It was just wonderful to visit the Douro region – and especially to be a guest of José and his family. The house is situated in a quiet, idyllic village location and is furnished in a charming country house style. We felt incredibly comfortable from the first moment. After just two days, we felt like we had been living in this wonderful house forever. The evenings in front of the crackling fireplace, with a glass of port wine from José's own vineyard, were unforgettable. José and his family fulfilled our every wish with their warm nature and attention and made our stay simply perfect. An absolute highlight is the wine tasting at José's – an experience not to be missed! We sincerely hope that we can return one day and enjoy your fantastic port wine with you. We were at Villa Aurora and it was as if we were the first to premiere, everything is very new and clean without losing the charm of the rural, the whole stay cozy and with good heating at the time we stayed, the environment is idyllic if you like the countryside, surrounded by native livestock of the Morucha breed and Iberian pig. We were there in August, the house is impeccable, in a quiet village, with many activities in the surroundings and the border with Portugal 20 minutes away by car.
