Kid-friendly vacation rentals in L'Aquila

Fabrizio's place is simply magical, a real hidden gem. The house is comfortable and tidy, the forest in which it is located is beautiful and private, despite being very easy to get there with a short walk. Fabrizio is a professional, kind and helpful person, in addition to welcoming us and showing us the accommodation in a complete way, dedicating time, he showed us hiking trails in Gran Sasso Park that we really appreciated. 5 stars easy!!

Everything was perfect. Tina and her parents were extremely friendly to us! They even lit the fireplace to create a magical and romantic atmosphere! Beautiful mountain views and a peace we haven't been able to find in a long time!

Mattia and Ezio's house is very nice, with attention to detail and immersed in a wonderful and relaxing environment. The house and garden have all the amenities you can want, even what you don't expect! Mattia and Ezio were more than kind and made us feel at home and pampered. Highly recommended and replicated experience!

The house is very nice, characteristic and spacious. The garden with bbq is enjoyable and the house really has EVERYTHING you could need. We were 2 families and we always had at least 1 meal a day at home and we had everything we needed. Washer and dryer present. We went during Easter week, the village was uninhabited, but the house is in the Majella park and many trails start from there. In addition, the location is not bad because it is halfway between the L'Aquila area and that of Pescara. Clearly you have to get around by car, but you can easily reach many wonderful places. The nearest supermarket is about 15 minutes away, the restaurant 10 minutes. It was the vacation we wanted, for us it was beautiful!

Our stay (with 2 very young children) in this beautiful cottage was a real relief. Located in an idyllic setting, the location exudes tranquility and nature. The house itself was brand clean and taken care of to the last detail. Lamberto's hospitality was top - from the moment of arrival to departure, we felt more than welcome. The house was also equipped with every comfort, even toys for the children were thought of. The village itself is very quiet, almost deserted, but precisely because of that you will experience an unprecedented silence and relaxation here. It is a great base for all kinds of beautiful excursions in the area. Finally, there is a charming, authentic restaurant in the village (Parkkeller). The food is delicious and the atmosphere cozy, perfect for a cozy dinner after a day of adventure.

It was wonderful to experience the beautiful town of Capestrano. The home was charming, cozy and comfortable and so romantic! Easy drives to Sulmona, L'aquila and Pescara.

This was a beautiful part of Abruzzo to stay. It was close to everything and each day we saw something new. Daniel’s father, Gino was onsite twice a day to ensure the pool was in tip top shape. The highlight was being invited to share lunch with Gino & Theresa on our last day. An interesting event with neither of us speaking any of each other’s language. (Google translate prevailed) it was a beautiful lunch together.

If you want to experience comfortable and modern accommodations in the heart of a crumbling, centuries-old village in one of the less touristed parts of Italy, then this is a perfect location. The apartment is on the lower level, so there is less natural light, but it is clean and full of modern amenities. It is small but easily accommodated two couples. The apartment is a minute or two walk from the local bar. There are not really any shops or restaurants in the village, but a 15 minute walk to the base of the town, down a street lined with tall cypress trees will bring you to the village bakery which also stocks a few other food items. Ofena was significantly damaged in the 2009 earthquake that devastated the nearby city of L’Aquila, so many of the buildings are damaged and a considerable amount of restoration is underway resulting in some areas being closed off and a fair bit of noisy construction when we were there.

Serena was a great host. She is super friendly, very responsive, and gives clear directions! A+++

Comfortable and cozy apartment for a couple with two children. Host available and quick communication with a person on site when we needed them. Very close to the center , with an SUV or large cars better to park near the church above.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Melarancino with Nala, our 5-month-old dog. The house has everything you need as well as an outdoor space that's great for the dog. Alessio was a very kind and helpful host: he allowed us to arrive before the standard check-in time and stay even after the check-out time. The house is also very close to L'Aquila and Campo Felice.

This was a magical experience. I cannot imagine a kinder and more helpful host than Kevin, and I can’t imagine a more magical location. Great advice on things to do in the area and incredibly helpful in terms of getting us oriented and “plugged in” in Capestrano.

The accommodation is complete with every need, clean, tidy and well heated, just ten minutes from the Campo Felice ski resorts. The owner Leonardo is a very friendly and helpful host, very quick to respond. We will definitely return to this home on a future occasion and we recommend it with pleasure.

Our stay at il Gufo Azzurro was great! The apartment was comfortable and had absolutely EVERYTHING one might need, including plenty of welcome gifts to get started (plenty for many breakfasts and also a dinner!). Such a convenient location - so close to the Centro Storico to walk to everything in town, but with a garage for our rental car for our adventures further afield. Lovely view over the town from the balcony. Some street noise on the balcony, but hardly noticed any noise when inside. Franca and Nello were very quick to respond with any questions we had, as well as for arranging check-in. We'll stay here again!

This home was spacious, relaxing and pristine. Silvana was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here every time we visited L’Aquila.

Lisa and Paul are nice and very kind hosts, they welcomed us cordially and the house was really nice, spacious and well furnished. The rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Our two children also had a great time. Recommended to everyone.

Being at Giorgio's place is like being at home, but with the possibility of a breathtaking view and a fireplace that would warm all hearts. Giorgio is an impeccable and super helpful host. We'll definitely be back.

This was a great stay, and Roberto is really kind. He helped us getting a late check-in, and the house contained all the devices we could imagine. Definitely recommended.

Sweet Home is better than advertised. Good size, plenty of light, great heat, and well equipped kitchen. Andrea was kind in every interaction, met us in the piazza because the house is on a secret/hidden street, walked us in and gave a grand tour. He ensured we knew how everything functioned, and brought his bilingual son in the event a translator was needed! He told us his favorite restaurants and things to do in Tagliacozzo, and even left a gift for us on the kitchen table. We highly recommend this place.
