Vacation rentals in La Louyre

We were allowed to spend a wonderful week in "our little paradise." We lovingly named the accommodation this way because it is simply fantastically beautiful. In real life, it is even more beautiful than in the pictures. The surroundings are incredibly quiet and when you sit outside, you can only hear the chirping of the birds. Perfect for unwinding and replenishing your own energy reserves. The accommodation itself is furnished with a lot of passion and attention to detail. You can immediately feel that Luisa and Patrick have created something very special here. The two were very warm from the beginning, explained everything to us and asked several times during our stay if everything was okay. We really appreciated that. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a break in a quiet, natural environment. A real insider tip for refueling.

The farmhouse is rustic and so wonderfully peaceful. We spent nearly a whole day on the patio in the shade of a beautiful tree and just enjoying the peace, beautiful weather, and ambiance. The location is outside of villages and you definitely need a car. There is a small town about a 10 min drive away that has a wonderful boulangerie (Gabriel’s) that we frequented. It is also near the Dordogne river and a 45-60 min drive from Beynac-et-Cazenac and the beautiful small towns (and canoeing on the Dordogne between Vitrac and Beynac).

We had a lovely family weekend in Pierre-Olivier's house, we would have gladly stayed for a week! A beautiful setting, surrounded by nature, conducive to disconnection and the simple little things of life.

We booked this accommodation for a wedding, for only 24 hours unfortunately... We didn't have all the time to discover the place or even the pool but we were very happy with our night, the accommodation was very clean, very charming and with very comfortable bedding! Thanks to Elena for hosting us (even quickly because we were very late to the wedding!)

We had a wonderful week staying in Marie Francoises place. She made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a very quiet place and we could hear nothing but a few sheep. Everything we needed was available in the village about 5 minutes drive away. Very central to explore the Dordogne area. Would definitely recommend if you like to get away from it all.

Serge’s place is amazing. We spent a lovely 10 days there in May and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s walking distance into the village which has everything you need, and the place itself is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful setting with its own lake. Serge was so responsive and kind to us during the stay too - he went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!

Such an idyllic stay! The gîte is perfectly located amidst peaceful surroundings, you really feel like you’re in the middle of the French countryside. The garden is enormous, and was a lovely area for our little girl to run around. The pool area is very clean and looks new, located within the grounds , it’s a little walk from the gite but this is great for feeling of privacy. The gite itself is well equipped, clean, spacious and remains cool even when it’s very warm outside. A home away from home. It’s very easy to park outside the front. The local village is very picturesque with restaurants, boulangerie, mini supermarket. It’s a quick drive down, but was too far for us to walk, especially in the heat. Sarah was a fantastic host, was very easy to contact and responsive. Such a wonderful introduction to the Dordogne region for my family and I100% would recommend. Merci beaucoup pour tout, Sarah.
