Beolary was built in 2015 and is sited in the quiet village of North Connel, just 5 miles from the bustling seaside town of Oban. The house is perfectly situated to explore Argyll and the Highlands and Islands.There are 5 bedrooms (2 of which are en-suite), a family bathroom and a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area. A porch, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, a large enclosed garden and patio and ample parking. The kitchen is fully equipped and all linen and towels are included. The house is laid out over 2 floors, the ground floor is comprised of front entrance porch and spacious hallway, leading on to the large living area with tv, sofas and also a sofa bed which could sleep a further 2 people. The dining table seats 8, there is also a foldaway dining table which could seat another 4 people and the breakfast bar which sits 3. The kitchen is fully equipped with ample crockery etc to cater for 12+ people, induction hob, double oven, microwave, fridge freezer, tassimo coffee machine. The utility room housing the washing machine and tumble dryer and back door are just off the kitchen and also entry to the ground floor bathroom which also acts as an en-suite to bedroom number 5. This room has a king size bed which sleeps 2 people and could be suitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues. Upstairs consists of a family bathroom with bath and over bath shower and 4 bedrooms. Room 1 (sleeps 3) This room comprises of 1 king size bed and a single bed. There is an en-suite shower room with fabulous views to the Mull and Morvern hills. Room 2 (sleeps 1) This small bedroom has 1 single bed. Room 3 (sleeps 2) This room has 2 single beds Room 4 (sleeps 2) This room has 1 double bed The enclosed Garden and patio are to the side of the house accessed from the living area by 2 sets of patio doors. There is patio furniture and also a charcoal barbecue for your use. The house is situated next door to the Lochnell Arms hotel which has a fabulous restaurant and lounge bar which also offers food to takeaway. There are 2 further hotels with restaurants within walking distance in Connel village ( across the bridge) which also has the village shop and post office. Another shop is situated in the village of Benderloch which is around 2 miles away but an easy walk or cycle along the cycle path which starts across the road from the house. Oban which has dozens of bars, restaurants supermarkets etc is just a 10 minute drive away. There is also a regular bus service between the town and village with the bus stop located across the road from the house. This would make a great base for exploring much of Scotland. We are around 2.5 - 3 hours drive from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Inverness. From Oban you can catch ferries to visit the Islands of Mull, Lismore, Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Barra and Uist. Tarbert is around 1.5 hours drive where you can catch ferries to Islay and Jura Glen Coe is around 40 minutes drive, Inveraray & Fort William about 1 hour. Mallaig (the ferry to Skye) around 2 hours. The Isle of Skye bridge is about 2.5 - 3 hours drive.

"Dail an Fheidh" (gaelic for "Deer Field") is a 2 bedroom house situated on the beautiful shores of Loch Linnhe. The house is set in an acre of field and has direct access to the loch. There are amazing views over to Ben Nevis and red deer graze near the house, all year long. A 40 minute drive will take you to the popular town of Fort William or head west to explore the stunning Ardnamurchan Peninsula. You can use the Corran Ferry to access the house, but please note, we are not on an island.

There are two small things to just be aware of in advance. 1) There are quite a few stairs getting down to the home. Just a caution for anyone with mobility impairments. 2) Selecting “get directions” through Apple Maps or Google Maps in the listing link does not take you to the correct place, nor does manually typing the address. You can get there by using the home’s coordinates or searching for Auchenheglish Mid Lodge.

Prachtig, ruim huis dat mooi verzorgd en schoon is. Omheinde grote tuin zodat kinderen (en hond) rustig buiten kunnen spelen. Heel veel voorzieningen aanwezig, prachtige uitzichten over het meer vanuit de eetkamer, veranda en het balkon boven. Vriendelijke host, reageert snel en heeft tips voor de omgeving. Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding! Wij raden het zeker aan. NB: Aanlegsteiger die in advertentie wordt genoemd is niet bij het huis. Huis zelf zit op de heuvel met uitzicht op het meer, dat 5 minuten naar beneden lopen is.

We hebben een week vakantie gehad in de Kerrycroy Cottage en het is ons twee erg goed bevallen! Een prachtig uitzicht over Afberfeldy en omgeving, waarbij je met een kwartiertje wandelen in het dorp bent. Met een druk bezocht voederplek voor de vogels, vlak voor het raam, die Henry en Marion geregeld bijvullen, erg leuk om naar te kijken. Ze vragen netjes of ze hem kunnen bijvullen en zijn alert op je privacy. Ook als je buiten zit. De bedden van het tweepersoonsbed liggen goed. Stevig, zakken niet door en het bed is lekker ruim. Het huisje is voorzien van alle gemakken, heeft een ruim aanbod aan keukengerei en een goede douche. Marion heeft ons vriendelijk welkom geheten en tips gegeven voor de omgeving. We mochten bij hen een wasje doen toen de wasmachine het niet deed, dat was geen enkel probleem (en de nieuwe wasmachine was diezelfde dag al besteld). We had the most wonderful stay at Loch View House! The location is incredibly serene and scenic and the house itself is gorgeous with really thoughtful touches! The place was big enough to host all 12 of us, including kids and each room is perfectly decorated! Ema was incredibly friendly and on hand to help too! We’ve made some incredible memories that we’ll treasure forever.
