpse of Chaves. The house is located on a hill so there is a nice view from some areas of the house. The neighbors are really friendly. The house is comfortable to relax and cook some meals if you choose. Very comfortable beds and bedding to get a nice sleep. Bathroom water pressure and shower is great, which I don’t see very often in older homes even when refurbished. Gonçalo met us at the house and explained everything we needed to know. He has all kinds of tips for the area that he’s glad to share. He was always available if we had any questions. We definitely plan to stay again later this year as there are so many interesting small towns in the area to explore! Chaves is really a beautiful city with an amazing park, castelo, all types of restaurants and many small local businesses.

Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. Natacha and Raquel did so much for us. Such lovely, warm, genuine people. The extent to which they both went to assist us with a medical issue was heart warming. They are the salt of the earth. Their house is comfortable, full of character and well equipped, with a well stocked pantry and fridge. If you like a quiet, peaceful location, in a tiny old country village, this is it.

My partner and I spent a weekend at Francisco's great house. We were very comfortable in the house. Our dog had a great time too. Perfect to visit Salamanca and Ledesma, and disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Stars from the garden look great.

Unforgettable experience! What a wonderful place in the mountains. The view and farm is unique and I enjoyed it every minute of it. Pedro is a fantastic host, best I have ever stayed at. He took hours out of his time to teach us about his culture, his land, his wine, and olive oil he produces. He was so much better than all the tastings we went to out in Douro and Dao and has such a cool cellar tasting room. The house is perfect and has every touch you need. We had a fire one night outside and all the stars were out. Just the entire farm itself is perfect for a great hike. I could write for hours about how great this place is. Thank you so much Pedro for the experience and wonderful stay at your place. Lastly, the breakfast is great, the eggs are from the chickens on the farm, oranges from the orange trees on the farm, etc, true farm to table every morning.

Recommended! All as described. Amenities clean and useful. Communication with Manuela is easy and efficient. Location: In about 10 minutes to the historic old town. We were in Guarda for 9 days at the end of March and felt comfortable with Manuela.

Juana, the host, was attentive to us before, during and after the stay. She welcomed us with produce from her garden and gave it to us again a few days later. Super cozy house and true to the photos, with a super spacious garden, which we didn't take advantage of due to bad weather. Highly recommended accommodation to which we would definitely return. Juana is undoubtedly a great host.

The hosts were very kind and attentive all the time. The location is beautiful, and the house is very good and clean. Overall, a very nice stay. Would like to repeat in the future.
