Walk to the WATERFALL in the Russian Gulch State Park from the cottage. We are at the eastern edge of the park. We've been sharing our cottage with guests for many years and have many guests that return year after year. It's a perfect place for a honeymoon, anniversary, special occasion or quiet retreat. We were a family of 3 with a kindergartner and loved our stay. The house is clean and beautifully put together.. there were so many little details that felt like someone thought through everything.. down to board games and books to read and a little mirror where I could keep my earrings. The place is spacious and relaxing. We enjoyed playing corn hole and relaxing in the hot tub. Deer regularly visited us in the evening. Location is perfect as well… quiet and private but a short drive to Mendocino. Lori was very responsive and had great recommendations. If you’re looking for a place to relax with your family or a place to work in peace don’t hesitate to book.

This listing has a magical charm to it. The views are stunning and creates a space for both kids and adults to enjoy. We ate a few meals at the house but also drove up to Mendocino as well. Weather was perfect and we got to spend the mornings and afternoons at the nearby beaches. When we got back to the house, the kids had a great time playing with all the toys, games and puzzles. This listing truly created a wonderful home-base for our family vacation.

This Airbnb was adorable and even more cozy and comfortable than the pictures! It was great being a few minutes from Mendocino and close to Fort Bragg. My friend and I wanted to be more in nature and not in a hotel and this spot was perfect! 5/5 stars… would stay here again!

Jacob’s cabin was exactly as listed. Accurate description of amenities and clear instructions on how to get to the cabin. It’s a small space, but it has just what you need for a short stay. Service was spotty but internet was always fast and reliable. The furnace they provided kept the cabin warm. The mini fridge and microwave were nice additions. I wasn’t a fan of the outdoor shower (a personal preference honestly) but my boyfriend enjoyed it. The shower felt private enough, and there was no shortage of hot water. However keep in mind there is no light at the shower late at night - we came in late one night past 11pm and it was very dark, so we had to use a flashlight. Another night we showered closer to 9pm and there was a light on near the floor - so perhaps they turn off the light past a certain time? But I recommend bringing a flashlight just in case. Also there are no blackout shades (just regular ones) so if you’re sensitive to the light I recommend an eye mask!
