Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Lure

I’ll just say it, I’m thankful for Jon. We did a late check in, because I had to work, which meant we didn’t get in until 12 am. It was dark. I pulled into what I thought was our home for the next few days, tried our code but couldn’t get in, called Jon and this man answered so politely out of his sleep, to help me realize that I was at the wrong home😬😬 Once, we got us to the correct place though, everything was smooth sailing from there..except for all of our craziness. The lake was gorgeous, I fell in love with the kitchen, and the beds were amazing. It was all so cozy and homey. I can’t thank Jon enough for dealing with my craziness around midnight that night.

We loved our stay. The hosts were super responsive, and went above and beyond. Finally, an airbnb that looks like the photos and is as described! Clean, bright, and comfortable. Plus, they totally understood my chemical sensitivities and made sure I was safe from artificial fragrances from laundry and cleaning products. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time. The views are beautiful and the house is spacious with a great layout for a large group. The house has been thoughtfully decorated and furnished with a fun lake theme. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The kids had a wonderful time at the private lake! They paddled around the lake in their floats and played on the sandy shady beach. It was a bit warm to try out the hot tub and the fire table on the porch but we hope to come back in the spring or fall to take advantage of all the amenities this house has to offer.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at this cozy mountain cottage. The location is peaceful and quiet, offering the perfect escape, while still being conveniently accessible to nearby attractions and local spots. The cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. The grill and hot tub were both in excellent working condition and added to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. We could tell the hosts put great care into creating a welcoming experience. We continue to support our friends and the local mountain community as they rebuild, and this stay reminded us just how special this area is. We highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a serene and comfortable retreat in the mountains.

Our family is huge so it’s really hard to find a house large enough to host all of us. Daniel’s house was GORGEOUS and so spacious, the photos did not do this place justice. The upstairs was beautiful with large windows that let natural light in. We did encounter a mama bear and her baby, but Daniel warned us every day during our stay to keep trash in and be aware of the bears. We were secured inside the house and got to watch through the windows. It was an amazing experience for the kids. The golf cart was a game changer. We didn’t have to move our vehicles a lot. The amenities were perfect for us and the kids. Two pools, mini golf, and pickleball was all we needed to stay busy the entire weekend. Lake Lure was closed, but that was told to us weeks before the trip. We will definitely come back when Lake Lure opens. 10/10 vacation!!!!!!

5 Stars — A Perfect Stay! Allison and Cory were incredible hosts! From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Teased the hosts we would give a bad review so they wouldn’t always be booked up and we could get a reservation again! Everything was excellent

First I will say, we are picky and this spot was PERFECT!!! We loved everything about Jane’s place!! Jane and her sweet husband were very helpful and accommodating and so friendly! I highly recommend their little getaway and we will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful stay!!! The apartment and gardens were so lovely, peaceful, and private. The apartment was very clean, beautifully decorated, and had the perfect view of the gardens. The location is perfect and made walking to town a breeze! We so enjoyed talking to Walter and sherry too. They were an absolute delight! Highly recommend this gem! We can’t wait to visit again!

We have nothing but good things to say about Muffi and Tim’s wonderful studio! The space was immaculately clean and very cozy. Muffi communicated often and made sure we felt comfortable reaching out with any questions we may have had. We also arrived after dark, and still had a very smooth arrival and it was very easy to locate the Studio due to Muffi’s instructions. We could not recommend this space enough, especially if you are hoping to visit downtown Asheville or the Biltmore Estate!

Our stay at Hiker’s Hideawqy was perfect. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed for coffee in the morning, meal prep, and tea in the evening. It’s a great location too. I’m sure we will be back!

This stay was a treasure! Very affordable, great location to relax and sweetly decorated and welcoming feel. The hosts provided us with everything we needed and prepared the space for a beautiful weekend! Will most certainly be back!! We also appreciated the reasonable rate, allowing us to pour back into the community. Restaurants and shopping options were first class!

We stayed in the cabin for a death in our family March 2025 and wanted a place clean, relaxing and quiet and we got just that!! We did have a "tiny" issue but when Tamra found out she was on it, and it was corrected quickly and we even talked on the phone, and she was the sweetest person. The Cabin was clean and comfy and so relaxing, and the beds were so comfortable also. We would definitely come back to stay & recommend it to anyone!!

Absolutely perfect for our needs! The space was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessities, making our stay stress-free. The host truly thought of everything and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, always quick to answer any questions we had. Chad and Allison were fantastic hosts. The place is absolutely beautiful and lots of things for kids to do. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway with lots of things to do, this is your spot. Will definitely book again.

This was a great 2/2 in downtown Asheville. It was clean, comfortable with easy access. Relatively quiet space. My friend had a car and was happy for the guest parking (the street is metered parking and the meter maids are active). The location is good proximity to the airport and the Biltmore (I Uber’d to both). I would definitely recommend this place for your Asheville stay. Cheers!

Great Place to stay! Great Host!

One of the best rentals we have stayed in. The location is wonderful. We walked to great restaurants and shops. We will definitely rent this one again.
