Lake side house rentals in Lake Vermilion

Nicol’s place was very private and quiet. Located in a private bay on Shagawa Lake with no noise from other boats or vacationers. The house was clean and spacious, just as described. We had plenty of space for 7 and could have easily fit more. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept great. The kitchen was well appointed & had everything we needed for cooking all our meals in. We rented a pontoon from Lakewood Lodge to complete our week on the lake. We highly recommend Nicol’s place & would stay here again.

My family and I had such an incredible stay at Jennifer’s lake house. It was the perfect combination of spacious, cozy, and private for us to spend our Christmas week there. The location and wintry weather had us feeling like we were in a snow globe. The house was even decorated for the season, and had more than enough room for the group we had. Makes me excited for the summer months, as I would absolutely book here again!

We stayed at this property to ride the ATV trail system. You could not ask for a better location to the system. Easy to get to the trails, and access to two great loops to ride.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

Wonderful stay! The house was just as described and we loved being able to use the kayaks and fire pit. The sunset views here are amazing and the kitchen has everything we needed for cooking. Would definitely stay again!

WOW! This place is such an awesome find and Charlie and Heidi have been the most responsive, helpful and kind hosts we have come across in our time using Airbnb. The home is gorgeous and laid out in a way that even with a large group of people, you can always find a quiet spot for yourself. The view is AH-mazing! Beds were extremely comfortable, home was spotless, and the young adults LOVED the sauna. I personally enjoyed my morning coffee in the downstairs porch area or on the deck, enjoying the million dollar view and listening to the loons. Heidi and Charlie have put so much thought into making sure that their home feels like your own with so many thoughtful and appreciated supplies and comforts. They put their heart and soul into making sure you have a memorable and lovely stay. Highly recommend!!

Wow! It was such a beautiful home, and the area was incredible and so peaceful. The house truly had everything we needed and more. It had a huge kitchen, large eating spaces, beautiful bedrooms with comfy beds. We loved the bunk room combined with a game room/movie projector area! Outside we enjoyed playing corn hole, Jenga and s’mores around the fire pit. My entire family had a wonderful vacation. Such a fabulous way to start the summer. Jake and Annie were great hosts. Excellent communication! Always received a prompt response.

Our stay at Crane Lake was great! Everything was as described. Mike and Angie were amazing hosts. The garage space was so great for our kids and they loved hanging out there. The dock space was amazing and lots of good fishing right off the dock. The paddle boat was a big hit with my kiddos. We would definitely come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael's lakeside retreat. The photos represented it well and we were especially pleased with the detailed directions for the route off the highway. The fireplace was a treat. Our only struggle was remembering which switches controlled which lights… even though many of them were labeled, we still had to guess/remember several times. The heaters in each room were effective and the kitchen was well-stocked. We certainly recommend Michael's North Bay Getaway.

We had such a great stay! The house is perfect for a small group trip and the surrounding area is so peaceful and gorgeous. Siri was very responsive and even baked us corn muffins upon our arrival and lent us some cooking oil. Would definitely stay here again!

We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is adorable with plenty of space around it. After reading a few reviews about the train tracks being so close I was a little concerned about safety and noise. Once we arrived I noticed that safety was not an issue as a river (stream) is located between the property and the tracks. The train runs through frequently but it didn't have a negative impact on our stay and we live in the country with no trains. Randy was very pleasant to work with and I can't say enough good things about our stay. it was a perfect fit!

What a wonderful place for our family of fisherman to stay. Really clean and wonderful Amenities. Would be terrific for families or anyone. Kitchen, dining room, family room, deck and 3 bedrooms all excellent. Easy to park our boats in the evenings. The best is the beautiful view from the house or nice deck. Murray was also excellent to communicate with…and super responsive.

Wonderful house on a beautiful lake. Loved it!!!! Everything in house worked as it should. It was very pleasant with huge sliding glass doors onto deck overlooking lake. Think it's the nicest airbnb I've stayed in.

I’m so happy we picked this one! The location was really great. Easy to launch our boat and find the dock, which by the way is a great dock. Close to town, where I went too often to get an iced latte and raspberry white chocolate scone at Sulu’s. 2 different trails that could take you to Soudan or to Tower. If we ever have the opportunity to stay again, I would bring our bikes. The house was spacious, super clean and had everything you could think of. It kept our 5 year old occupied when he didn’t want to go out fishing. Not once did he ever complain that he was bored.

Very nice home to base out of for our snowmobile trip. Easy to find and plenty of parking for 2 pickups and trailers. The snowmobile trail is right out the end of the driveway-easy access. April was always just a call or text away to help with your stay. The home is spacious and a nice open floor plan. We utilized the heated garage to thaw out one of the snowmobiles and do some minor repairs.

This was exactly what was presented in the listing and exactly what our little family needed. The cabin was clean, furnished wonderfully, and right on the lake with a great view. We went up to spend time not only on the lake but also in near by cities and the location was perfect. We were able to make a day trip to Ely and visit the International Wolf Center and the North American Bear Center one day and another day visited Bear Head State Park and Sudan Underground Mine. Lynn and Asad were extremely welcoming and helpful. We were able to spend 5-7 hours swimming on the beach at the lake and used the vintage paddle boat, and kayak. It was an all around great experience and my 13 year old daughter already has asked to make this trip a tradition each year. Highly recommend.

I/we loved being on the island my in-laws used to own! Hence the name Rasmusson Island.😊 The island is in my opinion the best place on the lake as far as location. My only negative comment would be that the loft is not adult friendly due to the low ceiling. I’m 65 yrs old and I managed my way around the loft and the steep ladder to it.(moved slowly) Mike and Alyssa were AWESOME hosts and communicated well with me!! I hope to return to the island in the near future.

Debbie's place was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It's a great location - walkable to restaurants and shops, and close to the Bear and Wolf centers and close to hiking trails. We would highly recommend!

A true hidden gem! We did a group snowmobile trip from here and couldn't be happier that we picked this place! Meredith answered our questions regarding parking for our multiple larger trucks & trailers (we did need to back in our 4 place trailer but it was a very straight driveway back and not hard to do) and snowmobile trail out to the main trail. The place is big, clean and comfortable and has everything you could need including wifi. Beds are comfortable. Glenn was a joy to talk with and even lead our group on snowmobile out to the lake! Will be planning another trip here in the future!

The cabin was a perfect getaway for few days during the fall season. We were able to see the beautiful colored leaves right at peak before they began to drop from all the wind. The cabin location is easy to get to and instructions were clear. We were able to fish off the dock, and see many deer right out the kitchen window the first couple mornings. Matt’s communication was quick to respond and very helpful when needed.
