Monthly Rentals in Little River

this was our third stay at the northbound whale and we hope to be back again soon. we love how close it is to the beach, the access to the trails, the decor, the outdoor space, the little sunroom in front... everything! the kitchen is well provisioned. if you'll be there on a Monday, head to town and pick up groceries and make yourself a nice home cooked meal in Lori's gourmet kitchen as most restaurants are closed. In the summer you can take a kayak tour of the sea caves just down the road, or head up the big river in Mendocino. there's so much to do in all the state parks nearby that even after your third visit, you'll still have so much to discover; the northbound whale is the perfect base for all your adventures!

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2-night stay here. When we arrived it was already dark. Jeff came out to greet us, walked us to the property and got us checked in. We loved taking salt soaks in the spa-like space at the back as it felt nice and secluded. Jeff and Amy have really thought of everything and I appreciated every little touch - the bookshelf with local books, the high quality coffee maker, the fabulous outdoor shower. In addition Mendocino downtown is close by with a lot of activities to do. We are already planning our next visit :)

This was the best Airbnb I've stayed at. The hosts really are great people and we felt welcomed from the get-go. They were always helpful and friendly. The property is lovely and spacious, both inside and out. It shows that the hosts put a lot of care and effort into creating a beautiful space. We felt at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We wish we were here longer, but we'll be back. :)

It was easily one of our favorite Airbnb stays! We are traveling the West Coast for three months and have always wanted to see and explore Mendocino. Katherine and Brian's home was the perfect place for us. It's even better than the photos. I will echo others that the views from both levels are spectacular. It was quiet, extra cozy bed, and a very spacious upstairs. The house is less than 10 minutes to Mendocino and the stretches of headland parks. The hosts were very easy to get a hold of, and I appreciated the slightly later check-out time of noon. We wish we'd stayed longer!
